That last one is classic! LOL I am going to look into that because my son and daughter-in-law own a candle making business!! We are going to team up with my woodworking and their candlemaking and see what we can do to profit!
Thanks so much for breaking these things down to their simplest form as well! I'm a rookie woodworker, so anything I can do to learn is very much welcomed. Your no-nonsense explanations are right on the money (no pun intended).

Hey Matthew, I just want to say thank you for all your videos. It feels like your channel is the only one that is really aimed at true beginners trying to make something happen with woodworking, without having all the fancy tools. Your videos have inspired me to try to make things, and feel a little more confident that I can actually make stuff that people will want to buy. Especially since I try to use pallet wood since I don’t have much money to buy real lumber with, using my mind to be creative about smalls that I can make utilizing the natural worn look of the wood, instead of the other pallet woodworkers who just throw all their pallets through a jointer and planer (which I don’t have) to make them perfect. I love your channel. Thank you again!

I recently discovered your channel. I am a female acrylic artist who has always wanted to build my own product to paint. I will be 53 at the end of this month, so I had better get started... lol! Your videos have truly made me feel like I can do anything I put my mind to! Thank you for sharing your true wealth of knowledge with all of us! I agree with another persons comment about you being a phenomenal teacher!! You are genuinely gifted in both woodworking and teaching!! Thanks again 😊

I am just getting in to woodworking after not having done it since Highschool. And while I'm not at a point to sell anything yet, as I'm just starting, I'm going to use a lot of these as Practice and stuff for my Wife to put around the house.

I made a lot of those measurent boards when i was doing art & craft shows. The hash marks and numbers were all routered. I made a full 6' jig and i could route the full board board in about 6-7 minutes. I got $35-$50 for them (more at the bigger shows in Louisville area, lesser in the BG Owensboro area). They were pretty good sellers.

"They didn't have to do anything with the bark cuz that's what's on half the 2x4s you fine anymore" 😂 how true! You have to dig through the pile for 15 minutes getting slivers trying to find a straight one.

Sorry had to toss the idea out there too. Your remote holder- Make it a little larger and cut overall cost by making most the large side out of poultry fence. Basically the same build just a little tweaking to it. Then you have your Rustic Silverware & Napkin holder for a center piece. 👊

Reclaim does sell better, I took scrap 2x6 end crop from a site and carved a snowman and reindeer, added Hobby Lobby accents and my Daughter loved it. Wished I knew how to upload a picture from my phone but I do not. Now I making a 3' tall Christmas tree from sawmill cedar for my other daughter and will add an interior board to paint the Manger scene add fairy lights and it will be one of a kind. Thank You Matthew I have just started building after watching many videos.

However this one I’m not too sure about.
I looked on Amazon and found numerous coat racks that are very similar for $22-$45. The most expensive was $125 and that was very elaborate with a big hand carved looking base. Don’t think I’ll be trying this one but thanks for posting.

I think you got the construction of the hanging folder holder wrong. If you look closely, they appear to be 2-layered. One solid backer board, then on top four triangles, a long cross piece and 2 pices to form the second cross piece.

Too funny, I just finished4 pieces of 4x4 with 1.5 inch forstner bits drilled 5 holes for T-lights. i'm going to move on to 1x4's layer them up and stain/paint each one a different colour glue them up and drill them as before.of course they will be more expensive.
