Hi Eric I've been looking at this truck and the E-Revo 2.0. can't decide between the two. I've heard the servo sucks also. What would you recommend? I have a lot of tall grass asphalt, gravel roads.... Looking for something durable for the money. I don't like that you have to use 2 batteries in the E-Revo 2.0 tho. Also what would you recommend servo wise? My little mini erevo has a hard time in the grass sometimes, but I am missing the pin in the drivetrain (front wheels hardly spin). Any help would be great thanks and nice video!

The kraton was easier to drive flat out kept a straight line most of the time the e revo was a handful and usually left for dead. These were 2010 models But the e revo landed without the big body slap the kraton does. Hahahaah they were driving a little 90 cc four wheelers when they were three years old I had them on stampede to S they now play with them but I keep the setting at 50%
I was told to get rid of the red aluminum spacer at the end of the lower arms and the plastic ones at the top and that will push the cvd in further so they don't pop out so easily. I took them off and threw them away and haven't ever had that problem.
I said the same thing with my red cat machete the other day and I was at my local park just doing some light ground bashing just driving around having fun and there is this big 15 ft ditch that cuts the parking too and at the bottom of that ditch there's about a 3-ft wide stream that's about a foot deep. Somehow I accidentally let my car roll backwards and over the edge of the ditch and down into that stream I thought sure I was screwed it was fully submerged and it's the machete 6S so it's got the hobby wing WP 10 BL 158 when I pulled it out of the water the damn thing was still running lol.... I did take it apart and dry everything before I ran it again but it worked perfectly and it still works now
I just bought one today. I use to drive Nitro about 10 years ago. I took it out for 20 minutes and damn she's quick and loads of fun. Can't wait to actually see what it can do.
The thing is a beast! You can send it and she will fly! Just know you may have to upgrade a few things to avoid breakage like the frame support braces, upgrade the steering Bell crank and aluminum center diff.
I bought two of these. One for myself and one for my son. They are really fast and can take a beating. I would offer a word of caution though. Out of the box, check every screw you can get to and make sure they are snug. I had several that were not even screwed in all the way. My motor actually unscrewed from the mount and the two mount screws were not tight at all. So I would buy another one in a minute, just take a few to check things out. Blue lock tight works really well.
I have the stock transmitter and it doesn’t have a battery level readout. I assume if you get a Spektrum transmitter with that capability, you would need the smart batteries as well.

I've got a discontinued team associated RC8.2 1/8 buggy that I broke and can't get parts for. Reedy electronics are still good. 2000kv brushless motor, SC1000-BLesc and XP2G radio. I've also got 2 5200 mah, 35C 4s lipos. I want to get a Kraton to do some "average" bashing on my acre lot. Question is should I go for the 1/8 EXB roller and use my 4S electronics or just get the 4S RTR for the same price? I really have no desire to go to 6S given I have parts for 4S and I think 4S is plenty fast for what I'm doing. Any advice is much appreciated!
I would just go with the 4S RTR if you are trying to saying some cash. In my opinion if you get the 1/8 EXB roller, you might as well getting stronger electronics as it’s a heavier truck. You don’t have to run 6S on the bigger motors. You can still run 4S but have more efficiency. Then later if you are feeling froggy you can run 6S and really let her rip!
I used a rc8.2e for years on 4s, wore it out got rid of it and bought a typhon 3s. The typhon 3s is just about as fast on 3s as the rc8.2e was on 4s! Much quieter and having a little less torque, its soooo much easier on tires.
I have the Kraton, Big Rock and Senton. The Kraton is a powerhouse. The Big Rock is fun, takes a beating, but the Senton is fun, fast and takes a hell of a beating.

Depends on what you want to do with it. Los of off road bashing and big air I’d say Kraton. Smaller off roading with more speed, nice air and probably racing then the Typhon 6S for sure.
The Kraton is a beast but can be finicky sometimes. There are some things it needs to make it solid because I had issues with it breaking after a few minuets of bashing. All in all an awesome truck!
That is just what it’s set at from the factory. It’s the throttle response. It limits how quickly the car ramps up to full speed. Punch 9 gives you all the beans as soon as you hit the throttle.

Looking for something that can handle the taller grass, dirt, gravel etc. .. I've been out of the hobby for about 20 years just got back into it and want best bang for buck. I'm not too hard of a basher. Just something to have fun with. I know stuffs gonna break cuz it's RC. Never heard of spektrum before tho and am clueless if I go with the kraton and the servo breaks, I wouldn't really know what to replace it with.
I ran those hrbs, and they lasted for a while, but eventually lost their steam. Bought zeee 100c and never looked back. I wont run anything less than 80c in this truck.
Hi from Australia. I've owned a couple of these and bashed them properly haha. Very strong a few upgrades and a very fast fun and reliable (as far as rc cars go ) I run 4 s punch 9 maybe a little crazy but it's how you like it set it 😊
Really? I’ve been hearing mixed reviews. Heard the Kraton breaks easy and vice versa on the E Revo. I think both are pretty decent in durability, but if you land wrong of course it’s going to break something.
What are your thoughts on the Kraton 6s? So far I am loving this beast!

Yup! I did the same thing and haven’t had an issue with the dog bones popping out anymore.
Yup the cvds wont pop out after backflips.

Well if I could ever get through a pack without breaking something, maybe 20 min.

Oh yeah she is heavy for sure! The heavier they are the easier they are to break on a jump if you don’t land just right. 😄
Not heavy compared to an 8s. I think a 6s is a good compromise between quick and nimble
