All of Vessel's songs are love songs. In the mythos, he is worshiping an ancient deity called Sleep. In reality, he is singing about a failed relationship with someone who nearly destroyed him and who he nearly destroyed in turn. All of his songs are about him and her.

Sleep Token is what I call post genre music, they cannot be limited to one genre. Worship!

Post-genre is a cool concept, though it feels more like a blend of many genres -- maybe poly-genre? Sleep Token can still be categorized within established genres like metal (various), prog, alt, pop, R&B, funk, rap, etc... True post-genre, in my humble opinion, would transcend these labels, breaking the mould of how we classify and perceive sound itself. Maybe that's too sci-fi (for now).

Vore isn't heavier. Maybe if you gauge heaviness by screaming, but this is far heavier musically.

It's the switch-up from stank face to grin and back again as the euphoria sets in from the ride Vessel takes us all on.
The "red in the blue" part isn't something you would immediately pick up on unless you think of Vessel essentially referencing mood ring colors. To say he has "a blood trail, red in the blue", he means he is actively pursuing this girl with intense love and passion amidst being sad she isn't his girl yet after "shooting his shot".
Oh, I thought it was referencing how blood is commonly referred to as red blood (oxygen rich) and blue blood (oxygen depleted), that takes place while breathing

"A blood trail purged in blue" is a military term. The song isn't about one person, as far as I can tell. It sounds more like a song to escape his past. He's talking about people that he can longer talk to, and he hopes to see them one day. I'm not going to get into beliefs, etc.

He only sees her as a goddess in his dreams now, hence Sleep.
It’s way deeper than that man. But the girl who this is based off of in real life is still alive. It’s dead relationship he’s singing to. All three albums are one trilogy outlining his journey through life after this relationship ended.

I've always interpreted the lyrics the other way around. HE is the one being summoned. "You've got my body, flesh and bone" - The empty "Vessel" (Lol) into which his spirit can be conjured forth.
"Take me past the edge, I want to see the other side" - literally the place he is being summoned to.
This could be alluding to an old relationship in a lot of ways:; someone who has grown apart from in the time that has passed, to the point that they are figuratively "worlds apart", yet she still has the means to pull him back in, even if only briefly.
The video for alkaline is like a mini movie. They definitely have some theatrics to them lol

Hard to recommend a song as the entire album is incredible, but you could check out The Rain or Alkaline (this was their biggest song from a previous album)
