I think it's less irony and more so the writers compelled to stress that Michael is not a complete monster. As bad as he can be, the character could never survive him being totally evil to a little girl just because she's Toby's.
It bothers me that they never corrected him and told him Metropolis was the city that Superman resides in I feel like at least Dwight would’ve said that lol
Take Your Daughters To Work Day was the very 1st episode in which I actually liked Michael. When he showed the video of him as a little boy saying he wanted 100 kids so he could have a 100 people to like him. I started to love him when I realized how emotionally needy he was❤️
I know it's supposed to be him being mean to kids/nice to the camera but I can't help but think it's so cute 😭 like he's the tough grandpa okay, that's his role.
A compilation video of Michael talking about his family and childhood would be great but sad. Could have the video of him from the kid show in season 2.
@b3pahunter546 would probably watch it. Kind of surprised they didn't have any of his family members appear as minor characters on the show. Only one I remember is his nephew worked as an intern in season 7.

I love the moment with Michael and Jim where he’s kind of mentoring him. It makes me think that Michael knows exactly what he’s doing even when it seems like he’s an idiot. Stanley was right. He is a secret genius.
Season 2 is one my all time favorites of any show. It would have a different feel if binged in modern times, but back then when it was new and the whole look, tone and feel is so good. Something that was slowly lost every season after. 3 was close.
I think the young man at 8:00(4 toes) and 8:20 is the same kid who was Charlie Day’s “son” in an episode of Always Sunny… Got the kid drunk, lol. Old episode.
I love the irony of Toby's daughter being Michael's favourite child😂
He feels bad for her... I mean, look at her dad!

Michael was a child of divorce, so he sympathizes with the daughter and hates the divorcee father, Toby.

how have i never heard the line "my replacement bones are acting up today" that's so incredible
I think that's a deleted scene that was added back for the superfan episodes.
Does it ever bother anyone that they never ever made a thanksgiving episode
No
i wouldve loved too see how they decorate the office for that and how badly they can mess up a turkey

Michael is easily the cringiest but most loveable character ever.
He's selfish, immature, spiteful and did not deserve a happy ending. Still cringy tho.
