Omg I used to be a JW, I really don’t think we had the same bibles as in America it seems? Old and new testaments, plus I had a king James, I was allowed to keep that because it says gods name and they love anything saying gods name.
I always thought heaven was for the 144,000 chosen few, and the rest of us would live on earth to teach the resurrected before the judgement day.
In my mind the 144,000 were to replace the fallen angels.

There are so many great minds among the dead, could you not learn myriad languages & cultures, discuss philosophy with Aristotle & Hume, learn advanced science from Einstein & Dobzhansky - even have a part in working side by side with the angels, keeping the universe machine running..?

I used to think that too. But, I've come to realize that some people have a really strong need to believe in something. The education doesn't change that. It saddens me to see highly educated people constantly fall for this. It's really hearbreaking.
@@TheMrblessed The truly sad part about this is; if most well educated people put even a fraction of the scrutiny and thought that they use for other everyday decisions they would easily discover the gaping holes and flaws in religion. I will fully admit that I have not looked into all of the tens of thousands, if not more, religions that have existed throughout human history. That being said the one thing every one I have looked into has in common is their fictional and mythological nature.

I saw kat kerr at this very woo woo church years back and it was the most wild event ive been to for church. People were so excited to hear her "wisdom". She talked about christmas town and the amusement park there as well, and im not sure if this is in the video yet, but the explanation of her appearance like her pink hair is because she wanted to look more heavenly because everybody has otherworldly colorful hair. She wants to look like what she will look like in heaven on earth.
I'm thinking she's describing an acid trip... or hundreds of trips. I grew up in the 60s and this was pretty typical of my friends describing their trips😈
Yup. 1/4 of a 4 way windowpane acid in the 70s and I too was seeing the colorful cartoonish things she describes. The difference is that I knew it was all a drug induced hallucination and she thinks its real. 😳

That’s what I think. The minister is trying to please everyone who listens to her. As a former Christian there were many views by church goers of what Heaven would be like. This minister describes multiple versions of what Heaven which would fit what every member of her congregation believes. Even though she has a mishmash of contradictory ideas it doesn’t matter. These evangelicals are not logical about their afterlife desires. They will like what sounds right from her and ignore the rest.
Christmas Town, really? So what she’s saying is that an all knowing, all powerful God is so unimaginative that the best name he could come up with is Christmas Town?
I've heard of medieval visions of heaven where heaven is depicted as full of food and abundance, because that was something the people who lived then often lacked.

That body parts warehouse "doctrine" has reached us here in Africa too. My former pastor from when I was a Christian (2years ago) used to preach about how people who have seen heaven and came back bemourned the many replacement body parts that were going to waste in heaven because people on earth didn't have the faith to "receive" them for their healing.
If nobody has ever had enough faith to regrow missing limbs in literally all of history, then prayer is functionally useless for that. Too bad for God, but he needs to revise his methodology.

My mother used to tell me that, according to the book of revelations, in heaven you would be singing before the throne of god for the eternity. Don't forget the idea of having a bus in heaven, I don't know about anyone else's feelings about public transportation but to me it's not exactly stellar or filled with wonder. Also the idea that there are no bald people in heaven means the Rock or Vin Diesel won't look as legendary.

I've been an atheist for years, and used to believe in heaven, hell ect. I've watched many if your videos, but this is by far the most interesting. I think its hilarious, but the fact that people take her seriously is very worrying. "Christmas Land!?" Christmas is based on the pagan holiday, which celebrated the birth of the god Mithras. And she's not even on drugs! Look forward to part 2.

Just like many religions, heaven in her mind is just a perfected version of her environment. In her case: heaven is a magical version of America mixed with Disney
Also, wouldn't there be people who would have to work to maintain the rides where they aren't free to go off and do their own thing. Also, if they did, and the ride broke down when they were supposed to be there, what kind of trouble do you think they would get into?
Mark Twain wrote a story Captain Stormcroft goes to heaven. You are allowed to be any age you want. People who die in their senior years eventually elect to be bald. They can't stand hanging out with young airheads. The bald head is a sign to flock for other mature people.
It's apparently so easy to fool people this way, I'm almost wondering why I didn't do this myself. Only my honesty and potential guilt keeps me from ever doing it. This is the longest con. There's never been any such thing as a prophet.

As far as I know salvation (as taught in the A.M.E. Church and many more Protestant denominations) i.e. freedom from eternal death is a gift and can't be bought or earned.
