I’m shouting at the tv again 🤣 He wasn’t born out of wedlock, Emery was her maiden name. She was Jessie Wright, formerly Emery. Emery was given to the baby as one of his Christian names. On his school certificates his initials were WJE. Also wedding certificates have ages of the couple getting married, not on birth certificates. Another great video 💙💙 PS Andy please give Matt a slap, as my dad would say “he’s pushing his luck” 🤣🤣🤣
So the little scales are usually used for compound pharmacies. Very few grains at a time are mixed. Really beautiful! Haven’t seen one since we went to the history Rx museum! What a great old home! So many beautiful things. Always sad that someone lost so much, or family didn’t care about the history and left it. Thanks guys. Really great today! 💕
45:29... This is why I love you guys. So many younger explorers would go in the total other direction. You have the knowledge and wherewithal to actually tell what things are.
Hello Andy & Matt, I'm sure it would have been really comfy cosy in this cottage back in its heyday. At 23:08 a definite orb comes into view towards you Matt. Its at ground level so it could be a former resident coming to see what you are up to or maybe the dog Andy thought he'd heard whimper earlier on! So cool. 👻 🐕 Love you guy's! XX
"She's a little girl experimenting with different types of music and Doctor Who." 😂 The way you said that tickled me. The book that you found, by the way, is actually a book of poems.
i got really emotional over this one for some reason, its so sad that the owners were well educated and well travelled and yet they have left this house to rack and ruin from mother nature, surely they must have had a relative or friend they could have left this house to, all the paper work is history right there ,its such a shame xxxx
Another really interesting explore. The scales were Apothecary scales, used to weigh tiny amounts of ingredients. Oh, the birth certificate, the poor man was not born out of wedlock! It seems he was given his mother's maiden name as a third Christian name. I just feel bad when I see all the items the person has collected over a lifetime just left to rot. So sad.
This is the most interesting explore I've seen so far, I feel like the owner(s) were really level headed, cultured people. There's loads of quaint items, culture and history for one little house 👍
Needlepoint is often referred to as "tapestry" in the United Kingdom and sometimes as "canvas work". However, needlepoint-which is stitched on canvas mesh-differs from true tapestry-which is woven on a vertical loom. When worked on fine weave canvas in tent stitch, it is also known as "petit point". 😁
What do you mean "people used to dry flowers"? people still dry flowers in all sorts of ways. And also, there doesn't have to be black flecks in bone. It depends on what bone or horn that's used and how it's cut.
32:25 that’s black drawing salve...or blood root. That stuff has a myriad of healing uses. 42:14 Milk thistle tablets would be for liver, gallbladder and pancreas health.
Only found you guys this week, enjoying the explores but I've never heard anyone who can talk as much as Matt, its literally non stop, I'll see if its too much for me as I watch more of your vids lol !! Loving Andy, ❤️ he's very sweet 😍 Have subscribed 👍
26:22 Andy's look as he said "forgot about the clogs", as Matt reminded that Andy does remember anything. Haha! Guys, love your videos. Always make me chuckle and learn a lot especially the European travels. Keep up the good work! Well wishes to Andy.
Yes. I own a Grand Banks cruiser. 1.500. NM cruising range. The Yawl is a gaff rigged fishing type of vessel, large metal rings that loop around the mast to which the sails are attached, and the top of the mast it is painted white, 3ft approx. Some are still around/original, and others have had a small sleeping/ galley area built in. A history worth looking into for future ref if needed. Cheers.
You two make me laugh so much! I just love this explore. I did love that cupboard full of all the bits and bobs! I like the way they had a background for each part of it too. That is beautiful!! I loved the marble clock too. That was a brill find! Andy’s faces are hilarious and when he’s pretending to be made at you, Matt…😂😂😂. Some of the coins are American; e.g., Pennie’s, dimes, etc. I like the finds in the house so that was great. I just love you two…no explore what would be the same without you both. I love Matt and Andy!!
I'm here because I saw you on Nuke's Top 5! You guys are hilarious! Very brave going to these places with potential ghosts and even worse.... spiders!! Thanks for the content, looking forward to watching more of your videos, very entertaining ^_^
Omg I knew you were hiding at the beginning and yet I still almost shit myself! I see Andy still has his shaving battle wound! Lol another great find mates! Safe travels!
0:17 thanks for the shock fright matt ! that scream made me heart race should have knew it was about to happen as im use to matt saying the channel name not poor andy !
The jacket on the back of the door in the recent teen room is from an anime/manga called attack on titan. Great explore as always!! Hope your trip is going well
Brilliant explore! I'm from Andy's era. Had a wash in the sink every morning as a kid and a bath on Saturday night. We used to call the wash at the sink a budgie bath 😂. Milk thistle is to help detox the liver after a bout of drinking. 🇮🇪❤️🍀
Your from andys era, I'm from matts era, as I was born in 88, an literally stayed at my nan an grandads house all the time. An trust me when I say there was nothing better than having a warm bubble bath in the kitchen sink 😂🤣 can't belive matts never done it, the old joke was just throw some onions carrots in etc and you've got a stew haha
@@marckentzer1435 😂😂 my young adult kids are always mortified when I would tell them stories of my childhood. They haven't a clue. The only thing they like from the eighties is the music. Have a great Sunday 🇮🇪❤️🍀

What an interesting and well travelled person or persons that lived there. Baby wasn't born out of wedlock. I loved the miniature cabinet with all the bits and pieces in it. Shame no family to inherit all those memories. 🇮🇪🍀
What a brilliant place so much stuff where you can imagine how everyday life was . I love how you take the time to properly look at the things oh and Matt you sounded like a squeaky toy when you popped up at the start lol
My granny's cottage had stairs behind a door, its not something you see very often. Smashing explore guys. XX 💙💙 moaning Matt must be the brother of moaning myrtle in Harry Potter. 😂
That painting at 32:35 looks like a Claude Harrison. I'm not an expert but, I really admire his works. He was famous for painting jesters and harlequins
That Black Drawing is a black salve that you would put on a small wound to pull out the infection and help keep it from getting really bad. For example if you got a splinter in your finger and couldn't get it out with a needle, you would put that black salve on it and it would pull the splinter to the surface where you could get it out easier. That stuff worked GREAT. My grandparents always had it around on the farm.
0:31 watch as Matt moves his hand & says, to be fair the amount of birds. Look at the left side of the screen on his shoulder. A teeny tiny light comes into frame & vanishes into his shoulder.🫡
Tapestry is with Tapestry wool and needle work/embroidery is with embroidery silk and is much finer and more detailed.you two are so funny.hope your trip is going well so far xx
Hi. The jar in the medicine cabinet that said “drawing black” could have been drawing salve to remove splinters n the skin. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing these great adventures with us!
You come on at 3am my time and I fell asleep at 2 : 45. But I'm here now and ready to watch ❤️ Edit:had to fix the time because I didn't fall asleep at that timestamp lol
You two are 😂 you got me with the ole jump scare. How long have you known each other...? Poor Andy, has to deal with the fart master. Oh my gosh, so glad I found you two....😂😂😂❤
The soldier looked like the young boy on the family Christmas photo. You said he looked naughty. He looked like him . 😳 fabulous loved it . Hair bear bunch ( wow I remember them
I actually enjoyed that one. You had spirits with you who kept making noises while you were talking but I am stopping putting them on as I know your not a paranormal channel. Loved the stuff in there but you can tell they were very educated. Good job lads 🙏❤️
Thanks for another great explore! I love how you dig through old papers, very interesting. I don't think little William Joseph was born out of wedlock. They wouldn't have written the father's name on his birth certificate in that case, would they? 🤔 I think Emery was his middle name. It was pretty common to give children their mother's maiden name as first or middle name. It's not as interesting as the story you've made up though. 😅
Bloody hell Matt scared me half to death lol.A great explore!! I cannot believe that any one young would of been living there so recently😯 with it being so creepy & dirty.
Boring trivia time: the red book you found titled "Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam" is apparently a book of Persian poetry that was popular from around the late 19th century onwards. The only reason I've ever heard of it is its connection with the mysterious case of an unidentified body found on an Australian beach in the forties. He was called Somerton Man and a scrap of paper found on the body turn out to be part of the last page of this book. There's quite a few interesting TH-cam videos about this case.
Yes, Hitler loved using beetles cause they could be picked up by men if stuck, they were sturdy, easy on gas and yes, they float! My fav car, I've owned four of them, never a complaint, wish I had one now!

The sailing vessel on that plate is a Yawl. I once owned one, they are a sturdy boat and handy for short hand or single sailor.
