this was so short, 8 minutes with sam. it sucks that sam made such a great point at the end and it just ended the interview. It really makes us think, doesn't it. If it solves Cancer, lets say using automated breeding of virus specific to certain cancers, how will someone who has a dream of solving it feel? well, they will feel the same way as if someone else, another human that is not them, solving it first. It is part of it and I'm all for fast forwarding safe innovation to a better future. thanks for this interview.

This happens every day already. World is so big that the chances that a specific person will cure cancer is almost 0, most probably someone else will cure it. Most of humanity doesn't push the limits of science in their everyday life and still most of us keep us living their lives. Maybe AI will enable people who haven't access to elite education to do something remarkable

exactly ! it feels exactly like if someone else solved it first. you need to think of it like not everyone wins the nobel prize.

I think, and I could be very wrong, if one person could cure cancer unassisted, it would have been done by now. As for the collaboration, The person working with the AI will take the credit with OAI. It's already not so uncommon that people heading teams take full credit for things they had help for. Whether it waters it down for them will depend on the persons personality, but I would also hope that for most oncologists, the prestige of personally solving cancer, or even continuing to have jobs, takes a back seat to never seeing somebody consumed living again.

he is collecting insanity points as we get closer to AGI. fixing his hair would the last thing on his mind currently cause he's so busy tearing it out due to all the stress/insanity.

😒🖕🏻🙄This take/comparison is 💩 ✨. Art is a process and personal. AI can't manufacture or replicate a soul. AI is pure theft.
