Donut Operator is former Navy and LEO as well as SWAT. He has a huge following on YT where he analyzes police shootings and he doesn’t automatically take the side of the cops. Brandon Herrera is a licensed gun dealer. He just lost a Congressional election. Brandon has no military background. Eli Doubletap founded Unsubscribe podcast. He is former military. @ChaseFausett ah ok. I remember him telling a story of sels training when he was doing it, and he said. "I really want to play Skyrim right now." If he had a back injury as well, then that makes total sense.

Cody runs a skate shop since he gave up undercover work. Herra made the AK-50 and owns an AK factory. Eli has a company I think in addition to the media stuff and charity work. These guys are all pretty multifaceted.
Brandon Herra came around 400 votes short of winning a Republican primary for Congress in a likely Republican district. We almost got a TH-camr Congress-man.
The guy on the right started the podcast, eli doublefap. He is a combat vet, Iraq in ~ '05 I think. The left is donut operator, Cody. Does police content on yt, former cop. All 4 are hosts, they bring on all kinds of guests. History is sometimes on, but fairly rarely
@@Itbane1337 I think donut is happy to just chill out and relax with friends. When he has something to say he does. You saw it on Grandpa's episode, when Grandpa talked about being military police. He's not the type to force conversation - you can see it in his vlogs.
Egypt is my favorite counter-example to the "history is written by the victors" argument. Egypt would go fight in Mesopotamia, get in a dangerous position for both sides and declare a truce, then both sides would go back home and write of their glorious victories over each other. But then they also recorded the peace treaty.

Well that is one way to appease the blood thirsty without having an actual war.
To be fair this is only a 29 minute portion of a 3+ hour podcast episode, but when a host or guest gets in their "flow state" the rest usually let them go off and bounce off their energy for the whole rant. They often cover multiple topics through each podcast episode, this rant is just one of them.
To be fair, they don't exactly go into different topics like in a normal conversation lol. They get something going, get more drunk, someone derails the convo, they go in a whole different direction that sometimes ends in a nic rant, then they return to the original topic before being derailed again. Love the unsub guys
My last History Teacher (In H.S., Class of '83), was a D-Day (Normandy) Veteran, and in at least ONE of the classic B/W footage taken as soldiers began boarding the landing craft, he was actually captured on film (For the briefest of seconds), but clearly recognizable if you'd seen him IRL). He was an AVID History Student himself, and one of the greatest things about him was he didn't just feed us the rhetoric, dates/Names, he also explained the background and after effects (As best he could in the time slot allowed). He also brought in or accepted our new clips/stories, and we'd discuss the 'Cause-and-Effect', and THEN project the likely outcomes down the road. He was truly an inspiration to everyone that was lucky enough to have him as their Teacher, and I really missed his heartfelt passion for his chosen career and manner. R.I.P. Mr. Kwoka. You are still remembered!!! That said, a hearty handshake from me to you good Sir, for choosing to be a History Teacher yourself! You obviously care just as much about the subject, and your enthusiasm shines through in your videos! Thank YOU! :-)
@@johnhanna4403 They CAN be tame, it depends on the guest really. When they have a Vet or a friend on...Mass quantities of alcohol are consumed and the more rowdy they get. You can tell how Drunk Eli is by how loud it laugh gets too.
You’re one of the few react channels that actually gives decent input on the content they’re watching. I wish I had a history teacher like you back in the day
When I was taught WW2 in high school they basically taught it like "Nazis where killing Jews so America went over and beat them and I guess the USSR and Japan was involved too", It was pitiful. I would've knew nothing that wasn't D-Day and the Bombs had it not been for people around me who were there.
My highschool went into quite a bit of depth about WW2. We learned about the US cutting off oil supply to imperial Japan and the post WW1 political climate that lead to the rise of nazism. As well as lend lease to the USSR.
@@drizzd1 Sounds like you had a quality education, my WW2 schooling was basically "The holocaust and Pearl Harbor happened so we fought the Germans and the Japanese". I had so many questions my teachers weren't prepared for because my Grandpa was Finnish and fought in the war. I learned so much more from reading and talking to people than from school.
I remember my high school history textbook having about a paragraph about the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, basically it stated that Germany declared on Poland first, then Russia a few days later. The pact was an agreement to partition poland and to leave each other alone in their separate spheres of influence. Though that was basically it, nothing else was really mentioned about Russia until Germany broke the pact and invaded.
To answer the question at 25:00 I think it’s most fair to say that Eli is the host and that there are times when Nic steps back and lets others really have a convo. But when communism comes up or something else that he is passionate about, no matter the guests, Nic becomes the center of the podcast until someone can piss him off enough with communism that the show goes away from history. It’s like they have a super entertaining specials that becomes the point person when his field of study is being discussed.
Nic’s communism rant clip from the unsubscribe podcast may be the most eloquently spoken hatred of communism fact-bashing I will ever witness, and he did it drunk.
Donut, Eli and Baddie started it, Donut left, baddie left, Brandon was secondary host, Donut came back, Brandon and Nic joined. Nic is the only one not living in Texas. He comes down once a month and they record podcasts.
3 of them have military backgrounds and brandon does not but is a military child who lived on fort bragg for a long time. on the left of the screen is Donut Operator he does police breakdowns on youtube, on the right is Eli Doubletap.
The gentleman on the right goes by Eli Double Tap, and he's one of the founding hosts or THE founding host of the podcast. Ex- military purple heart recipient, his son has autism and he will often make jokes about autism (not in a mean way). They also recently had an autism research fundraiser which went fantastically and they raised a ton of money for it through their "Tism Touch" merch which was a limited run of shirts for the fundraiser. I believe they raised over $100k in total for autism research, and Eli started one of the podcast openings with a very heartfelt thank you to the viewers for doing so much for kids like his own through the fundraiser. Overall a very wholesome and really cool guy, I have a ton of respect for the person he is.
14:25 Calling Nazi Germany "capitalist" misses the mark quite a bit. It wasn't a command economy like the Soviet Union under Stalin, but it was closer to that than free market capitalism. Fascists were big fans of extreme State Capitalism where the state had a tight grip on "key areas" of the economy through state owned companies and heavy involvement in private ones. Basically all large companies were deeply tied to the NSDAP upper echelons and many were out right state owned like Reichswerke Hermann Göring. In Japan the Zaibatsu were less companies and more institutions. Calling them companies would be like calling medieval lords "businessmen". They were as much part of the gov't as the PM.
First guy, is Eli and he is the MAIN host - he and his son are awesome and do great awareness for autism and PTSD. Donut Operator is the one on the left, he's got some great cop footage videos. I love this podcast and their new app Pepperbox that all their content is on now, it seems all their new stuff comes out on Saturdays (Unsubscribe, Nick's stuff on either of his channels, etc) - it almost feels like a Saturday morning cartoon vibe when they all put something up on the same day.
and this is just a wholesome group of friends. I would LOVE to see you on there! Possibly with some Range Day footage to leave with since they have some historical pieces. :)
Also, they drink a LOT on every podcast, but they have some that do not drink on the show also - so don't think you have to consume alcohol to be on their podcast. They had the Sniper Grandpa gamer on there recently.
Grave of the Fireflies by Ghibli is about a couple kids displaced by the fire bombings of Tokyo. It's pretty brutal for a Studop Ghibli film.

Only saw it once, it was both great but heartbreaking, I cannot bring myself to watch it again, my heart cannot take it and I saw it around 20+ years ago.
There was a guy in one of my college history classes said our dropping the atomic bomb was no different than the Holocaust. The professor spent the next 20-30 minutes ripping that guy a new asshole.
Just found your channel and I love your points of nuance. History is a fascinating subject, as every society has history and recants it throughout time. It’s import to list everyone’s version of history to find the hard truth and facts and I loved your analysis of this video! I would love to see you on their show!
Mr. Terry, you should react to Brandon Herrera testing the JFK assassination bullet theory where he simulates the assassination to compare the bullet he tested with the bullet that was found during the investigation of the assassination. There is a bit of fake gore, though.
Oh 1:02 that's Eli. He was in the spearhead in Afghanistan. Works with black rifle and is the co founder of unsub. He is like the sweetest man but also badass enough to go through a firefight a day for 3 months straight.
He was there for 16 months and has a purple heart(or as Eli calls it, "a medal for being bad at my job" lol) They probably had more engagement than most in the first phase of the invasion of Iraq
One of the stupids I've heard from my sister is that "We only dropped the bomb to scare the russians". This was 15 years ago - when I asked her what the estimates for US casualties were she had no clue, when I asked about the estimates of Japanese deaths she had no clue. I went "So it wasn't about the estimated 2 million injured and 500,000 dead - estimates that were admitted to have been doctored and reduced after the war - or the estimated 7-15 million Japanese dead, instead it was to just scare the russians?"
I mean... she's not entirely wrong though. Calling it stupid just sounds unnecessarily mean and pretentious. The US was gearing up for the Cold War by this point and was trying to set up chess pieces ahead of time to position themselves well against the USSR. In a way, she isn't wrong, because the firebombing of Japan didn't necessarily scare anyone outside of the people being bombed. The nuclear weapon was a geopolitical statement as much as it was a tactical weapon.
@@Amorphous_Sand I came here to basically the same thing lol. The US didnt want a long and protracted invasion AND we wanted to keep the russians from claiming any more territory so we needed a way to force a quick surrender.
Left is Donut Operator - he was Navy and dropped from BUDs he was in the same class as Mr Ballen. Then there's Brandon. Then there's Fat Electrician. Then it's Eli Doubletap. Eli is a combat vet who was awarded the enemy marksmanship award(purple heart) and is an audio video guru. Edit to add: Donut has 4.94 million subs. Brandon is a military brat, not military but was born into it.
Unsubscribe podcast is with donut operator and eli double tap. Its always a great show you should check them out. Donut opeator was in the navy for 6 years and eli was in the army in iraq and has a purple heart.
3:45 Sabaton made a really good song about that. It's called "Hearts of Iron" and is specifically about the evacuation of 250k people from Berlin by Walter Wenck's forces.
A word of warning to any potentially new Unsubscribe viewers: This podcast is not for the feint of heart. The boys can get real dark real quick amidst a conversation. That being said, its the only thing that gets me belly laughing anymore. Great dudes. EDIT: Brandon Herrera lost a congressional seat race 2 weeks ago to Tony Gonzalez by less than a 51/49 percent split. I think it was within ~1000 votes; and if I'm not mistaken (I could be. Single source), they are doing a recount. EDIT 2: Donut Operator has more subscribers than the other 3 combined. Rough math said 10k shy.
They all take turns dominating the conversation, Eli is normally the one who drives the podcast. Brandon doesnt have any military experience other then being an army brat and living by fort bragg his entire life until moving to Texas. Eli and Donut are both vets
"I can't talk about [historical fact of well documented war crimes......on TH-cam because they are going to demonetize me]" How is this not censorship again?
The only thing I was taught about Russia with the start of WWII was Germany and USSR had an agreement to not attack each other. I had no idea USSR also invaded Poland
Not only that but Stalin tried to join the Axis alliance. Russia only ended up on the right side of history because Hitler had already decided to invade Russia and ignored Stalin's request.
One key point Nick started to make regarding the victors writing history. It isnt always true. A lot of nonsense came out of writings by the losers. German generals wrote tons of memoirs that were basically a padded resume for positions in the West German military. They downplayed their mistakes and equipment failures. Basically, all of them made the excuse "we were the best but were overwhelmed by superior numbers".
These guys have a MASSIVE range of guests on their podcast. I would LOVEEEE an episode with you and Fat electrician just nerding out over history for two hours. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reach out and see if they’ll have you on ❤️❤️❤️❤️
21:15 They still do that in even more modern times. After the American Civil War, the Yankees tried to erase southern history, when I was in school, my history teacher tried to teach me that the first British colony was Plymouth (located in Massachusetts, a Union state), when the actual first colony was Jamestown (Located in Virginia, a Confederate state).
Unsubscribed is a podcast with a rotating cast of hosts, allowing guests at the table. Eli Doubletap is the keystone, at the far right side of the table. This episode has (l-r) Donut Operator, Brandon Herrera, and The Fat Electrician. There are other hosts and guests that show up in other episodes. The podcast runs more than one hour, the longest at this time is over 4 hours.
4:50 Where I live (Poland, more specifically Silesia) older people who lived back then were saying that advancing Soviet forces were worse than 5 years of Nazi occupation
I will PAY to help get you to Texas and on the podcast, dude! You would be a GREAT episode to watch with all your perspective and knowledge. Be sure to take that helmet too 😂
8:05 Was looking at their choice of drink before u said that. They have got to have the weirdest mix of drinks possible: Busch light, the woodmen's beer of choice along with White Claw, the college girl's drink of choice.
Honestly I'm glad Nic grew as fast as he did. It didn't have the time to change who he is, and I love it. He's just both unapologetic himself and American.
I've always found it weird we assign a weird morality to nuclear weapons over conventional weapons. Death is death. Whether by moab, thermobaric, or nuclear. Not to mention is pretty clear the Atomic bombs ended ww2.
I was fortunate to work a job that allowed me to hear some of these people’s stories. Now that you raise the question on which way the Polish people ran, from what I remember of their stores, and I’ve only come across a hand full, most of them ran west. It seemed to be a who’s the lesser of two evils situation while trying to avoid the lesser of the two to compound things. Fled to Italy, then when Italy flipped they fled to the US. That’s like three out of the five I’ve met. The others I can’t really remember their story.
First off, please keep reacting to these podcast clips. The whole podcast is a bit much but the clips are amazing. Second, if Nick invited you to join a podcast I will watch the entire thing and not just the clips of it. Third, I think Nick is either going or planning on going to go back to school to become a history teacher, but that last one might be my brain making stuff up because I got it from TH-cam comments and not him.
Because I haven’t seen this explained much in the comments, (as other people have stated) the guy on the right is Eli, aka “Eli DoubleTap”, and the guy on the left is Cody , aka “Donut Operator”. I know a lot of people have said Eli is the founder of the Unsubscribe Podcast, and he’s been in all but 1 episode (to my knowledge). But the podcast was started by Eli, Cody, and another person named Kyle, aka “Baddie” or “Baddie Streams”. At some point Cody, and later on Baddie, stepped away from the podcast (I don’t believe because of anything bad between the members). After Baddie left, Donut came back. And shortly after that, Nick and Brandon also officially became hosts of the podcast. They all aren’t always on the podcasts (their reasoning is that having 4 hosts with 1-2 guests can be too many people on a podcast at times, but there are still cases of the 4 of them being on with a guest). And they’ve had lots of different guests on, like Grandpa Gaming, AngryCops, Niko Ortiz, Oompaville, and even Kallmekris. Not a lot of their episodes talk about history but Nick (or Eli about Nick’s videos) especially bring up history in a lot of the episodes he’s in.
If I remember correctly in one video I watched about the fire bombing of Japan. One fire bombing of Tokyo the temperature from the fire the asphalt was melting.
I’ve been to the ground zero museum in Nagasaki in 2009 when my submarine pulled into Sasebo…they had a timeline in one area claiming that the attack on Pearl Harbor was in retaliation to the attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Who drives depends on the discussion. Eli is the only one who is always there. Cody is usually the quietest. In this case they got Nick wound up and lubricated and it was on. Always amusing when it happens.
You mentioned Dan Carlin at the end. You should definitely check out his series called Ghosts of the Ostfront. It goes really into depth about the atrocities you spoke about from the Soviet side in Germany, but also the German atrocities as well.
I was in about every history class I could be in HS, and we definitely hit all these topics. Not deep, but we were teenagers. The fact I cared about history at all was a miracle. Most just learn what they need to pass the tests. They don't care.
Im late seeing this video but you should definitely get down to Texas and do this podacast! They drink during, but would never make ot compulsory for you. The guys are so funny and such a great group!
So for context, all 4 of them are hosts and while Nic does definitely lead like 40% of the Podcast, they all definitely have their moments. All the way left is Cody AKA Donut Operator. He runs a police breakdown channel and breaks down police shootings, most of them praising police but when its clear they did bad he does point out that they did bad. He has almost 5 Million subs at time of writing. He comes from a SWAT and Navy background, attempted but didnt pass BUDS (Seal training). People who watch this channel already know Brandon and Nic but to be clear, Brandon is NOT prior military. He is an army brat and grew up around the military but never actually joined himself. Not that its a bad thing of course, but to specify. All the way at the right is Eli Doubletapp. He is the main Host of Unsub but also streams on twitch and occasionally does YT vids, off the top of my head he did a massive breakdown of the Metal Gear Lore on his channel. Unsub is a variety channel from Military stories to History to Nerd stuff like Gaming to Motivation and buisness, they do a lot. They are HEAVILY based around Motivation and adequately helping people to rise together. Eli is Autistic, all 3 of the others have said a few times they suspect it but i dont know if any of them are diagnosed, but Eli is absolutely a Diagnosed Autistic man. They raise a fuck ton of money for charity, most recently i think 50 Grand for a couple different Autism Charities. Thats the best comprehensive breakdown i can give of Unsubscribe. Quick edit: Forgot to mention that Eli is the oldest of the podcast, in his 40s I believe, and is a combat Veteran and purple Heart recipient who fought in Iraq during the Surge. He got into dozens of Gunfights (around 50 if my brain serves right) and did get hit by a ricochet bullet in the thigh for his purple Heart.
A cool quote that I completely made up and want to be in a movie, about Imp Japan getting shit on, "Amaterasu gave our enemy some of her power to use against her own people. Maybe it is a punishment." Why? Because since the Emperor was "The son of the Sun God." It would make a whole lotta sense.
Further clarification. Donut (Cody) is a navy bet. He went through BUDS. Eli is a combat vet and has a purple heart. The only person at that table that's not a vet is Brandon, the channel joke is he is and honorary vet and and honorary Medal of Honor recipient. That stems from an encounter where a medal of honor recipient put his medal around Brandon's neck as a joke.
Having graduated high school some odd years ago, none of my teachers really covered the Communist side of WWII, it's was heavily focused on what the Nazi's did and where we were during specific battles and events. We also pretty much didn't cover Japan's involvement aside from Pearl Harbor and the nukes, I never even heard of Wake Island until I started watching youtube channels like The Fat Electrician recently that covered such important parts of the war. I had a Polish substitute teacher for history class who grew up behind the Iron Curtain, and she would tell us what it was like growing up under Communism and why her family escaped to the US. She later got into an argument with one of the girls in my class over the advantages of Communism, and because discusssing personal politics is not allowed in our school, we didn't see her again after that. Only had her a handfull of times in class but she was one of my favorite subs because she could speak from personal experience and it was completely understandable why she was so biased against Communism. The other example of anti-Communist sentiment I encountered was a exchange student who's family fled Cuba under Communism.
The Nazis and the Soviets were two sides of the same coin; both are incredibly authoritarian. Left and right don't even matter when you're that far up the authoritarian Y axis, it's all horrible for anyone interested in living a peaceful life of liberty. Communism, fascism, might as well be the same damn thing as far as I'm concerned. Just different flavors of tyranny.

Oh Unsubscribe is hilarious, also informative and sometimes very emotional and heart warming, namely Eli's pre show talks to the fans about charity work and money raised for charity. Damn well brings tears to my eyes every time Eli does those, he is so humble and always puts the praise on the fans and others and even speaks of veterans in need and never makes it about himself.
I guess what Nic says kind of downplays the effect of suddenly having another front to fight, but he's really angry at the people who actively rally against America and what they did as if it was nothing. Absurdist points aside, thanks for the video recommendation!
I please for the love of god, go on Unsubscribe. I watch every episode and I just found you - I would absolutely love a 3hr podcast over ww2 lmao Also, yes, Brandon Herrera does have a military background. He's a 2 time MoH recipient as well as a LTC in the us army

My highschool history teacher believed very much in shock value to make us take the class more seriously. He showed us a lot of photos of Japanese POW camps when we went over WWII, and photos of Buddhist settings themselves on fire when we went over Vietnam.
To answer your question about whether or not other people were taught about the USSR's invasion of Poland...I don't remember learning about it. I can't say for certain that it outright *wasn't* taught but at the very least if it was, it was not focused on nearly as much as Germany's and Japan's actions in the war. The only thing I remember learning about the USSR in WW2 was Germany's push and the scorched earth policy, they had the highest casualty rate, and I think I remember their war against Finland was briefly mentioned.
The best unsubscribed episode I ever watched was Niko, Nic and Eli. They did a 3-hour podcast, stopped, got something to eat and something to "drink". And then decided to come back and do another one, three sheets to the wind, and go another 3-hours.

Thank YOU!
:-)
You would like the Unsubscribe episode with "Grandpa gamer".
Second that. Lots of history on that episode plus they are little more tame.
@@johnhanna4403 They CAN be tame, it depends on the guest really. When they have a Vet or a friend on...Mass quantities of alcohol are consumed and the more rowdy they get. You can tell how Drunk Eli is by how loud it laugh gets too.
Mr. Terry you definitely need to watch the Grandpa Gamer one!
@@johnhanna4403 for real
You put the thought of you on this podcast into my mind now, and while it’s probably too unhinged for you, I’d still love to see you on there!
GrndpaGaming came on the unsub podcast, so unhinged yes but not too unhinged.
Wow, this is a full circle for me. I found Nick through Mr Terry, and Unsubscribe through Nick.
Me too. Thanks Mr Terry
@@drizzd1mine too, and then we had a military history class which really went into detail about all the big wars in history
To answer the question at 25:00
I think it’s most fair to say that Eli is the host and that there are times when Nic steps back and lets others really have a convo. But when communism comes up or something else that he is passionate about, no matter the guests, Nic becomes the center of the podcast until someone can piss him off enough with communism that the show goes away from history.
It’s like they have a super entertaining specials that becomes the point person when his field of study is being discussed.
They all have their contributions. Nic just generally is the most animated of them, so when he gets wound up, he just goes.
Winners might get to write the history, but losers will always try to rewrite it to give themselves a more favorable light.
If you enjoy these guys, definitely worth watching the pod. Just the boys being boys and having a good time
There was a guy in one of my college history classes said our dropping the atomic bomb was no different than the Holocaust. The professor spent the next 20-30 minutes ripping that guy a new asshole.
8:10 They literally open the Pod with cracking a beer into the mic.
Quick correction; it was Iraq not Afghanistan (pretty sure he only deployed to Iraq)
I went "So it wasn't about the estimated 2 million injured and 500,000 dead - estimates that were admitted to have been doctored and reduced after the war - or the estimated 7-15 million Japanese dead, instead it was to just scare the russians?"
scareing the Russians was a positive side effect, but you're right it wasn't the main reason we dropped the bombs
I mean... she's not entirely wrong though.
So you were a dick to your sister for no reason? Lmao that is nothing to brag about
@@Amorphous_SandNo, she is wrong. Because she said "only to scare the Russians". That's straight up false.
What are you talking about Brandon has 4 Medals of Honor Show him some respect
@@varnasblade You forget the 6 Purple Hearts and 12 DSCs

Unsubscribe podcast is with donut operator and eli double tap. Its always a great show you should check them out. Donut opeator was in the navy for 6 years and eli was in the army in iraq and has a purple heart.
I’ve listened to every episode of unsubscribe, and I really enjoy your input and views on their conversations. I hope they can get you on!
3:45 Sabaton made a really good song about that. It's called "Hearts of Iron" and is specifically about the evacuation of 250k people from Berlin by Walter Wenck's forces.
A word of warning to any potentially new Unsubscribe viewers:
This podcast is not for the feint of heart.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 well done best way to describe the boys lol love the whole gang. Every week is a belly buster 😂
He lost by 400.
I swear I’ll watch anything with the unsub guys. And you sir was worth every minute great video
YES please come on the unsub podcast would love to see you there
They all take turns dominating the conversation, Eli is normally the one who drives the podcast. Brandon doesnt have any military experience other then being an army brat and living by fort bragg his entire life until moving to Texas. Eli and Donut are both vets
Once you go down the rabbit hole of this podcast, you never come back. They kill me😂
"I can't talk about [historical fact of well documented war crimes......on TH-cam because they are going to demonetize me]" How is this not censorship again?
Yup. TH-cam is pretty much a tyrant.
It sucks, but nothing we can do about it
technically not stopping you from talking about, just stopping you from getting paid to talk about it
The only thing I was taught about Russia with the start of WWII was Germany and USSR had an agreement to not attack each other.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reach out and see if they’ll have you on ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You should definitely check out nicks rant of communism from the unsubscribe podcast. True nick fashion rant
We need you on the podcast Mr terry
You, absolutely, want to check out recent episodes of Unsubscribe Podcast with King Trout, who also has a history related channel.
Trout is awesome...but holy carp...the new ads Trout and Eli do are freaking gold.
Brandon was running for Congress when this was filmed. That is yelled about being pointed at.
4:50 Where I live (Poland, more specifically Silesia) older people who lived back then were saying that advancing Soviet forces were worse than 5 years of Nazi occupation
I absolutely want to see you do more unsubscribe podcast reactions! I love that channel, and I love your channel! It is the best of both worlds!
You should react to the other 1 about Nic talking about how the US actually won the Vietnam war
Left - Donut Operator - Cody , Center Left AK Guy - Brandon Herrera, Center Right Fat Electrician Nick, Right: Eli Doublefat
All these guys on this podcast are great it covers anything from gaming to history its awesome
Yes Brandon does have a military background. He actually recieved the Medal of Honor in 08’ whilst fighting in Afghanistan
17:30 Well it is definitely talk about it and taught here in Latvia.
Mr. Terry, Vlogging through History, and Nick on the podcast would the greatest episode ever!
Each show has its own "lead" person. Lot of fun to watch/listen to.also I think you would be a good guest on the show.
Well, never heard of your channel before, but I’m a subscriber now 😊
From Czechia and I think we did learn it in school about Soviets invading Poland
Would love to see more unsub reactions! But it's rare they talk about history stuff that you'd be about to react to.
I think the fact that Noam Chomsky existed as an actual prominent professor the modern “winners write the history” doesn’t hold up anymore.
Hell yeah, I'd love to see you with the guys on the unsubscribe podcast.
Yep one is dog shit flavor, the other is horse shit flavor, either way it is still a stinking pile of shit.
There are a couple of good instances of Nic discussing history with AngryCops (Drill Sargent and LEO Richard Hy), one being how the US actually won the Vietnam War.
Re: Winners write the history, there is always multiple views at an accident with witnesses it is just normal
They have to have you on. It would be hilarious.
YESSSSS UNSUB REACTIONS YESSSSSS
Potential history has a nice video on the USSR VS 2 A-Bombs debate around Japan's surrender.
TLDR, his take is that it took Both.
I guess what Nic says kind of downplays the effect of suddenly having another front to fight, but he's really angry at the people who actively rally against America and what they did as if it was nothing. Absurdist points aside, thanks for the video recommendation!
I please for the love of god, go on Unsubscribe. I watch every episode and I just found you - I would absolutely love a 3hr podcast over ww2 lmao
Also, yes, Brandon Herrera does have a military background. He's a 2 time MoH recipient as well as a LTC in the us army
A nice video to go along with this, if you haven't seen it yet, is Potentialhistory's video on why Japan surrendered
I wish all the luck in whatever endeavors you do. Please do not stop teaching. You seem like a person that can help our students see the gravity of these events. I’m sure you have already affected many of young peoples minds.
Watch the Unsubscribe Podcast, it’s fucked up, but they are all real good people.
Right to left is Eli Doubletap, Fat Electrician, Brandon Herrera, and Donut Operator. All have pretty neat channels
If you get a chance to go on the podcast, you 100% should. Eli and Cody are just as awesome as Nick and Brandon.
“Why isn’t Cody answering my calls?” Lmao
i loved history as a kid, and i didn't learn of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact and the USSR's invasion of Poland until i played Hearts of Iron 4.
The main thing you need to remember about this podcast: these guys are drinking the WHOLE time while they’re doing this.
The best unsubscribed episode I ever watched was Niko, Nic and Eli. They did a 3-hour podcast, stopped, got something to eat and something to "drink". And then decided to come back and do another one, three sheets to the wind, and go another 3-hours.
From left to right
