I turn on a holy Kool-Aid video, I hit the like button and I let it run. This one should be no different. This is a prime example of why we need to get rid of the religious tax exemption because we're supposed to have the separation of church and state but the church has been using their influence in politics forever now, so I say it's time for them to start paying up they've clearly shown that they don't agree with that rule.
I don't have a giant problem with religious tax exemption if the "keeping out of politics" part would actually be enforced. If they had to choose between participating in politics or getting money tax free their choice would be really really easy.
This makes me think of how early Christians tried to turn the crucifixion of Jesus into a win. "That's what he meant to happen. That was the plan all along. Take that Romans!"
The earliest Christians didn't even believe in an Earthly Jesus, only a spiritual Christ in Heaven, so they certainly didn't have any opinion on the crucifiction.
