  • Wild track day on the Triumph Speed Twin. What's usually limited to 15 riders/day was a free for all with 40+ bikes showing up after a month of no riding due to either rain or private events on scheduled track days.
    Good times!
    Shot with Gopro Hero 10. 4k. 60fps.
    Location: Bira Circuit in Pattaya Thailand

    On the street the Speed Twin gives up nothing to sportbikes below 100mph.

    • @mymotosai5036

      And the Speed Twin is more fun to ride on the twisty roads with that 1200 cc twin talking to you everytime you roll on the throttle 😁

    Nice job. I’m taking my identical bike to the track this summer. It’s a hilly, tight, mountain course. So maybe it’ll shine with low speed torque out of the turns.

    Nice work out there! What would you say was this bike's limiting factor? It handles itself well on the street, but I bet it felt a bit heavy in those S-turns.

    • @mymotosai5036
      @mymotosai5036  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thanks. It handled ok on the track and s-turns. Felt pretty planted considering the crap suspension.
      The limiting factor for me was hitting the redline so quick so having to always gear up or back off to the next corner. I didn't want to ride the bike too hard but hit redline even in 5th gear on the finish stretch. Whereas the sport bikes thrive in the higher revs and could fly around the track in 2nd and 3rd.
      I had MT09 before and was a few seconds faster on that around the track.

    Im considering this bike vs a Stteet triple RS. What can you say about it? Powerwise is there a big difference? Will not use on track road only. Can it hang with the RS?

    • @mymotosai5036
      @mymotosai5036  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Big difference. Rode both and Street triple much better performance in every respect.
      Very different bikes but the Speed Twin shines in character, looks and enjoyment out of its 1200cc engine everytime you roll on the throttle.
