I love this family content! The Chad Fab clan are “hands-on” workers that know how to have fun while “Gettin-her DONE”. Great seeing the Gonzo getting some much improvements and a face lift! Keep up the good teamwork!

Brother, I was a paint and body man for almost 40 yrs and had some health problems and quit.
Can't stand up for long so I fell in love with lawnmowers and started 2 projects at once.
I learned that if I'm building YOUR automobile then I do it YOUR way.
If it's mine then it's MY call.
    Yo Truck Yo Way.

Chad's Fab family is at it again and Korbin on the pressure washer was the best! Gonzo is really looking good moving forward on the cleaning and rocker arm repairs that Chad's doing. The new seat is going to be a good match for the inside of the truck and comfortable at that! Love it when Stacy drove Gonzo around and into the garage. I was looking for a burnout, but she's saving that for Chad! All the family and friends coming together to get things done. Awesome video!

Gonzo has never been so clean. My friend showed me his secret for removing old paint. I helped him one day, and I was amazed. He starts with a 4 inch paint brush and a gallon can of DOT 3 brake fluid. He would coat everything with the brake fluid and let it sit for a couple of days. Then he would fire up his steam cleaner (not a pressure washer), and literally wash sheets of paint off of the surface. I was amazed the first time I saw him do that.

When I was shop boss at hodges trucking , the satellite yard in wilburton Oklahoma, unit drilling mechanic sometimes wanted to use a bay to stay dry , so I'd get a barrel of. Rig soap , open the soap up low water pressure, let set , come back and take it plum to bare metal if it didn't have a good primer . Sure made my jobs faster and easier. The main bosses in Oklahoma city, couldn't understand how quickly, I'd have a truck prepped and ready for painting. .

That's cool you use a copper spoon I made mine out off copper pipes had a piece of 3/4 L hard pipe i cut it in half it was 27 inches one piece I cut a seam down one side and flattened it out and cut a heavy 1/8 over half the pipe I used the smaller half and started flattening the pipe out and when I had it close to flat I stuck the smaller piece I cut from the other half inside the pipe and finished flattening it out I have used mine for over 35 years. Saved me a many blown hole in thin sheet metal.

Showing how to have family fun on a restoration project. That steam cleaner packs quite a punch, removing some of Gonzo's paint layers (white, blue, red, black, green/teal). What is the interior color (gold with hues of brown/red/black)? Looks good. Waiting to see some of the accessories as you install them. Liked returing Gonzo to his previous lustre as much as is reasonably possible. An easy driving date/church vehicle.

Your philosophy advice. Here's mine. Clean white brightens attitudes and makes EVERYTHING more visible (you notice when you get older eyes). A contractor friend suggested Zinsser123 primer and I have bought gallons and gallons of it for shops (2). It is the toughest best paint. It even waterproofs. Very white. Good to teach your kids how to make it all better and keep it nice. Your garage doors are stinkers. Empty spaces in rocker panels: I've always wanted to fill them with foam to stop water and air from making rust. ? "Obstacles to overcome," sonny.

we use 400 500 800BAR hot water (real hot ) to take off paint and rust
you can take rust off down to bear iron .. the small cleaner can handel worm water from the tap
and just 40 60´c will peal paint off too as soon iron get hot the paint get thermo plastic,, and peel off
but.. let it dry like in dri over night with a ventilator maybe a heater or somthing ..greetings from denmark
