If you’re like me, someone who appreciates and loves “The Warriors,” you know in 2005, Rockstar created a video game based on the cult classic and gave a backstory to how the gang was formed. Myself and others believe this needs to be remade as a prequel. No one can hold a candle to the originators but I wanted to pay homage and give them their flowers. Great movie, but what made me think that Cyrus' plan was stupid. Was that even if the gangs did unite and out numbered the cops. How long would it be before they called in reinforcements from neighboring counties, or get the military on the phone to stop the gang's takeover?

There were 9 members of each gang at the meeting but the gangs they represent are a lot larger than that. The amount of members is likely to vary substantially but if we assume a mean average of 100 members each gang, 200 gangs would bring us to 20,000. Then, like Cyrus said, if you account for associates on the fringe of the gang like girlfriends or siblings as well as all the kids willing to join the various gang you end up with 2 or 3 times that.

Cyrus’s speech was actually filmed in Riverside Park. I believe the area where all the gang members gather is a children’s playground. As of 2021, the area was still there. If I remember correctly they didn’t have enough in the budget to film at Van Cortlandt Park or the Bronx for that matter. But the Warriors movie did film the football scene at Van Cortlandt Park.

Everyone wanted to see more of Cleon. But it was a necessary tragedy, otherwise this would be just another movie.
The game gives you perfect insight into his character and impact on the warriors. If I'm not mistaken his og voice actor came back to voice him for it

They lose sight that you wouldnt have to fight in the name of a government or institution your whole life in the 1st place just for healthcare, shelter, clean food, water etc. If the whole lot of us stop voluntarily fighting these senseless gang wars, engaging in distraction in its various forms, and instead work to build together, we could work to make those things affordable/free for everyone to enjoy, not just for wealthy people who stole it via exploitation. For us to not have to slave our whole human lives away, scrape by to "buy" what was already ours. These governments did not invent the Earth. They did not invent water and the ability to grow food (they simply created a systemic slave class, while the rest of us get to enjoy the fruits of slave labor. Think of all the children in 3rd world countries making our clothing, our phones, etc)
The truth is the collective US is what makes modern civilization possible. Once you open your mind and think bigger you will realize we have all been continually sold one of the most ancient lies in human history. That you have to "buy" a liveable life from other people who it never belonged to in the 1st place. And every time these kind of ideals are brought up in human history (not just 1 country, 1 guy, THINK BIGGER) these people are killed. Why? Fear. Greed. The thrist for personal power. There were 9 members of each gang at the meeting but the gangs they represent are a lot larger than that. The amount of members is likely to vary substantially but if we assume a mean average of 100 members each gang, 200 gangs would bring us to 20,000. Then, like Cyrus said, if you account for associates on the fringe of the gang like girlfriends or siblings as well as all the kids willing to join the various gang you end up with 2 or 3 times that.
