Good news, great news, and bad news, but before those, an explanation for my absence.
1st week, my aunt came close to dying and I was looking after her.
2nd week, I was collaborating on this: • Playlist
3rd week, I was trying to fix my sleeping schedule. It was screwed due to the above. Also, my uploads haven't been completing due to my terrible ISP coughChartercough.
Bad news, I'm behind on the cutscene stuff. Will take awhile.
Good news, Story mode and Mission mode for Riders 2 is complete and will begin uploading tomorrow night.
Great news (for some people since I keep getting asked about it), Sonic Heroes 100% will be redone since my current version of it is in shit quality.
Let's hope I can upload consistently for awhile. Channel performance has remained steady so I'm very lucky.

Imagine this game remastered with an added online mode...
I want a Sonic Riders 4 to be honest. Series had potential. I'd give it one more shot.
@Anon7906 the game was good, but got worse with each new sequel. The first one remains my favorite, the second is okay, but changed way too much. And the third was an Xbox Exclusive that used wonky unresponsive motion controls that no one wanted to play seriously. If they make a new game, they should return to the original formula. Otherwise this game is doomed to remain in obscurity.

Nitro GamePlay whaaat? I think Zero Gravity has improved a lot for the story and the gameplay is giving more control, even though it’s a little slow.
Zero Gravity is a good game, but when comparing it to the original their are too many new gimmicks involved and the game play is made more complicated because of it. It's a lot harder to get your gravity meter back, and you can use it as often as in the original. I like Zero Gravity, but it is much worse from the original. I can play the original flawlessly with some of the best track times, but going to zero gravity the game is just so slow.

Super sonic is technically the most balanced character in the whole game, because of its constant wear of rings, you can not abuse the boost, forcing you to maintain control, instead of going as fast as possible. It is also ironic.
but even so its biggest problem is that the wear of rings is too much and perhaps the limit of rings obtained should have been increased to 200.
Or to make it a tiny bit easier. You gain rings by what rank you earned doing tricks!

I think I have a better idea: make him completely invincible and always have him boost while as Super Sonic, but he has to have at least 50 Rings to become Super Sonic and he starts off at 0.
“Super Sonic is taking a great advantage of his speed”, now if he takes advantage of his rings....

Super Sonic is a character that requires great skill to play as properly. If you can't manage your ring counter and you boost way too often, you'll run out of rings and be on the run.

The only way to play Super Sonic properly in this game is to never boost, drift only sparingly when absolutely necessary, memorize where the 100-Ring item is and plan which lap you will snag it(by foreseeing your ring consumption throughout the track beforehand), and spam the Speed(rails) and Flight(mid-air rings) shortcuts whenever possible to stop that accursed ring drain even temporarily.
It's highly stressful and much more difficult than simply managing Air, and for all that, the result is you're slower than a guy on default Gear who's spamming Air boosts. It's just a novelty item, nothing more besides changing the game's mechanics drastically and making it harder and more frustrating as a result.
@@DistantRainbow would you say he's worth all the trouble of getting gold on all the missions? Because I reeeeally don't wanna put so much of my spare time and effort into something i'll just end up hating XD nor take the immense frustration going through trial and error of said missions. I've heard from some he is, and that some he isn't. some say they've beaten their own records with him, some saying they couldn't beat their old ones and preferred x character with x gear. But I do like that you can unlock him at all unlike its sibling anniversary game sonic 06, heck i remember the rumor that if you got all S ranks in that game you could unlock him.

If you're looking to have an easier time in the game, not really., besides the fact that you'll become pretty darn skilled at the game enough to win with most gears if you can manage to get all Gold rankings on the missions. There are superior Gears elsewhere, look to those if you want an easier time.
If you're just curious about how he controls, well, you can imagine somewhat, considering that Super Sonic is just a combination of three things: Omnipotence(utilizes all three type shortcuts but doesn't get anything else from them), The Crazy(uses rings instead of Air) and better default(boost-less) stats. Considering Omnipotence and The Crazy are already considered sub-par Gears... yeah, you can see the problem.
I won't deny that Super Sonic has a coolness factor though. At least that's undeniable. And if you want to challenge yourself with him, that's some potential fun there. At least, being able to use both Speed and Flight shortcuts might make it marginally easier to use compared to The Crazy.
The "Emergency Alert" in Babylon Garden nearly gave me a heart attack as an 8 year old 😅
if sonic is on foot while using the chaos emerald, then he should run almost as fast as the default extreme gear
and also they should have made it so, when using the chaos emerald, he should gain rings for whatever normally gets air
Yes. That might have given some balance.
As it is, Super Sonic is a terrible character in this game. Can't boost nor drift for fear of losing all your rings, while everyone else is boosting and efficiently drifting as crazy, which is _much_ faster than Super Sonic's base speed which is what you're stuck on most of the time(and if you lose all your rings then you go a LOT slower, even). Those Air items are also plumb useless since you don't even utilize Air in the first place. Whoop-de-doo, you get to utilize all three types of shortcuts! News flash: that's completely pointless since most of the time type shortcuts cover the same parts of the track, so no track has all three type shortcuts figure majorly in navigating through it efficiently. Not to mention that you're getting no benefit ring-wise from the shortcuts besides stopping your ring consumption temporarily. Heck, if you use Power shortcuts even that doesn't happen at all! And while that's happening, your rivals are scoring tons of free Air out of the same shortcuts for more boosts. You're much better off just using a Gear that gives you an extra type to play with, then just chaining two types of shortcuts and using all the Air you get from them with boost-spamming.
The sequel improves him greatly with an infinite Magnetic Barrier to siphon away all the rings you can find nearby, slower ring consumption, changing Gravity(Air) items into Rings, and eliminating boosts and drifts altogether(the replacing mechanic, Meteor Bursts and Gravity Dives, are only utilized like once or twice per lap each and Super Sonic just goes without it because he leaves everyone behind in the dust once he activates infinite boost mode). Now he's actually an above-average character to use.
They should of made it that he mostly get rings from capsules and his boost should of went to 300 speed and yeah he should be able to run on foot as fast as a normal gear.
They also should’ve replaced air item bubbles with all being ring item bubbles. And made his map icon Super Sonic instead of regular Sonic. Like they could’ve just upturned the bottom two quills and made the icon yellow, but just a cosmetic nitpick
yeah super sonic unfortunately kinda sucks in this game. youre basically required to get 100 ring capsules and even if you don’t boost, you’ll probably run out before the race is over because of drifting. most tracks don’t have enough rings to sustain him either. a way to fix him would be make it so every single capsule you pick up is either rings or a ring shield. it’s absurd that he uses no air yet still picks up air capsules

When I used to play this game, I was unnerved by Babylon Garden. The music, the place, and the security system in this place actually creeped me out. Then again, that’s nothing compared to Astral Babylon, which is way scarier.

super sonic should be invulnerable to other character attacks and start of with more rings. Well, at least its not as bad as zero gravity which using the gravity bracelet drains you instantly.

It hurts me that Super Sonic isn't very good in this game. The Rings being way too small in this game makes them harder to collect for all characters without slowing down to try and grab them. Boosting, sliding, and even charging a jump just eats Rings faster. Thankfully they buffed him in the sequel, but man all those missions just for a form easily outclassed by most characters here...
