Jane Marczewski lived a beautiful life full of vision, creativity, and passion. As she pursued her career in music, she received news that no one saw coming: a breast cancer diagnosis. Determined to beat the odds, she fought for a miracle. In the midst of her fight, Jane was invited to audition for America’s Got Talent and on June 8th, 2021 she performed her song, “It’s OK,” and won the hearts of millions and the AGT judges as she received Simon Cowell’s golden buzzer. The grasp of cancer was too strong for her body to overcome, and she dropped out of the AGT competition. Jane passed away on February 19, 2022, but left a lasting legacy of hope in Jesus that cannot be laid to rest, and her spirit is still impacting the lives of souls around the world through her music and her foundation.

Jane, if I could turn back time, I'd tell you how much this song and all the rest have helped me to come to grips with my "stick of dynamite" battle. The oncologist says six months until the fuse runs out. BOOM! But it's alright... That is my new motto, It's Alright. I've been through chemo all 2022 summer and ended with my cancer under control, but... I've taken prescriptions ever since that leave me fatigued and other unpleasant side effects. The meds have me marking time. The cancer is still there but is no worse as the two drugs are keeping me alive. I used to be very active but now struggle to sleep and when I get out of bed I sit in my recliner all day. The only break is going to the never ending doctors appointments. I got into a bad frame of mind, depressed. My love of music led me to TH-cam on my good days. Last week I was listening to Metric, Bill Ryder-Jones new song, and new work from MRCH. I'm not a big fan of TV so I don't watch AGT but I was attracted to the audition video in the list of suggestions. I watched, spellbound and the tears rolled down my face. I realized it's alright. I'm alright, my future is clear. I have another appointment with my oncologist in two weeks and will finalize my decision. It is time to stop the prescribed meds but continue the holistic path and ride out the clock. My wife, my brother and my three adult children agree. Did somebody say "rebellious hope"? I'm all in. I will not be alone. I have a Nightbirde signing at my window telling me it's alright.

Jane impacted my soul tonight. We never met but I listened to her sing a dozen times this evening and I cried every time. I am a tough guy but she affected me. I am so thankful that she graced this earth. And her "2%" quote will be something I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you, Jane. And thank you to Jane's family for sharing her wonderful soul and legacy with the rest of us.

Good evening family and friends of Jane/nightbird, tonight I heard again the song she sang on got talent, sorry don't know how to type it. but this song has a lot of impact with and in my life. have a brother in law who is also battling with cancer. i find it very hard to see it. but through my Christian faith and going to the free evangelical church, that gives me hope to keep going and not giving up. He is our Savior, Saviour, Refuge. Last time I heard she was a Christian and it filled me with Joy and peace that only He can give. And I wish that to the family, friends and all fans. that He is and will be near, He alone holds our future in His Hands. greetings from a brother from the Netherlands
