Tube signal box and operator to retire- BBC London

- Frank Kelly has been a signal operator for more than five decades on the London Underground. But the signal box he operates will soon be retired as the signals at the station will be fully automated. And after many years of dedicate service, Frank will be retiring alongside it.

So it hasn't changed much since the 1960s.....That's the reason for all the signal failures I'm guessing
