What a gem! Thank you for posting this. I had never seen Other Dances, though I've seen almost everything at NYCB in the 90's til 2012. It is simply beautiful, and beautifully simple.
Natalia claims she always found Jerome Robbins her favorite choreographer to work for. It's always nice (for me, anyway) when she talks about her partnership (and relationship in general) with Mikhail Baryshnikov. They made such impossibly beautiful music together so perfectly....
@@navarrebrixen2213 you may be right, I could of imagined it. lol but I don't think I did, in fact the video is the the whole creative process of setting the duet, so its not just a rehearsal its Robbins resetting the piece on them I think from scratch so you get to see all three of them putting this together its amazing! Then after about a half hour of that then they perform it for a New York audience I cannot recall which theatre they performed it in, I hope I didn't dream this up lol I really don't think i did I hope you can find It, it is the crown jewel of Dance videos, Its about an hour long.
I wouldn't know where to look, lol I use to see dance videos at Lincoln Center Library back in the late 80s early 90s, unfortunately they're very strict when it comes to those tapes. But thanks!
