- In this Tutorial, Stephen Curry explains how to properly set up your shooting form, In addition to the number of repetitions and spots on the floor where you should practice. He will also discuss the mentality needed to recover from bad shooting games and how to trust your form and confidence. Stephen Curry is on track to being the NBA's all time leader in three pointers made and is a 2-time MVP, scoring champion and 3 time NBA champion.

“ We want to be shot makers, not shot takers.”
- Stephen Curry
u gotta be a shot taker to be a shot maker tho. kobe said "i'd rather go 0-for-30 than 0-for-9 because going 0-for-9 means you stopped shooting, which means you lost confidence in yourself."
that is what hit me right away when he said that
@@zacharycho946 who a better shooter Steph or Kobe
@@zacharycho946 Wouldnt you also want to be known to be a shot maker not a shot taker? You’re taking it too literal
@@zacharycho946 that was dion waiters
Look at curry man so inspirational
Lol love flight
lol rebound
@@crackmc2007 lolllllllll so trueeeee
XD
HONESTLY
"how do you practice efficiently when you don't have anyone to rebound for you? just shoot it so the ball goes straight back to you" 😭
Elite😂😂
Easy as that.
this is how to develop the soft touch
What is a rebound?
@@lutfialsaghir8156 a rebound is when like when curry misses a shot someone in the paint catches the ball.
“The worst thing a basketball player can do is to start in the gym firing threes away”
Kids learn from the greatest shooter in history. Master the basics.
That happens too often now people try to skip steps to build range
@@TheKonnorMacShow I def learned the hard way as a kid cuz my form was atrocious
@@TheKonnorMacShow yes brother. Never skip the process
@@TheKonnorMacShow Second part Curry please!
@@TheKonnorMacShow
.
The fact that he intentionally made the shot hit the back of the rim twice on purpose is amazing.
Nah that's so crazy 🤯
My man said don’t leave the gym until you get better. That hit hard.
reminds me of someone RIP MAMBA 🐍
Trust me last scene that curry missed his shot took 1 hour to miss his shot.
Yeah they had to put a miss in just so it gives the rest of us some hope lol
Lol.
@@TheKonnorMacShowSteph missing is one of the most shocking things ever. It doesn't even make sense because how great of a shooter he is. LoL, Even in games, I legit think every shot he shoots is going in.
Mans gonna be a great coach someday or broadcaster. He speaks concisely and has one of the strongest work ethics in the league.
Yeah some great players cant always explain to others how to improve in a simple manner, these videos are really easy to understand even for someone new to the game and sport
I dont leave till i finish my goal. Started with making 3 free throws in a row before leaving. Next time 3 three pointers in a row before leaving and i ended with 5 straith 3s. Practice makes perfect🔥
Love to hear it!
He said he shoots 100 THREES after every workout....and people wonder why his shot is so good. It's called COMMITMENT TO YOUR CRAFT.
Quality too. being committed doesn’t matter if you’re building bad habits day in and day out
It's crazy to think about the next generation of point shooter hybrids that Steph has inspired. The NBA is gonna be wild in the future.
Yeah i think its gonna be another 5-7 years before we see someone come close to the same volume + efficiency combo from three
@@TheKonnorMacShow im coming🕊
imagine someone shooting from the opposite three point line in the future haha
@@vp2415 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
honestly we wont see another one like him for at least 10 yrs.. you see he had to soot as well as he did. because hes shorter… why would someone with build of kobe. mj . lebrn. zion. ever want to perfect a 3 point shot. when they can dominate the inside perimeter…
Impressive when you listening to him talking and looking at how he handle the ball at the same time it's very impressive. it's a little things but you can see how he always in control of the ball.
Plan on uploading some of his ball handling drills soon
I’m learning lots from watching basketball videos 🏀🏀 it’s keeping me busy and I’m practicing at home dribbling and shooting especially from curry 🔥
Keep it up! I'll try to post more from him soon.
@@TheKonnorMacShow I learned so much from him tbh a lot of footwork good mindset how to be a better person cause at one point I was in a dark place until I found basketball 🏀 I always watch curry
@@youngcree8080 Love to hear it man glad he is of inspiration to you. I have another Steph vid coming out in around 5 hours!
@@TheKonnorMacShow sounds good 👌🏼 I’ll check it out and absolutely a huge inspiration on me
What’s so excellent about this video, is I want to work in tech sales. How Steph is teaching the approach to being a sound shooter, is “mentally” equipping me to being a better salesperson in tech sales.
Love this glad you found a common message in the video! It’s very detailed and step by step easy to understand
Shooting GOAT 🐐 when he teach y’all listen 😤👍
Thank you Mr Curry for the advice and thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching !
Bro this ain’t curry that posted this lmao 🤣
@@arrowsaurus7561 he just saying thank you, ofc he knows it’s not him
Thank you so much Curry . You are my best basketball player!
Every word curry speaks is more valuable then every toe nail on my foot.
Steph you helped my shooting journey so much and I got so much better and Im in 7th grade right now and this past year was by far my toughest. My teammate who is a Power Forward and he had ankle injury and I ended the year my highest game was very impressive to my parents. Stats below!
7/12 3% 10/15 FG% 27 Points. 5 assists, 2 Rebounds and a steal!
(edit) I took 100 shots from the end of this past season and I went 57/100
Now about 7 months later I am at about 75/100 just because of reps!
Awesome to hear man keep up the good work!
Awesome!!!
Hellooo
How well are you doing now ?
great speech you are my inspiration👏👏👏
This video is so beneficial and informative. Thank you for uploading this viedeo!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This breakdown is 100/100 and he is the only one who said in on point this is such a great video for persons like me who is struggling in shooting, easily discouraged, firing in 3s without warm up, no idea how to shoot alone, no idea how to get 100. I aint a fan of him before but I am now. All respect for the greates shooter of all time ❤️
This is definitely a good video for me to get better at shooting and all my skills
Love it man! Keep the videos coming!

Great one Stephen, thank you so much, let’s focus now! ;)))
The trap of comparing my shot and handles to all the mvps is EXACTLY what happened to me. Now I know the way I shoot dosent matter.
Him hitting the back of the rim on purpose was surgical AF
Favorite part of the video lol

I learnt so much and I don't mean basketball (I last played in school nearly 20 years ago). I was actually blessed by the wisdom in the principles that can be transferred to everyday life. I pray that God continues to supply and multiply grace in Stephen's life and in that of his family and friends and all that watched this video, in Jesus' name.
Thank you Stephen for allowing God to use you the way He is and thank you TheKonnorMacShow for posting this excellent free lesson.

I respect for curry, I could never be able to shoot like him. Not ever, my brain not wired the way his brain is. And i think he was born with it.
Skills and intuition!
For me at least, it's about practice but you need to be smart about how you practice. I like to run a mile and then shoot tress while tired because then I will build the conditiong to shoot with tired legs. I also like to shoot at a very fast speed so in game I will have a fast release.
You always should try to practice at game speed because you won’t have as much time to get shots off against better competition
nice video!!!!!new sub :)

The game in the Finals against Celtics when Curry went 0-9 Three pointers makes me feel ok when i miss. Cant believe all the easy layups pros miss sometimes. Just rewatched the Thunder vs Warriors legendary game and Anderson Verejao seriously plays worst then me and plenty other non professional players. Strait up liability!!
