In our 2018 Outback we put the forward facing child car seat in the centre rear spot and the rear facing baby bucket on passenger side rear. It does take a bit more effort to do up the belts. But does allow easy use of the rear passenger seat behind the driver.

I purchased the 2020 Onyx edition Outback and I love it. Just got a new software update for the Outback that now takes Apple CarPlay to full screen. I traded in a 2015 Subaru Outback limited that had over 108K with no CVT issues. This is the first time I've ever bought the same car model so that should tell you how much I love Subaru. Just really solid, quality vehicles. Love the video. Always top notch quality as well.

I'm an avid mountain biker and gravel cyclist . I always take a look at cargo space as to weather I can stand my bike up in the with the front wheel off. The other is if there is enough cargo space for me to comfortable sleep . Preferable next to my bike. It's why I miss my Honda Element . ;))

We bought 2 at the tiring xt level.. people are sleeping on this car. Almost bought a 2020 x5.... It was nicer but no where NEAR 40k nicer... This year's to trim outback has so much practicality, convenience, and luxury . I just couldn't justify spending more.

As nice as the outback is I would be getting an extended warranty, they have average reliability at best and the CVT isn’t known for its durability, but it is amazing Car I just wouldn’t want to keep one long after the warranty expires...They may have high resale value though

Back seats recline on touring model. We love ours. Smooth, quiet ride; solid build; Toyota influence is evident in this cars design and build. Adaptive cruise is sick; just set it and go forever. Lane centering assist is annoying; I had to turn it off. It fights me on curves when I want slightly different line away from traffic in other lane.

I purchased a new Outback , had RAB and many electrical problems from the start. After only a couple of months I had the car in the deanship for repairs twice. The dealer only deleted the PC history, did nothing to fix the problem, and does not supply the needed paperwork to prove I was there. This practice is still going on today.. The service tech brags, "as long as I work here, no one will ever qualify for Lemon Law protection " Problems got MUCH worse. In for repair 10 + times, towed in 4 times. After contacting Subaru customers support, they said because the dealer refused to supply paperwork for your visits, they refused to refund my money for the Lemon they sold me. Car was traded in, because it would not work, still under warranty, still not fixed because they didn't know how to fix it. Lost well over $16,000 because Subaru does not stand behind their cars, or the customer.

Call their parent company. I dealt with a terrible dealership as well, unable to fix my problem after two attempts but the dealer still wanted to charge for the repair and claim it was fixed. Contact subaru of America next time and they'll help you.

What a great vehicle, improved in every single way, the only thing that it needs is a panoramic sunroof, I know Subaru sells a ton of these just the way they are but that would make it the perfect car, hell back in 2010 the Forester came with not a panoramic but a larger than normal sunroof the extended into the rear passenger cabin, why can’t they do that in 2020??😂

This has been my dream car for living in Oregon since 1997, unfortunately it is too much of a car for me here in Denmark right now. But I see this as a good Pow Wow highway car. Need that room for my beads and camping equipment.. If we get rained out, maybe we could sleep in it also. My husband and I are not terribly tall. 5’10 and 5’10 respectively. We would just have to cuddle closer while we sleep. The mountain line where you are at says you are not in Oregon. Though somewhere close to the cascades, to drive over to ridge to get those eastern Oregon shots.

Buy a CPO, or extended warranty through Subaru, boxer engines are not known for their longevity and Subaru CVTs are not known to be durable, should last at least 100,000 miles virtually problem free but after that it’s a tossup, I’m a mechanic and Subaru enthusiast. JD power has average reliability, Consumer Reports has average reliability as well

Nick Babeaux I’ve owned 3 and they were all solid for 100k, but looking to hold the XT longer. Was planning to get a 3.6 but they’re out with the 20’s. I wonder if a CVT fluid change would help longevity every 60k.

This new Outback is terrible. The quality is crap the driving feel is numb and vague and it’s HUGE compared to the last gen model. That big touchscreen with the HVAC controls integrated in it is awful. There’s going to be so many complaints about that. Standard eyesight and start stop. It even has a hood prop instead of a strut that the last gen had struts. Subaru is cheapening their new cars and charging you more for less features.
