Haybo, when are we going to stop being labelled with loadshedding?😂😂😂 We have not had it since March and by the look of things they are nit going to be pulling that stunt again any time soon, after being severely punished in the last elections. Nuce video. Very real. Enjoyed watching it, and I don’t particularly watch travel South Africa videos anymore ♥️♥️♥️♥️ The yte haves overdo security. Millions of people live in standalone houses, fancy houses and not fancy and they’re just fine, and yes home invasions (robberies) do happen, just like in the US.
It could come back, so it's okay to leave it on this video. This government of ours will break your heart. We've went 18months without loadshedding before and it came back.
My bank 🏦 is USAA. USAA refunds all of your ATM 🏧 fees. As long as you have a bank that refunds your ATM 🏧 fees, you shouldn’t have a problem using the 🏧 in South Africa 🇿🇦. I did it for 14 days and my fees were refunded to my account 24 hours later. If your bank doesn’t offer this, then get rid of them and find a bank 🏦 who does. It’ll make traveling to SA easier and less stressful. No conversion rates required. I hope this bit helps. 😀
Considering a trip to the motherland in the near future. I couldn't decide between Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, or South Africa. Thanks to this podcast, I'm leaning towards South Africa....
All of those places are on our list we decided to start w/ SA because it was the cheapest ticket 😂 but we're glad we started here. Best wishes in your exploration!
This is the first video of your's I've watched. Love your energy. Nice to see I recognized every place you were (without you telling), because I live here in Pretoria. Have been here for almost two years. Relocated back after a lifetime in the US (mostly Texas). My late mother is African American and today is her birthday (Happy Birthday Mum!!!). She spend most of her life in Africa, being married to my father, a Mosotho from South Africa. She spent her last years in Texas, but really, really missed here. Love it here - reconnecting with family and friends and making new friends. South Africa is a naturally gorgeous country, but the best thing about it is the people. Returning is the best thing I ever did. Every day, I count my blessings to be back. You did a great job on this video! I think I'm hooked.
Thank you!!! We didn't get a chance to explore Pretoria enough so we'll be coming back to experience more of the city soon. Glad you found your home and welcome to the channel!
As a white South African I appreciate this content. Yes we have problems like any country including corrupt politicians, however we have a strong civil society that always always looks to hold the centre. Howzit is from hoezit which from Afrikaans "Hoe is dit?"
So its the brothers using tha caucasian Germanic language...
I just wanna rectify the origin of the word "howzit". Howzit is Durban Coloured slang for "hello". It's not Caucasian.

@@biggeststeppa1Its false I don’t know who told him that BS
@@southafricaismyhome814Stop lying on us. 34% of black Americans had passports as of 2023 and the number is rising. Less than half of Americans of any race have passports since the U.S. is so cool and large that many don’t bother to travel. Every black person I know has a passport and has traveled to many countries. Black people have increased our net worths as well. We aren’t all rich but only a small percentage is poor.
How racist is it over there heated mixed reviews on traveling
We haven’t experienced any racism but some melanated locals have expressed they still experience it, while some non melanated ppl feel it’s no longer a problem.
