DMF SONY - autofocus AI + manual fine tune. i do this when i am doing some nature shots to make sure i fine tune the focus after it auto grabs part of the subject, and i want to use my peak focus to tune it in, good for small subjects low on the ground flower ect...good for getting the petals, or whatever pulled into focus sharp while giving depth to the rest of the picture.

Great info about focusing modes. I'm 99% a center point and AF-S person. But then, I'm also 99% portraits.
I took a look at your Pro Cert program. That's a LOT of topics covered. Watching a photoshoot in action should be very helpful. One question - if I say I'm Malaysian, but living in Galapagos, do I get the $20 Malaysian discount? Or do I need to return to my home in Kwai Chai Hong? Oh, you're not falling for it. hehe

Just avoid AF-A. YOU decide where you want to focus most of the time. The camera is smart but you are smater when it comes to your desired subject.
