This came up at the perfect time! Started 4 dragon scale babies a couple weeks ago. Hopefully they look as big and healthy as yours in a couple months! ❤

Oooouuuu. I love the alocasia poly, I have that plant and I see 2 corms on top already. I am soooooo looking forward to the day I take the mother poly apart, and get too many corms. I’ll be HAPPY .

Great content! The Amazonica's look really good. As do the rest of your plants!
I'm just starting on my plant journey! I hope to have an upstairs oasis like yours someday.
How do you track the care of all of your plants? I'm brand new. Some people say don't use apps for watering, while others swear by it. Do you use anything to help you?

Thank you sm, best of luck to you on your collecting journey as well :) I just learn as much as I can about the type of plant it is and it's needs, takes awhile to keep them all straight but then I just use the finger touch to decide when to water, it's all intuition and knowledge, no schedule for me haha

Loved this. Subscribed! Another small plant TH-camr here :)) I have a ton of corms growing at the moment. At what point do you plan on transferring the biggest ones to soil or whatever substrate you use?

Oh hayyyyy girl :) subbed back, looking forward to checking out your content :) I love corms!! This is my first time propagating them so I'm thinking I'll wait til they have 2-3 leaves each before repotting? I want to make sure the root system is super strong because I'll be really sad if I kill any 🤣

@@thesoftlifeofsophie heyyy :) thank you girl! And totally, I will probably do the same! I’m also so afraid of killing my alocasias, they’re so sensitive 😭😭 but omg I can’t wait to see the corms sprout leaves!!

Lol, good yours took off. Mine just sprouted then I think hibernated.
Guess thats another cute way to call it as well lol. I believe it’s really pronounced as Amazon-neeh-kah. But each to their own. 😅🙈

Hi am new to growing from corms .I have got them on a seedling mat and grow lights . Can anyone tell me how long I keep the mat on per day /night ? Thank u

Hi :) I didn’t use a heating mat with mine, just a grow light. But I believe the heating mat should stay on 24/7 to keep the temp consistent until they’ve sprouted, or at least during the overnight hours if your daytime temps are warm, depends on your environment. My apt stays 24+ consistently so I didn’t need one. My grow lights I kept on for 12 hours per day, then moved them to an east window once they had leaves :) just my two cents. Happy growing xx
