I totally understand that but, as a beta tester, when you're asking for more functionality you're also asking for more granularity which means higher potential for more bugs, good for my business but bad for players. I was pleasantly surprised at how polished this game was compared to a lot of releases that required patches but part of that I suspect is they didnt go into too much detail of mechanics. They could totally have had quidditch, broom stats, multiplayer, etc but all of that would open up a huge potential for bugs. From what I can tell it seems they wanted to perfect the basics of Wizarding world as best they could and that is spell casting and broom flying. If you don't have the basics under control then all the other stuff doesn't matter anyway.
would love to see a "revelio" broom which has a lantern you can toggle on/off and works as a non-stop revelio charm. Allowing you to see things you might've missed while flying around
You can still cast revelio on a broom. Should've mentioned that actually. The range on a broom is extremely good! But yeah, something like a constant sonar would be useful
Or there shouldn't be revelio at all... xD Or at least it wouldn't show loot. They could just do a little circling light around the boxes that can be looted so you would know there is a loot box. I am guilty of using revelio a lot but i think it would be better if it didn't scan the loot. 😬 You just spam revelio and loot all the houses. oh and why the loot is in the houses? it feels like i am robbing people while they don't give a fuck that i am in their house. . xD
Family Antique is my favourite. Going to grab that this weekend. It's more muted classic style is perfect for a dark arts witch trying to keep a low profile.
I would love to see customizable brooms, much like the wands we got to choose from. Maybe have a couple of different slots that can be mixed and matched, such as the bristles, the seat, the shaft, and decorations. Also, each could be assigned a different trait, such as a speed boost, a maneuverability buff, or maybe some perks such as revelio shows elements from further away, or being able to cast certain spells from the broom.
My thoughts precisely! I see it with four mix and match slots: shaft, handle, seat and broom bristles. Each with different traits, speed, maneuverability, extra spell use (the potential of Accio from a broomstick...!). Also, color change options so all brooms can be a "House" broom.
My personal top three are the Moon Trimmer, Night Dancer and Silver Arrow brooms. Yes, the Silver Arrow broom is expensive as hell, but it has been my main broom in both of my playthroughs so far. When it comes to realistic expectations (If I were truly in the Wizarding World in that era), I think Night Dancer would be one for me, with its comfortable seat and aerodynamic build.
I couldn't agree more with you. I purchased the Ember Dash as my first broom, and I have been using the Wild Fire since I unlocked it. Anyway, the Sky Scythe looks sharp as well. Admittedly, I am not really into brooms with cauldrons or lanterns hanging near the tip, it makes me think that they can fall when you are landing, apart from giving me the sense that they are not very aerodynamic either.
Personally I'm not a fan of lanterns on brooms at all just looks clumsy and for role playing reasons I'd rather not advertise my location in the sky at night when I'm dropping down near a goblin or poacher camp that I want to "sneak into"
@@janoel03 in the video he gave points to brooms with sit for comfort but in the book it is explained that all the brooms have sits with an invisibility charm on it
This is so perfect. I discovered you when i was playing Cyberpunk, and now that i recently started Hogwarts Legacy you cover that as well😂 I also got the Ember Dash Broom as a first, it looks amazing! Great content man, keep going!
Night Dancer was my favorite as soon as i unlocked it, i've used it for nearly 50 hours, which is about 90% of my play time. Oh, and i like the little strap on it, looks like you can throw it over you back and always have it on you
The wild fire broom was the most awkward broom for me. The wobbly shaft along with your character gripping it with his hands just look like an enormous Johnson.
It was very cool to see the Moon Trimmer and Silver Arrow brooms, as I actually remember reading about them in "Quidditch Through the Ages". It is a shame that they didn't add any sort of stat changes for the more expensive brooms, especially as the 5000 Galleon Silver Arrow was canonically one of the faster brooms of this era, and should have definitely been faster than the Moon Trimmer.
If I have to be honest, Sky Scythe is my favorite broom. It may not have any special effects, trinkets, or lights, but I can't get over how beautiful the details are on it, from the green and black bristles to the head which resembles a war scythe's. And sure, it's pricey, but by midgame, if you're selling your gear, "rescuing" animals, and looting stuff, you won't really sweat the price. At least I didn't 🤷♂️
The sky scythe actually seems to produce a wind streaking effect at night. While boosting (especially using the limited faster boost) streams of air seem to rush by the broom on either side. Haven't noticed this on any other broom. And again, I only seem to see it during nighttime.
I use Lickety Split because it looks like I'm always flying around with banana bread in tow, which I feel like is on brand since I'm a hufflepuff. We need to have snacks with us at all times
I love the moon trimmer, I simply must have a lantern, otherwise I can't see shit. and in between the surprisingly few lantern equipped options the moon trimmer is by far the best looking. no seats unfortunately, but those bags do make it seem useful even if just for role playing. aesthetically definitely the ember dash, if I find a mod that makes all brooms emit light I'll probably use that one instead.
@Sam Bram, If I was a witch and have the desire for a racing broom I'd want it to have: 1. The streamlined agility of the Silver Arrow broom; 2. With the speed and glow of the Firebolt; 3. can handle perfect turns like the Nimbus 2001; 4. with the aerodynamic stability of the Nimbus 2000; 5. the Moon Trimer lantern for night flying; 6. the balance and food basket attachment of the lickety split; 7. the comfortable seating of the Night Dancer; 8. and the broom handle hook feature for extra supplies just like the Aeromancer broom.
In the latest update they made the Emberdash broom back just like wildfire broom with the heat distortion and now when you speed up it burns brighter. Both are beautiful.
All these brooms except perhaps the antique family heirloom will have the cushioning charm (since 1820), so the saddles/seats are more aesthetic than utilitarian. AS such, I prefer the simpler and more utilitarian designs.
As a Severus Snape AND Prof. Sharp fan, the cauldron one is my favourite, with the one that has the lantern and the fiery one right after. And the one with green bristles ranking again after these.
Trust me dont bother with that challenges. You wont get exp, easter eggs, secrets nor skills. It’s pretty much boring and only a facade to the absence of Quidditch feels.
later update, but the sky scythe actually "cuts" through the air. When you're BOOSTING, you can see 2 air waves off each side of the broom. I think the most aesthetically pleasing
Night Dancer is the best in my book. Just seems to fit better with what I feel brooms would look like in the world, or at least high end ones. Only problem with it, at least for me, is that I’m Slytherin, so a blue broom isn’t really my style, I wish I could change the colour of it, because it really is immersive in comparison to the other ones.
The silver arrow is my favorite broom, and I actually went out of my way early in the game to get it once I found out about it lol. Though it’s a shame that I get some lagging in my game for whatever reason, I think due to a recent update, so that takes away just a little bit of the enjoyment at times.
Love the silver arrow, looks are nice, plus madam hooch who taught flying in the series when looking at the fireball mentioned she learned to fly on one
I love the stars on Bright Spark, Sky Scythe designs and it's tip which looks like a scythe's blade. Silver Arrow's tip, the ember twigs of both Ember Dash and Wild Fire, and the Moon Trimmer most of all cause it's my 1st. Now just imagine if all those were merged together. *WHAT* and awesome broom that would b.
I really hope they make a mini dlc for brooms and other cosmetics like clothes and such. The brooms we got all look cool but as with the spells I hope we can get double or triple of them eventually. Maybe it was a good decision to only launch with this few spells and brooms or I guess it would be too overwhelming.
Nothing compares to the Silver Arrow. My reasons? It never obscures your vison with weird contrails. It is sleek, stylish, and depending your house, can be fangs menacing as a Slytherin, a rose thorn as a Hufflepuff, a Raven's Claw or A Majestic Talon for a Gryffindor . No one is stealing that broom. I have smashed every flying record with it and recommend no other.
Broom aesthetics are one thing but 100 years later the brooms are very different, some are faster than others, its a shame we don't get this here...then again we are riding the precursor to the more modern designs which are prob inspired by Albie's mods. Nice in-game brooms, just wish there was more variety, like Mad-Eye Moody's broom which was unusual but cool looking.
The amount of consideration put into the comfortability of each different seat when it is neither a thing that matters in the game or your own real ass sitting in it was cracking me up all video 😂 too bad there’s not a cooler broom in the game then the starting ember one. It was a cool starting point but they needed to have some super badass top end brooms that top that one or give them stats that make them feel that way
My first broom is the Moon Trimmer. Since I thought that as for my starter broom, I needed to focus more on stability. After using it to travel through the Dark Forest at night, it is very convenient and cool-looking.
The night dancer broom is my favorite. The design is awesome, and doesn’t have any oddities trailing behind like the new purple borealis or black lightning 🌩 broom.
The night dasher looking like a Nimbus is exactly why I wanted it. In fact, I think it’d be really cool if they added the movie brooms as either free or paid DLC. They’d be non cannon of course. Just like how Spider-Man 2018 game got the movie spider suits.
I did choose the Moon Trimmer as my starter, and for me the Ember Dash was the one i almost picked. I preferred the simplicity of it, and after seeing all the other brooms i dont think ill be replacing it during this playthrough.
I have to agree that the Lucky Star is a very anti-climatic reward for the balloon popping challenge. I like the Sky Scythe and Silver Arrow best, even though it takes a while to afford them. Before that I usually ride the Night Dancer as soon as I unlock it, and pretty much forget the rest. My first ever broom was a Wind Wisp! That said, I've done play throughs starting with each of Albie's cheap brooms, and my current fave of those is the Yew Weaver. I don't think they're bad, but I'm just not that struck on the burning broom designs.
I'll never play this game even for 1 minute, but I'm happy for you and the channel about the amount of clicks and I think that's the least you deserve. I'll still watch this, even though nothing will factually help me here. I'll stay for the quality and entertainment.
Wow, I really appreciate that! Please don't feel obliged to watch something that offers little to no value to you though the fact that you still feel it's worth watching means a lot. I will continue to strive and create continually better and higher quality content for as long as I can
I really love Night Dancer, the design is simple yeat it got character. Gaining it as a reward felt so special. only thing i don't like about it is the lack of a lantern on the front, those Lanterns really improve the mood while flying at night
The ember dash and wildfire brooms have been the only ones I've used so far and I'm on my third playthrough. I definitely think I'll be getting some of these other brooms! The kick back on the wildfire when I stop is getting a little annoying. I don't know what broom I'm using right now but it has cute wisps and star-like features coming out of the bristles when I fly. It's sort of cute and I like it! I think I will be saving up for the one with the cauldron on the front; I use an awful lot of potions.
I love the Amber Dash, but I thought it a fire hazard at first, though it's grown on me. One part, in the colder looking seasons, I like the idea that it helps my girl stay warm.
All brooms customizations are purely comestics. The only thing that changes the speed are the upgrades. The devs said so in the second gameplay showcase 3 months before the game came out
I really would like to have stat options on brooms. Saddlebags for extra gear capacity, silver arrow for max speed, night dancer for max movement etc. Unfortunately they are totaly equal but the cosmetics and it feels like a huge potential has been wasted.
I would love the broom that's on the bottom right of the display when you go into the shop that's on your left before you talk to the npc. In my opinion that's the best looking in the game. But the last one or your number 1 is a close second.
The Lickety split... the front looks more like the toy Poppy has in her night drawer (don't ask how I know). Also, one of the witches told me the firebolt broom seat is actually not a real seat.... it's the tongue of a troll. Enjoy your flying! 😜
Wild Fire broom was the second broom I got, after the House broom. I was like, "Whoa, I wonder what other awesome brooms there are!" But unfortunately, I already had the best one. It would have been cool to have some other brooms with cool light effects, like lightning, sunbeam - or even an ash/smoke broom so you could fly around like the Wicked With of Oz. I'm sure a DLC or sequel will have better options. Plus Quidditch. Oh please let there be Quidditch.
After I figured out how to open those eyeball chests haha I got all the diggeridoos I need, plus I got the Ember Dash broom which is the coolest looking one as my first broom and after seeing them all here, no need to change it
Personally my favorite is the Sky Scythe broom, yeah it’s expensive but once I’ve been exploring for a bit and finding stuff to sell, money wasn’t an issue for me. The broom looks very nice and it’s perfect for my Slytherin character.
The Bright Star is one of my favorites. The Wildfire Broom isn't that great to me. I like simplicity and less effects messing with my vision on screen during gameplay.
Moon trimmer has been my pal since the start (I own the other brooms, I just don’t want to switch) so while I’ve spent an awful amount of galleons on other brooms, I’ve only ever actually used one.
Ember Dash is my favourite. I don’t like the weird movements the front of the Wild Fire does, it looks a bit like… a third leg. I hope it is a bug which is fixed.
I haven't unlocked all of them yet, but so far I agree (mostly) with you- I like your top three a lot, but I don't like the look of the extra long handle on the Wild Fire, and as a stealthier wizard, I prefer the unlit brooms. My favorites are the Ember Dash, my top choice of the brooms sold at Spintwitches (I only bought the House broom out of House loyalty, despised the other ones there) and the Night Dancer. I just finally had enough Galleons to pay Arn for the Silver Arrow, but I don't like it as much as I thought I would. (I didn't spoil myself online, so I had no idea what any of the brooms would look like before I saw them in game.) I wish we could have the option of turning on and off any lights on the brooms, but what would be better is total customization, so we could design our own unique looks. Perhaps that could be a quest- partnering with Albie, we could seek out rare components, race different opponents than that awfully smug Slytherin, and get our perfect broom out of it.
My favorite °2 is the one with light lamp and bags in sides, a broom for a traveler, is like a bike And my favorite one by so far is the Old Generation clásic one... That is the broom of a witch.
Forgive me for posting this on a non cyberpunk related video. I just wanted to say your rankings on weapons and mods from Cyberpunk 2077 have been really helpful in my playthrough. I was wondering if you’ll ever do a video ranking the muzzle attachments for handguns and rifles? If not, then no worries! Keep up the great work and thanks for your help!
I just got the dark arts broom and stayed a solid dark arts person the whole game. After I fin story I switch to a treasure hunter look but kept the broom(didn’t have any others I liked and it’s cool af)
Thnx for the video, I was curious about what brooms are out there and how to get them. I got the 'Dark Lightning Broom', which was not in your list... I got it in Hogsmeade at Albie Weekes's store, think it was 5000 and my first broom. It's black and has purple with white "fire" coming out of the tail, surrounded by black "ghostly smoke". The broom itself looks quite simple and the tail is not very sleek but I really like the eerie theme, color and effects
If only they added a couple of stats to brooms, like top speed, accelleration and handling, it would give players a reason to purchase different brooms besides appearance.
Yeah it'd be cool to have differently balanced broom stats. Like an impossible to maneuver speed demon or something
I totally understand that but, as a beta tester, when you're asking for more functionality you're also asking for more granularity which means higher potential for more bugs, good for my business but bad for players. It was a cool starting point but they needed to have some super badass top end brooms that top that one or give them stats that make them feel that way
The Ember Dash Broom seems to be very popular.
You need more views
lots of ‘em.
Appreciate that guys! TH-cam never likes when you stray from your niche but expansion is necessary to grow the channel. Thanks for the support!
Yes
😂😂😂 we take out the Chinese spy balloons and get rewarded with brooms. Amazing.
"the chinese spy balloons" 😂😂😂😂
Enjoyable and informative. Much appreciated.
Glad you enjoyed it!
my favourite is the night dancer. mostly because of its simplicity and comfortable look.
Wild Fire is just a upgraded Ember Dash of course it’s goated
My favourite is the one with the stars! Looks so pretty!
I never even did the broom race quest. It’s still sitting in my log after completing the main storyline.
I have seen a few of ur Awesome video!! Thanks for all the info and all the help u give me. Tc have a great day
In the quidditch book it’s said that the brooms have an enchantment that makes all brooms more comfortable. It’s like a pillow of sorts
Video is high quality, hope you make it in the TH-cam game
Cheers! Really appreciate that!
I honestly didnt know where to get the other brooms until watching this. I havent bought any at other shops.
After I figured out how to open those eyeball chests haha I got all the diggeridoos I need, plus I got the Ember Dash broom which is the coolest looking one as my first broom and after seeing them all here, no need to change it
So the basket broom also drops peaches as you accelerate it looks like! That's fun
That's fair, perhaps I treated it too harshly. But finding the last cluster on that balloon popping just took me embarrassingly long 😭
Moon trimmer has been my pal since the start (I own the other brooms, I just don’t want to switch) so while I’ve spent an awful amount of galleons on other brooms, I’ve only ever actually used one.
The Night Dancer is my favorite broom because of how sleek and orderly it is. There’s not a single unappealing thing about the broom.
thank you so much i was wondering how do you collect all the brooms!!
Glad I could help!
Great video as always. Hope your Hogwarts Legacy stuff catches on. It's a great game, and also the one that I need more help with. 😁
Thanks, glad it's helpful. Hoping with a few more videos uploaded it'll be a nice foundation for new players
Sky Scythe was for my Slytherin play though, it looked dope
Makes sense. Defo most fitting for a Slytherin. That green stripe is a pretty unique feature among the brooms
My favorite °2 is the one with light lamp and bags in sides, a broom for a traveler, is like a bike
And my favorite one by so far is the Old Generation clásic one...
Glad that they've been helpful! And yes I absolutely do. That's gotten quite a few requests and I have it down on my list of videos to get to soon
I would've liked a Broom Similar to Mad Eye Moody's where you can sit back and put your feet up as you fly haha
