I fucking love riv-nuts. I used them when I installed the AEV Highmarks on my ZR2. Do you remember that truck? What a sweet truck. There used to be a channel with a dude doing all sorts of sick mods. IDK he does BMW stuff now lol. Anyway, clean install dude, it looks fucking great!
You went with the right kit! I've been looking at the wide body options and this is my favorite. Thank for putting out the great content!!! Can't wait to see it painted.
I did my widebody kit in my driveway. With zero knowledge of body work, I gotta say its a lot of fun molding and sanding and watching the car come together. Cant wait to see what this looks like done!
@@matt13ross yeah I spent 11 hours on just trying to fit the front bumper and front fenders cause fiberglass is so annoying 😅 then about 3 to 4 days molding and sanding the car multiple times
Thats smart and great job , im surprised that its your first time you do this , i enjoyed every second of this video, and i can’t wait until put one on my e36 too🔥👍🏼
That looks great! Just wondering why you were concerned with using riv nuts and reversibility when you hacked your fenders up anyway? Seems like it would have been slightly easier tacking the overfenders on.
Before cutting up your fenders , the kit didnt line up with the bumpers and arches. How did you solve it and get it to fit so nicely? I have the same kit but when just looking at the kit over the fenders it seems like the kit has too wide arches.
Just found your channel and your car is sick dude. AS much as I like the widebody and meaty look idk if I could cut up a perfectly good (hellrot/japan rot?) car lol
@@matt13ross yeah just what’s under the hood I’ve been looking into doing a similar build and kind of comparing to see what’s worth doing and what I can go without
@Matt13Ross hi. What is the proper name for this tool please? I can't find anything with clicko name. Thank you in advance. Awesome work and the video. Will be doing same with my e36 compact. Cheers

Thank you! I think I made the right choice too. Should be painting very soon! 🎨
Phase 3 so tempting tho..
Yup the punching holes and cutting up the fenders hurts. The front fenders can be replaces but the rears are enough to make you weep.
This build just keeps getting better.
Thank you! Not even close to finished!
Looks great man, good job!
Thank you! Now time to paint
Just wondering why this channel wasn’t suggested to me earlier. I’ve probably watched five videos already. Great editing and great content.
Thank you 🙏 I really appreciate it!
its such a beautiful timeless car
Agree!
I like the hard motorsports fender flares on E36.
I was considering those
@@matt13rossare these felony form I’ve watched this video 3 times over the years I always miss it

So much work! Probably 15 hours just getting this far. And I didn’t even paint yet lol
@@matt13ross yeah I spent 11 hours on just trying to fit the front bumper and front fenders cause fiberglass is so annoying 😅 then about 3 to 4 days molding and sanding the car multiple times
I hate fiberglass!
@@matt13ross whats the material on this kit?
Fiberglass. But I don’t have to sand it, mold it, etc lol.

Glad you enjoyed, thanks!
In french one M3 e36 stok is 35 euro in Amérique please
What are you actually welding on the spot where the over fender sits on the rear and whats the point of cutting those slits and making them fold
Awesome job!👍
Thanks dude!
Dude you're crazy!!! 🔥 ❤️
A little bit!
Looks super clean! And have you considered doing bags all around? You could get the front and rear exactly where you want them
I don’t want bags because this is a track oriented setup. The bags would make it handle worse (soft)
@@matt13ross ahh that's true I didn't think about that.
Do you know how to mold the overfenders to the bodies and not have the hardware show? Would I need to use rivets?
No, I'm not skilled enough with paint or body to do that.
@@matt13ross I looked arount n it just looks like i gotta use a low profile hardware n then put some bondo or some body molder on over it.
That looks great! Just wondering why you were concerned with using riv nuts and reversibility when you hacked your fenders up anyway? Seems like it would have been slightly easier tacking the overfenders on.
I like the rivnuts because the overs themselves are easy to remove and replace as necessary vs rivets, which need drilled out.
Hey I’m looking to do the same kit on my e36 cabrio pretty soon. Where’d you get your rivnut/cleco kit from?
Most likely Amazon or eBay. They might be linked in the description box too.
What tool is that? The one that you used to hold the overs after you drilled the holes, the long piece that clamps to it. Not the riv-nuts
Clevis tool
Hello..do you have a link were i can buy that set@@matt13ross
Do you know what rivnut tool kit that is?

Mine lined up. I just took my time to get it as good as possible.
is this an original 1994 BMW E36 M3 ?

Great content, have a brilliant rot red getting ready to do the same. What size wheels in rear will the rear phase2 fitment labs allow? Hoping 10.5"
10.5 no problem, probably 11 without issue as well. I've got lots of room with the 10s and I'm going to add a bigger spacer.
@@matt13ross awesome...good looking out my friend
hello and what size of driller you use thx?:)
Hrm, not sure. Whatever size goes with an M5 riv nut.
Just found your channel and your car is sick dude. AS much as I like the widebody and meaty look idk if I could cut up a perfectly good (hellrot/japan rot?) car lol
It was little tough cutting it up, I won't lie lol.
What over fenders are these? I've been looking around for some
I'm guessing you didn't want the video...lol. Fitment Lab, link in description.
Love the work you’ve done with the e36 but where’s the part list and cost for this we all want to know 😂😂 please
The build is still ongoing. You mean just the LS swap? I still haven't added anything up lol.
@@matt13ross yeah just what’s under the hood I’ve been looking into doing a similar build and kind of comparing to see what’s worth doing and what I can go without
Yea I have to add that up at some point. The big ticket items are engine, clutch, tranny.
Wont the drilled holes start to rust over time?
Nah I touched them up too.
The ls twin turbo haouuu the bomba
What kind transmission you used
T56 Magnum F
What length screw did you use with the M5 rivnuts?
I don’t remember. Sorry!
how can i finde the clicko on the web, i mean the ting that hold the fender, how are they called? Thanks!
and what dimension should the cleco be?
Hrm, I just got a generic size I believe. Check Amazon and eBay, they both have them.
@Matt13Ross hi. What is the proper name for this tool please? I can't find anything with clicko name. Thank you in advance. Awesome work and the video. Will be doing same with my e36 compact. Cheers
Loving the build bro , please send me the extra seat I have watched all your vids 😭 I’ll pay shipping of course
Sorry I sent it back already!! lol
Wear some hearing protection while using that angle grinder. Thank me later lol
You're not wrong, LOL!
hey what’s the wheel specs on the apex
17X10 all around
3/16 or 1/8 cleco
Hey just wondering why do you need to weld the rears?
It's not required, but it makes the inner and outer metal pieces form into one like the factory. Cleaner and should help prevent rust / corrosion.
@@matt13ross thanks bro i dont have a welder so ima just spray as much rust reppellent as I can then🤣
Do some seam sealer or something similar too.
@@matt13ross will do thanks man
Beau projet 👌
Thanks!

@@matt13ross thank you i am really appreciate it
Nice vid hi
Thanks and hello!
What is LS swaped?
My E36…..lol
He swapped a Chevy LS engine into his BMW.
Idk how he missed that...
I did not know what LS stood for that's why I asked ?
« suddenly, an oil leak »
I don’t get it
Даааа!!
BETTER TO LEAVE IT STOCK.
Agree to disagree.
@@matt13ross YOU CAN'T IMPROVE CLASSIC DESIGN WITH A CLOWN COVER ART IS ART.
it was totaly not worth it, car lost money value and i just doesnt look that great on e36 compared to e46widebody kits
It’s an E36, it’s not worth much anyway.
