Yea I think the Lions class is certainly should be top 4 even without Jamos breakout. What is crazy is they have stacked 3 consistent good drafts since Brad Holmes has taken over and the 2024 class has the potential to make it 4.
I feel like the only draft they could’ve done better was 2023. Gibbs was picked way too high for how much he was utilized and jack Campbell didn’t even start this year as a first round ilb, which picking off ball lbs in the first round has gone out of fashion for good reason. Second round was elite though
@ebowden1168 What? They have the best duo of RB's in the NFL. Gibbs balled out and is gonna be even better this year. Jack Campbell is already a leader and is gonna have a huge 2nd year. Lions had the most immediately impactful class of 2023 by far.
I'm kinda disappointed you didn't mention the Packers at all. They got 6 starters out of this class, including both of their tackles in the 4th and 7th round, which is insane. I hope you touch on them in the future, though, keep up the hard work.
@MarchOnRome Zach Tom is ranked as a top 15 tackle in the league by PFF, which includes right and left tackles. So he is easily a top 10 if not top 5 right tackle in the league. Sure, the rest of the players aren't in the top 10 at their positions, but that is still 6 quality starters in 1 draft. No team, other than the Jets, even got that many starters, and they had 4 top 50 picks.
McDuffie, Karlaftis, Chenal, Willams, Cook and Pacheco will (probably) be starters in 2024, Watson and Nazeeh Johnson will have great contributions (Watson already had with that 99 yard pick 6)... Skyy Moore will hopefully still be a good player, I still like him. Only player that was really a miss was Kinnard because he's not on the team anymore. But People have the audacity to say Veach can't draft lmao
Dan Campbell has said that Jameson Williams has made the biggest jump out of anyone on the lions this year. I think this is the year Ben Johnson cuts him loose and gets him the ball a lot. With this being his first season he starts game one I have a lot of hope in him and I think he will deliver.
It’s so insane that 3 of the chiefs 2022 draftees made big plays in the Super Bowl. McDuffie with the deflection Karloftis with the fumble and Chenal with the Fieldgoal block
More like 4/5 depending on judgement. McDuffie's deflections on the 1 on 1 and corner blitz Karlaftis' fumble recovery Chenal's forced that fumble and FG block.
The Ravens are probably up there too. Kyle Hamilton is already a First Team All-Pro. Linderbaum is on his way to becoming a First Team All-Pro and Isaiah Likely has come on strong, to the point that 12 Personnel may be the base for the Ravens.
This is a very cool series. Especially looking back 2 years. I like giving players 3 years to prove they are something but for a healthy player without extenuating circumstances 2 years is probably enough. I'm a lions fan and I look at guys like iffy melifanwu and Derrick Barnes who struggled the first 2 years but then took a huge leap year 3 but both guys were switching to a new position in the NFL. Then this is Jameson Williams 3rd year. Between the injury recovery and suspension it's fair to give 3 years
The packers are definitely one of the best draft class we draft to really good tackles, 2 good receivers, quay walker has been really good, and kingley has been a solid backup linebacker, and not to mention Devonte Wyatt
He got benched due to being injured and it was hindering his tackling ability. Riq allowed the fewest passing rating in man coverage when targeted in the ENTIRE LEAGUE AT 8.2, which is 3x better than second place
just want to note as a dallas fan 2024 is definitely NOT our year. 9-8 at best, but wouldn't be surprised if it blows up in our face. between a brutal schedule, and the media it could go south, fast. however, i still think this draft will be great for our future, and maybe with a different qb, and the texans oc (fingers crossed) we'll have a shot in 4-5 years.
ngl watching games bland was actually better his rookie year. he was a sticky db guys couldn't get open on. i truly believe he got too hungry for ints and i hope he can get back to being a guy no one gets open on vs a guy that can get burned for 100+ yrds a game.

@@christiansolis8032 every player is bruised or injured at some point in the season and he wasn’t playing well so he got benched because he couldn’t tackle and wasn’t a strong zone corner
