    I like the way that little Maggie always helps by supervising the work.

    So funny "the supplier even thought of knee pads" 😂🤣😂 Its great hearing you and your mate banter. And also cant forget Magster bopping into shot. Hows the nose remember to bob and weave when the pots and pans are flying in your direction 🤣😂

    I have this same set up and added the latch, to hold the gate shut.

    People will always ignore the signs and stickers, a mag lock would be perfect, it'll hold the gate tight shut, it adds a little bit of security and I imagine the you can wire the lock into that same control panel

    A rubber bumper for the gate to land on?

    Hi tim i forgot to ask how did you get on with looking at the plastic cladding for inside the house. I wish i had put auto open on my drive gates would be so much easier

    How about a wee leccy current on the gate. If someone pushes the gate they get a wee jolt. They won't push it again in a hurry.😂

    I put a sign on my gates to stop people trying to force them, mine also open outward so people were always trying to push them inward.

    It would be handy if it came with a sign to stop unwary delivery drivers trying to force it...

    As the roof isn't on this is a old vlog. Your friday 4th November vlog has been removed from TH-cam! I know there was one as the thumbnail has you both in it but it's no longer available 😤

      Don’t think we posted on Friday. We do change thumbnails for the first few days so you may have seen a different one. First part of this vid is install second half review. 👍

    No safety edges or hinge guards. Normal DIY ignoring the regs. i hope no one gets hurts. The pressure at the hinge end will brake bones.....

    Edit:. Add the optional latch to prevent delivery drivers etc forcing it open in the future.
    I installed a toppins double gate opener a few months ago. So far so good, few minor annoyances - the beam sensor works on both opening and closing even though it's pointless for opening. Also for the double gate at least I need to add a physical hard stop to stop the wind blowing gates Infront of the beam. ( Only standard 5 bar gates)
    Also the extension look for the far side gate was not anywhere near long enough. I replaced it with like for like guage wire a few meters longer, but there is enough voltage drop that the far side gate moves almost half the speed of the near side gate.

    • @TheRestorationCouple
      @TheRestorationCouple  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good to know. Will probably do double gates on the lower yard when we get around to it. The latch would work, I guess it links to another one of the buttons on fob?

    • @bassplaya69er
      @bassplaya69er ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheRestorationCouple latch is triggered automatically. Inside the control box there are pots to set a short delay between the latch opening, the first gate opening, then. The second gate opening.
      I guess you could use different buttons for each set of gates though.
      The latch isn't exactly high security, only need to remove a split pin to bypass it.
      Other company's make more secure ones if needed though.
      Whole kit is great value for money. I know people that have paid £5k - 7k for motorised gates.
