    You know you're fast when you can fix your shades in the middle of a sub 25 sec 200 and look flawless in it.

      True, most 1:45 800m runners are either fast or REALLY slow. He probably only ran 1 lap and it was so slow that they thought it must have been 2...... get a life troll

      only 90sec and 2 min rest if i do that that would be 50 - 51 secs and 30-32 secs these athletes are incredible but ım 200 guy

    Wow they're very strong!I tried this workout today:5*300 meters in 47-48 and 5x200 meters in 28-30s.I was unable to go faster at the end!
    I can run the 800 in 1min59,the 1500 in 4min03,5k in 15min10,and 10k in 32-33min,so I'm not a bad runner though I'm not a champion :).
    Respect!

      Same than in the vid except for the 6x200 meters(I took 1min30 rest instead of 2min).That doesn't really make a big difference though.

      I've been running since september 2013 and I'm 24.When I started to run,I ran the 800 in 2min05-2min08,the 1500 in 4min15-4min20 and 3k in 9min10-9min20.I'm lacking of pure speed.

    When I was a high school freshman, I ran a 2:12 800m. Is that good? I am a sophomore rn, going into track looking to drop it to sub 2:05. Is that realistic, plus what do you think my 400 would be. I am mostly a 800 and 1600 runner but I want to know what range I should expect.

    • @lwawfafafafaa8957
      @lwawfafafafaa8957 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      7 secs is a fairly big drop but its not unheard of if you put the work in so it's a reasonable goal imo even if you don't quite hit the mark. Your 400 is most likely somewhere around 56-59 secs unless you're predisposed to being a good sprinter.

    • @rhysnichols8608
      @rhysnichols8608 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Both. It's better for speed though, it will give you stamina and is good training for running distances such as 1500m which combines speed and endurance

    • @georgeherndon5129
      @georgeherndon5129 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    • @moimoi4725
      @moimoi4725 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It is a "speed endurance" type of work out. Rest intervals are short as you witnessed. You learn to keep same speed for that distance allowing you to have that kick you need in middle distance races.

    • @roberthewison9936
      @roberthewison9936 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Ereng has tutored three NCAA champions, 45 NCAA All-Americans, 95 conference champions and four NCAA regional champions. He also has eight athletes that were named Conference Athlete of the Year and 10 that gained conference Freshman of the Year honors. He had two runners earn conference Newcomer of the Year honors and three C-USA Outstanding Seniors. In addition, Ereng had 30 individuals qualify for the NCAA track and field championships and 22 individuals qualify for the NCAA cross country championships. Following the 2006 season, Ereng was named the national Assistant Coach of the Year for distance by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). I am pretty sure he knows what he is doing .
