    It feels like more new players than ever are trying to process the game on more than a "press every button and move on in a month" level. The vets have been getting better and better at teaching and it shows.

    one reason your 1 jab is considered your best move for every character is because its good in all 3 of these categories. Your jab is your fastest move, so it can intercept people pretty well. It doesnt cover much space, but its difficult to punish because it recovers fast. If they are doing moves that recover quickly, jab being your fastest move makes it good for punishing small whiffs at close range. And if theyre playing passively waiting for whiffs, the jab gives you slight advantage on guard and major advantage on hit, so you can use it to pressure them and set up bigger attacks.

    The thing I really like about this is: players from a wide range of skill-levels, newcomers to Tekken from other FGs, or even complete beginners (that are willing to learn) can understand and apply this framework. So many people can benefit from either familiarizing or refreshing themselves on these ideas. Very focused, well-articulated presentation. Looking forward to possibly more!
    Also kudos to the editor syncing up the music at 6:09 idk if that was intentional or not, but it hit!!

    Would love more content like this. The very basics and character guides are of course cool and necessary- but deeper concepts like this is so much more valuable to the intermediate crowd in the long run.
    Ps you were awesome during the Twt 2023 finals. Made me look you up on yt and I'm glad I did. Thundaga!

    The best advice people can get on this game always comes from abstract ideas like this. They always want to emulate combo videos, and not think about the theory behind the game. As always, you are the best, my dude.

      @AirLancer 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It doesn't help that at low levels, throwing out launchers and knowing a BnB or two will beat a lot of people. People aren't punishing correctly, and they're not matching your own damage output if you have a proper combo and they don't.
      When they finally run into someone that'll kill them for that playstyle, either they start the long road of improvement, or they complain about tryhards lol.

    A lot of the concepts you explained here remind me of how kof is supposed to be approached, in terms of the rps behind approaching/waiting in neutral. Might have to give tekken a shot!

    I've read an article about Sansukumi before but this is a great visualizer for it.
    Well explained and directed at multiple levels of play but easy to understand for some real newcomers to the series, good work on this shit.

    Internally, i had some of this knowledge just sitting inside of my brain when I started playing the game and I had to adapt to it to see how can I enter my attacks. But the prism structure and your explanations make it way easier to learn on how to actually use this knowledge I already had from the ruff experience. Thanks

    It's interesting how you can kind of pick up these concepts sort of half formed by just playing a lot. You sort of realise you've been kinda doing some of these things but not totally understanding your choices. Or using the wrong option not knowing there are moves specifically designed for those choices.
    Always good to get breakdowns to help you with intent. Sometimes I forget and just mash and panic

    Sorta offtopic but you could try out these settings, my pc isn't the greatest but i manage to run the game at a solid 60 with these settings:
    Shadow and Post-Processing on Medium, everything else in Low (Could try lowering each if pc not strong enough) | Upscaling set to "TSR" and Rendering Scale at 50. You can increase or lower the Rendering Scale depending on your setup but it should look and run equally as good with just that.

    As someone who barely dipped his toes in late T7 and didn't exactly know what to do well, I find this incredibly useful to get a feel of the game itself rather than the characters or combos and whatnot. Is there a chance for subtitles in Spanish like you did in previous ones?
