    You are fabulous!
I am glad to see you put it in the back. I have been flattening the very end like you. Would for riveting and attaching them to the top so it looks neater but if it’s ok for you on the back then it is ok for me!
I think using 18ct solder would knock the hallmark down in the UK.

❤❤🎉🎉that was f**king beautifully done!!! I am so jealous of how freaking easy it looks when y'all so this shit but when I try it I've wasted a shit ton of expensive friggin solder and wire and have hours of clean up just so I can try it again! I think soldering hates me more than I hate it!!!😢

Fully qualified welder from the Netherlands here: that was amazing! From an optical and technical vieuwpoint that's 10/10 in my book.
Oh and edit, I suspect your non cleaning (afterwards) approach works since/ when you fully clean all materials and store your flux protected. Oh and don't overheat (carbon), witch you didn't. Solid ace!

@@JewelryArts Am I correct in my assumption that grease, dirt and overheating leads to inperfections? Love to see you at work here, on a tiny scale, it looks alot like welding and you obviously master your technique. All the best to you!

@@PanzerChicken69 There are two kinds of "clean" at work here. Having all your elements already sanded to a 400 finish and without flaws means you won't have any unnecessary clean up after you solder. Your elements not being dirty, using a powerful paste flux, and placing the solder where it won't leave a scar means the solder will melt smoothly and not require sanding and polishing to look good. :) No doubt the principles of soldering in jewelry ( actually brazing, but jewelers call it soldering) and very like welding.

I do enjoy sanding! Your videos are invaluable and hilarious...'effing pristine seam'... But I am new to all of this and self-taught. So have a ways to go before my technique is not all "just get it effing soldered; the mess can be cleaned"...should take a class, huh?

We would be happy to have you in the studio anytime! :) Keep at it, and if I may recommend my soldering book, Soldering Demystified. It will change your life! :)

@@JewelryArts So got your book bc returning to my hometown of NYC to take a class isn't in the cards at the moment. The book is as good as reviews say it is! I got over "TH-camd" in my journey and have a soldering 'technique' of confusion. Starting over with your book to guide me and recommend it to EVERYONE! Cannot wait to meet you in person one day.

@@bkrindy9856 I am so glad you are enjoying it! I wrote it because there is so much confusing and sometimes just plain wrong information out there on soldering. You are very welcome in the studio anytime. :)

Thanks! The video editing is kind of terrible though, all the jumping about is very distracting and makes it hard to follow stuff.
