So I know there's a couple specimens who were sadly disqualified, but I know some people still want me to talk about em, so here's my thoughts on them!
Clown - Great little friend! Creepy looking but ultimately harmless. He's just fun to have around. The reason I included him in the Otto segment is because he appears in Otto's locale, thus he is the one good thing about Otto.
Scare Chair - Feels more like a creepy easter egg to me than a proper Specimen, but definitely a really cool visual experience. As somone who has worked on games, sometimes you get the urge to add something cool for the sake of it, and thats what Scare Chair feels like to me.
Security Guard / Karamari Monster 1 - A bit on the generic side. There's nothing SUPER special about him, but I like that he just stands there when you first encounter him. It's a nice way of faking out the player.
Frenzy - Probably the coolest specimen to miss this list! She shows up so suddenly and is probably one of the most startling Dollhouse encounters. It really is a shame she doesn't appear in endless mode, cause she's REALLY cool.
Nightmares - Cool enemies for the VERY specific section of the game that they appear in. They're neat but I'm honestly glad they're relegated to just that specific section.
gotta ask, if you were to add everything you didnt talk about to that final ranking list at the end, where would all these ones (and the husks) be?

The thing with Tirsiak is that the creator said "Fuck it, I wanna make something cute instead of something terrifying", and I can respect that.
It’s so jarring, that it’s spooky in its own way.
Reminds me of fnaf world. So even though it can be overlooked and be called a bad decision. I respect if people get tired of mak8ng scary things and want to just make one cute thing

I had used this quote for the first time a few days before wambu posted the video. Dumb humor always wins.
@@plaidhatter1674 It's not humor though? Fear of the unknown is something a lot of modern horror games, especially in the AAA space, are lacking.
Some ppl will blame the idea that definitive answers are less interesting or scary than the imagination or lack of knowledge. But I think a bigger part of why keeping things ambiguous are better than answering is cuz there’s some things in this world that are undefinable. For example, the pain of being killed or tortured. The pain of being abused over a long period of time is an experience that cannot be understood by others. By giving an “answer”, it’s like trying to define that experience. A lot of ppl dismiss the pain of others, but horror is often about the limits of ppl and pain. So the lack of answers is the best way to encapsulate that experience.
Probably explaining it badly but not defining things is a core part of the horror experience. And it’s more realistic to life.

I know monster 2s backstory is just a bit but the idea of a guy completely giving up on life and willingly climbing into a cursed body bag which effectively kills him without killing him is actually pretty good and goes well with the humour of the game.
Also the bodybag wiki has already updated with the new backstory and it is amazing.

51:42 I don’t know why this joke made me crack up the most. It’s probably the genuine confusion and concern in Spooky’s voice at the end before it gets cut off, that’s so good
One potential way I can think of to make ghost cow more of a threat is maybe to make him in some way screw with your controls.
Either at random he can force you to move in a certain direction (say you're running forward and then suddenly you're forced to walk to the left for about a second) or if that's too much he can reverse your controls for a period of time and then switch it back to normal throughout the chase.
Makes him more dangerous, especially around other specimens, and takes advantage of his mind control concept in gameplay
I saw a review of the Alex’s caves mod for Minecraft, and one of the enemies forces your view, into theirs. Both enemies have a theme of Messing with your mind, and the cow has sort of a theme of eyes
Or make it so if you swing at Ghost Cow with the axe it just hurts you instead. Like Ghost Cow took control of you for a second and directed the axes swing back to you.

One idea could be to generate fake specimens to trick you. Ghost Cow manipulates your mind, so it'd make some sense to trick you into thinking you're about to fight another specimen when in reality it isn't there.
Or when it hits you it brings you back to the start or teleports you to a random spot on the maze
Like its making you forget where you are
I love the back-and-forth between the two ghosts, it gives me a hilarious internal image of two ghosts talking about the various monsters in the haunted house they inhabit and getting into a deep discussion about the nuances of evil creatures.
Like, while watching an animatronic otter rip an intruder apart with solid metal claws, one of them offhandedly comments
"Yeah this one could be improved upon."
Even better if the intruder looks equally as underwhelmed by Otto even as he's ripping them apart.
"Really little ghost girl? *This* was the best you could come up with to kill me‽ You're lucky I'm already way too tired to keep running."

Was not at ALL prepared for Akuma Kira to show up and stick around for the whole ranking but I’m so glad they did. You two have such good chemistry and played off each other so gahd dam well. I think there had to have been a way to communicate this without compromising the chase sequence, but I really like the idea of Ghost Cow being intensely dangerous in the ability to manipulate others, but being *easy to stop otherwise.* He can destroy someone's mind, making up for how weak he himself is.
Ghost Cow should buff the other specimens if they're active at the same time
would be really cool if you randomly turned around for no reason, that would mess you up
Maybe every so often it flips around your controls and gains a quick burst of speed. On endless mode getting your controls flipped while you're dealing with the other specimens would be hell

One detail we love about Ghost Cow is the room you find them in, essentially in K.H.
It's a maze, a labyrinth if you will. This not only connects to the idea of you being in the maze that is your brain, but also a reference to the minotaur from Greek Myth, who was a villain in some big stories.

Wambu and Spooky's dynamic feels like a brother and sister duo bickering/genuinely discussing one of their favorite topics condensed into an hour long TH-cam video. No joke one of the best character dynamics I've seen, some genuine podcast material right there (If they actually do and don't name it Spookboo, I'm gonna riot).

Hear me out, it would probably be a pain in the ass to do, but a full ranking of EVERY specimen from the game all together, to see how the base game and extra stack against each other, but to also get out any other talking points you might have about old specimens,(aka, how they made deer gods chase way better)
But that would be a massive pain so I understand if you never do this

14:14 As said in live chat, yeah, most people in the community generally try to pretend the episode doesn't exist. The show, creators, and community have developed a lot since the early days of season one, and it's severely unlikely there will ever be an episode like this ever again.
I got nothing for the other guy, though, dunno what his deal was.
Like Rebecca he got very popular at a young age and while he did get better than Rebecca in his life, “the mistake” as some refer to the episode is still a remnant of that time in the internet, one I’m glad death battle has moved on from even when they being combatants like chuck Norris and Randy savage.
Man, I'm glad people have realized she was literally just a kid and all. It just sucks no one really did that back then. She's a whole rabbit hole in and of itself but, she's since honed her talents to release her first album last year! It's not bad either, but it's really great to see her continue to pursue her talent and improve!
Oh yeah, that part of Death Battle and YT as a whole was really ugly. Honestly though that episode scared me as a kid for whatever reason.

On the topic of Otto:
Considering the fact Kira wasn't into Fnaf at the time Otto was added (and i doubt they are now), it makes sense he's just a really bare bones extra specimen. The main reason he was added, was because people were kinda annoying them about adding a Fnaf Rep, not to mention it was back when Fnaf was obnoxiously popular, so the pressure to just make a walking middle finger was pretty huge.
But now, when the heat died down, maybe in potential future update they'll make him a lil bit more of a threat, make him damage you more or speed him up a bit. Just so Otto would feel more like an actual animatronic imo, because god could he honestly one. They can still keep him as a joke, just give him some new life.
Honestly the idea I had was that on rechases the body cracks open and a mess of wires with a broken otter head speeds after you
If Ghost Cow deserves the Deer Lord treatment then Otto deserves the Parasite treatment.
Basically, kill the original off to replace it with a more interesting specimen

i’ve thought of a second positive for otto: he’s basically a free chase. like if you roll otto on the rechase cycle then you’ve gotten away with not rolling someone more dangerous or time consuming, like lisa. extra good early on when there are less specimens chasing, and a lucky breather later.

This is definitely my new favorite video of yours. It's cool that you're friends with a game developer. I know there was a lot of joking involved, but I do want to say something as a fellow overthinker.
The idea that Spooky corrupts everything around her just from existing is freaking horrifying, depressing, and kind of makes sense in a way. She is a ghost, after all. Perhaps her negative feelings about her untimely death resulted in further perversion of both the staff and test subjects. From other people, to animals, to sources of media, to even her friends. The secret game that shows her backstory seemingly implies that Spooper was someone she knew before everything went downhill. Way to make me see the entire game in a whole new light.
Ngl, It took me YEARS to realized that Becca is basically the most unintentional joke monster created, that's actually freaking terrifying. Cus once you realized she's a reference to Rebecca Black's "Friday", the irony sinks in.
In the hospital, she one shots you cus f-ck you. But in endless mode, she's "F-ck you to the 9" to make Endless mode challenging
Edit: Also, we're gonna acknowledge that the endless mode specimens are either "Kira ripped them from their actual games cus they likes them" or "Can I copy your homework?" With only one being an absolute joke (Otto). Although to be fair, Otto is in the same camp as Tis, cus asides Spooper ripping off 10 somewhat, he's more of a "huh?!?!?!"

As someone who has never played Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion (or really any horror games), nothing made my jaw drop more than number 1's kill method. That moment of "what the actual fuck" was so powerful. Because jfc I thought it was just poison gas or asphyxiation, not... THAT. And from THAT innocuous of a design!

Something that might be a cool idea for Ghost Cow's chase would be implementing the blackouts into the locale! Like, you look at the room number, and it's significantly higher than it should be, by 20-30, potentially even skipping elevators. After a little more buildup, like remnants of dead Husks, body parts on the floor, and spawning next to exit doors, he starts to appear, and what does he make you forget?
He makes you forget *the UI*. You can't see your health, the room number, your stamina, or even your axe. You're left to only be able to trust your own intuition.
Also make it so you can knock him back with the axe but can't kill him, I think that's fair

My personal take on BodyBag goes as follows: BodyBag isn’t a real thing. It’s a hallucination brought on by the fear and betrayal felt by the patients of Karamari Hospital while Ghost Cow was in control of the staff. Taking a form so perfectly ordinary to the staff they paid it no mind. Just another corpse in the morgue. As more and more residents are made to suffer their mistreatment the faster and more vengeful this amalgamated spirit becomes. Without any staff left to torment it can only stew, only fester, unable to move on. Then comes the visitors thanks to Spooky. More victims to fuel its rage.
In Body Bag's chase, (at least in Karamari Hospital,) the player has infinite stamina, likely hinting towards the player having an out of body experience while in the morgue.
A little food for thought: There’s a lot of World War II influence in Spooky’s. What are dead soldiers brought back home in? Body bags.

I just wanna voice how much I appreciate this video. Just like Wambu said in the previous countdown of SJSM, I avoided this game myself due to the name. But liking Wambus content, I still watched that video. I dont know WHAT it was about that video but it completely flipped my opioion on it, had me looking up secrets and easter egg videos which I NEVER do for games, even watched his interview too. So seeing THIS video, coming back to this game on Wambus channel while ALSO having Spooky herself as a 2nd host just... it feels perfect

Honestly, it takes more integrity to keep that Death Battle up lol. A horrible blemish on a mid series (Then season 8, 9 and 10 happened and were absolutely peak and went so hard.
