But this is so strange, it is the very definition of "Come hell or high water". Beside the lifejackets, does coast guard also require oars? But that much weight would require so many oarsmen it would look like a Roman galley. And put youtube speed up to 2 times, so the train seems to go faster, and with almost No Wake, KUUL!!

    5 months ago we saw your CPRail video on the same sub
    Does this mean that CPRail and BNSF will have to place their Davenport trains on the ship registry?
    Has this sub been transferred to Coast Guard regulations?
    Will CPRail and BNSF be equipping their engines with life jackets and life boats?
    I do realize that this year's flooding has had some tragic consequences, but sometimes a little smiling eases the pain. Our prayers go out to those affected.

    So, for all that think the motors should short out. Ever heard of "International Protection Marking" - the IP Code? if not, for short: there are ways that Electical components are made Waterproof, and yes, even in standing water/submerged. As tracktion motors are living like all thier life on the rail in every weather condition they are made to withstand that. They have a IP68 rating. dustthight and watertight up to 3 feet deep.
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_Code

    • @formidable38
      @formidable38 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      LOL, Traction motors do not have an IP rating, they are not water tight or airtight because if they were, they would overheat.
      TM's are air cooled by traction motor blowers, its basically a large 'snail blower' (one each end of the locomotive) that forces air through ducting and through the motor via air vents in the casing and field windings. Sealed DC traction motors don't exist as they would simply overheat without air circulating through them in service.
