Seeing a Wanzer in a Gundam channel is already plenty difference enough, what I'd like to know is if the parts can be swapped out to build the ultimate Wanzer which is a staple of the franchise, i.e. do the arms, legs, head come off so we can attach another Wanzer's bit to the one Wanzer and give it a repaint so it doesn't look like a scrapyard wanzer?
Ah good ol' Front Mission. Bringing Wanzers and the horrors of disembodied brain CPU's to the public before season 2 of Iron Blooded Orphans. I love both series. XD By the way Kakarot, would you ever look at Front Mission lore or Gaia Gear sometime perhaps?
I have one of the desert versions, and was able to get my hands on some of the vol 1 of the model kits, and pre-ordered the second set. Front Mission is one of those franchises that deserves more love!
Really digging the review format; hoping for more FM kits in the future. The Structure Arts kits are really simple, amazingly articulated but they do need a full paintjob to make them look good.
Good review. Building my display case from Ikea now, the first thing I'll put in is the gerbera tetra figure you mentioned recently! (I bought from hlj)
ended up getting 2, the first was missing a section of its leg, called it in, and a few weeks later i got the complete figure and one that can be set as "battle damaged" neat.
There are only a handful of games available to us Westerners and the IP owner is best described as an IP A-Hole. After FM4 (and the whole story of FM requires a room with three cork boards, lots of thread and pins, and a lot of pictures and newspaper clippings so to speak and the translators rightly assumed that it would be too much for a new person to handle and dubbed a lot of it out), any and all future TRPGs are Japan-only and outside of a remake of the original Front Mission (1st), we've only got FM3 and FM4 as TRPGs. Also, the fandom is VERY a-holish with anything NOT FM Alternative or the TRPGs, and the only way that Square can hold onto the publishing license is via spinoff games... and the fans always riot whenever those get out.
The same size as the GM Custom...Zenith is 5.8 m while the GM is 19 m. So the Zenith here is would be a scale in the 1/30 or so range? I'm just imagining it in a tiny 1/144 size...
You can blame the IP owner for that, I'm afraid. The more I hear about the guy, _oh boy_ the more I hate the guy. FM is dead because the guy would rather burn his own IP to the ground than make it easier to enter (so to speak) and have more than just one overarching story to it.
Now I know they make these I really want to buy frost wanzer if they have one as they really stuck to me when I watch the og front mission game playthrough
Wanderarts wanzers are super cool! I was like wary of them at first because of SE’s reputation but they’re just totes cool. Their Mecha toys look really good. Please don’t pass them up guys
Respectfully, I think it looks like a Zenith. Front Mission has been around since the mid-nineties and predates many of those designs by a matter of years.
@@DamplyDoo actually the lore drop from those was nice, but it'd been better if it emulated actual internet system that let you browse and order products from manufacturers, surf into the seedy side of the net to get info and access to hidden features and items and such but I do understand how one can preceive as being painful especially with having to remember passwords or write them down and having to constantly back and forth til you find what you were looking for...
Games like Left Alive and Evolved are the only way for Square to keep the franchise alive, because the IP owner is, well, best described as an IP dick. I'm serious. He didn't like how the translations were going (i.e. to make them more accessible) and thus banned TRPGs from coming out of Japan. _Forever_ as it seems. The only lone exception is 1st and even then it was just a DS-ified version of a PS1 version of the original. Hence why Square is doing all these non-TRPG spinoffs, and the IP owner has a very significant say in those too (the story of how the Evolved dev-team got its money _ganked_ mid-development because this guy is starting to see the light, so to speak).
So I tried something a bit different with the format for this review.

I really need to find a FM OST! >_

Good to see some Front Mission love! It's a pretty expensive model, but damn, it really looks amazing. I may end up getting it.
Nice use of the OST from the first game in the video. Especially that transition to the load out menu music when you pulled out the accessories.

Just finished the O.C.U campaign last night. Have a all new appreciation of the Zenith. Great review.
@0:51 hi kakarot looking sharp
I know nothing from this franchise except that I read the Dog Life and Dog style manga as I teenager and I loved it. Glad to have a reminder of it

OH MY GOD FRONT MISSION!
AND IT'S ZENITH!

I got myself a secondhand urban camo version.
This is probably one of my priciest purchase but i don't regret this.
Hi, the new Front Mission Structure Arts model kit are also awesome :D
Man I wish that Front Mission was not a dead series😔

It looks like an improved Tau battlesuit
I grew up playing front mission 4 . The wanzer still have similarity, but i dont recognize the weapon this wanzer used at all..
Looks fairly good. I'll get some at some point.
Still remember the zenith from Front Mission 3...and the op as f--k skill on it. (melee weapon with the beam cannon)
Now I know they make these I really want to buy frost wanzer if they have one as they really stuck to me when I watch the og front mission game playthrough
Is...this a tieren
Love that these things were made, even if they are pricy.
Loved the review and the Wanzer. More, please!
Hey, @Kakarot197: what game by Square Enix does the figure come from...? I'd like to watch a game-playthrough of the game...
From the Front Mission series
Question which army of any Gundam would win like what would happens if Zeon want to war against zaft ? Or the Titans vs A lows ?
OZ betrays and kills them all, looses to random teens....
@@01taran what if all of them know that gang up on oz ?

Kinda looks like tieren from gundam 00.. Right?
It predates that design by about ten years.
I now must ask are you going to or have you ever done any front mission let's plays lol
Why you don't make video stop motion 😁 🎬
0:50 nice face reveal. LUL
I like to see more front misson videos
from front mission 3? nice
Kakarot reviewing something other than Gunpla? IMPOSSIBRU
Zenith wtf..
***Front Mission 3 flashback intensifies***
The first JP game that has the MC & Party go to my home country, The Philippines..
I don't know why I'm surprised that they have "gunpla" for Front Mission mechs. I shouldn't be, but I am.
W A N Z E R
I was like...wait...that name sounds familiar...that design...I know it...Could it be?! I have way too many hours clocked in FM4.
Im new bro i like your videos😊
hola me gustó el video saludo
Look nice
no fist weapons..
Bah... this reminds of my lovely suicide build... dual pile bunkers with rocket launchers.
And the always bulky Zaku 3.
This thing looks like a combination of the following mobile suits
Doven Wolf
Geara Doga
Hyakuren
Io Frame Shiden
Tieren
I was thinking more like the Tieren ground type from 00

@@spyrelle3970 Yeah I know what the Wanzers from Front Mission are, I just think that they share a couple visual similarities with some mobile suits.

Left Alive ruined the franchise, bring back the classic strategy games Square!
The psx game was great but you gotta admit that email/website system they implement is painful

I'm getting knockoff zaku vibes here
It's actually a protagonist Wanzer, along with the Blizzard/Frost line.
awesome mecha!
Now let's build this in Armored Core 6
I'm feelin' some Tieren High Mobility Type B vibes from this kit
yes
Wouldn't be surprised that the Front Mission series influenced the mecha for Gundam 00.
