"I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days... before you have actually left them..." This line hits me so hard every time I heard it. 😭 One of the best line of this show 👏👏🥲
there is a way, its by not being self absorbed, clueless, closeminded, and full of regrets, but have a mindset where you are looking forward to the future, reflect on what you did every day and how you felt, and be generally mindful and perceptive about the people around you and the relationships you keep
Still can't believe they didn't add this line to the compilation. Easily the best Andy line in the whole show and yet so underrated. "When I was in college I used to get WICKED, hammered. my nickname was puke. I would chug a fifth of SoCo sneak into a frat party, polish off a few peoples empties. Some brewskis, some jell-o shots. Do some body-shots, off myself. Pass-out. Wake up the next morning. Boot. Rally. More SoCo. head to class. probably would have gotten expelled if I let it effect my grades but I aced all my courses, they called me Ace. It was totally awesome, got straight Bs. They called me Buzz."
7:10 I just realized Andy said that he walked out of “Walter Bernard Hall”. No wonder he went to any Ivy League school lol, his dad donated so much money to the school so Andy could attend lol 😮
The answer to that, is every day is a good day! It’s only good days for most people when they get to where they want to be at, then those old days were good, not bad.
Sometimes I remember that the ‘good old days’ memories I have took place during times when I was struggling massively emotionally and otherwise. Just try to reconsider how you’re feeling.
I've never noticed until now that when Andy is interviewing Dwight, he asks him who Cornell's 8th President is then precedes to tell him who the 7th President was. Lol
10:05 just realizing now that this version of Andy could easily have been played by Will Arnett from Arrested Development. I could totally see GOB Bluth having the exact same expressions and mannerisms
Andy often speaking about being drunk at Cornell just makes me feel sorry for him. Andy was a great addition to the cast for a few reasons. Ed Helms is a great comedic Actor🩷
One of the most realistic character arcs in any show ever, shows conflict, confusion, character development, loss of character development and the overall sense of loss that many people feel in the "real world".. While Andy's character became extremely obnoxious in seasons 8 and 9, he honestly feels more real than any other character in the show.. well done Ed Helms and the writers.
3:55 Did Dwight ask him "What's the capitol of Maine?" and Andy responded "Montpelier, Vermont" ? The Capitol of Maine is Augusta.. Maybe I missed the joke.
Ivy Leaguers will never ever pass up an opportunity to tell you they went to an Ivy League institution. What’s even funnier is that he didn’t even go to Harvard, Yale, or Princeton.

13:03 No, it’s the anthem from Third Rock from the Sun, the one they sing at the end of the final episode. Except this version doesn’t have anything about spaceships, for some reason.
A year after the series ended, Ed Helms gave the commencement speech at Cornell University. It could be said that Ed Helms and his character Andrew Bernard made one of the most important universities in the world famous.
