- In most RTS games, the statistics of the units are available next to the unit's icon in the interface. However, there are occasions where you do not have a clue about the stats of the units through the game and Red Alert is one of those games.
In this video you can have see and compare the statistics of all the infantry units in the game. Those statistics are explained below.
Cost: How many resources a unit needs.
Build Time: How much time a unit needs to be recruited.
Tier: There are 3 tiers in the game. The higher the tier the more structures a unit requires in order to be available for training.
Tier 1 are units that are available without building anything else rather than the Barracks.
Tier 2 usually require Airport/Radar/Psychic radar
Tier 3 usually require a Battle Lab.
Damage: The amount damage of a unit deals per hit.
Attack Range: The maximum range of a unit that it can attack from.
Cooldown: The time a unit needs to re-attack again. The lower the number, the faster the unit attacks.
Hit points: The health of a unit.
Armor: The type of armor a unit has. There are three types of armor for infantry. None, Flak, Plate.
None means the unit has no armor and will not resist any damage.
Flak offers some better protection and plate is the best armor for infantry which greater protects from bullets.
Sight Range: How far a unit can see.
Speed: The move-speed of a unit.
Some units have also some extra abilities like self-heal and deploy.
A list of pros and cons is also shown in the video which may offer some valuable information.
You get the Chrono Commando by using a Spy in an Allied Battle Lab.
You get the Chrono Ivan by using a Spy in a Soviet Battle Lab.
You get the Psi Commando by using a Spy in Yuri's Battle Lab.
You get the Yuri Prime in Red Alert2 by using a Spy in a soviet Battle Lab while also playing as Soviet.
I can't be sure that every single stat is correct but for the most part they must be right.

That's not ironic. I can easily say that the one coming out of the cloning vat isn't a TRUE Yuri since he is the product of the cloning vat, not the Unit Building. If you say that it's ironic because Yuri Prime can be replaced with another Yuri Prime after he dies, then I might accept that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yuri Prime is a direct clone of the true Yuri, where as the Yuri Clone is the clone of a prime clone. This is done to confuse the enemy.

Udo Kier did SUCH an amazing job as Yuri, God. I love every single quote but the one on this video? Shivery.
Note about SEALS, at sergeant level of veterancy, they are actually somewhat effective against main battle tanks assuming they can’t be run over, they are far from great, but they do steady damage
Tanya can C4 them, Boris can directly shoot them and Yuri can control them. the SEALs are not as mobile as vehicles
@@SantomPh never said they were, but you’d be surprised how many people I encounter that want to know who wins in tank destroyer seal gun battles and the like, they have gotten a reputation of being somehow worthless against tanks when that’s not the case, not even close

For the benefit of anyone who doesn't know, the Chrono Commando and Chrono Ivan are obtained by infiltrating an Allied Battle Lab.
Chrono Ivans are obtained by infiltrating a Soviet Battle Lab and Psi Commandos are obtained from Yuri Battle Labs.

I didn't realize Boris was immune to mind control. I don't recall any mention of that in the campaign but it honestly does make sense so that he is balanced with the other hero units from the other factions

The GIs really kick ass,if I'm not wrong in the original red alert two if it was an elite it could attack a Tesla cannon without dying.,but I think it was changed in the expansion

I think he meant, Tesla Coil. I'm not sure about the range against t2 defenses but veteran GI can outrange t1 defenses if they are deployed

FYI Chrono Ivan is a Soviet Unit. If playing as Soviets and you are able to capture a spy or an allied barracks getting these is one of your first priorities.
Still Chrono Commandoes were my favorite units, get this inside an enemy base and you can dismantle it in seconds.
I sort of wish there was a Tiberium Sun vs Red Alert 2 mod.
There was a total conversion mod for Generals called All Stars where each faction represents a different C&C series, you can play Red Alert vs Tiberium in that.

I have no idea what “deactivate bomb” is for Engineer, and Cosmonaut is also available for Allies as long as you play that special moon landing skirmish map.

The best infantry to pick out from each factions is : Sniper, yuri clone, cosmonaut
-Sniper : early game harrassment, if you get him in a IFV and have good micro skill, he is pretty much broken, and he counter all infantry in every factions
-yuri clone : BEST DISABLE IN THE GAME, LITERALLY ONE SHOT EVERYTHING (but still counter by the sniper and robo tank), if your main mind controlled unit got killed, he will instantly shift to the next target
-cosmonaunt : flying advantage, cannot be countered by the sniper, and cannot be mind controlled, laser deal decent damage
(If you ask me why the sniper is so good while he doesn't have the ability to counter tank units is because most of the tank units in the game is pretty much useless against infantry, just try to get the grizzly tank to shoot someone, it took about 10 shot )
Will you be making a video on the special units like the PSI Commando, Chrono SEAL and Chrono Ivan and how to obtain them? I know that you get the Commando if you infiltrate the Soviet tech lab, but I had no idea that there were special Chrono units. And how do you get Yuri Prime in the base game? I've been playing this game since 2001, so these things are huge news for me...

I've mainly played vanilla RA2 so I was both right and wrong about the PSI Commando, I'm right since you can get him in the vanilla game by doing what I said in my earlier comment. The reason for why I didn't know about the Chrono units, except for the Legionnaire of course, is because I play as the Soviets 80% of the time and Yuri/Epsilon 15% of the time and the Allies 5% of the time (this is a rough estimate, btw), so I haven't played around with spies that much. Thank you for letting me know, though!

Interestingly, as far as I remembered my last playthrough of a skirmish map in Red Alert 2... I happened to unlock Yuri Prime while playing as Allied Forces. Yes, you need a Spy to infiltrate a Soviet Battle Lab and you get a Psi Commando...
...but I think that when you are lucky enough to get a Soviet MCV and build up a Soviet base, you can get Yuri Prime unlocked.
I guess that, you just need a Soviet Barracks ready when you have the Spy infiltrate a Soviet Battle Lab. It doesn't necessarily have to be that your primary army is the Soviet Union. You can do this as the Allies; just be lucky enough to take hold of a Soviet MCV or base.

The PSI Commando can mind control civilian vehicles on the map to use as bargain cannon fodder, spy drone, and a car bomb with Crazy Chrono Ivan.
But , boris can destroy structures very easy because of the MIGs , the only thing that can delay the MIGs are the gattling cannons

Mental Omega ruined vanilla RA2/YR for me, it's like playing the inferior version of it.

Not me, I love both versions.
Mental Omega was designed from scratch to be a complete overhaul and rewrite of RA2/YR and beyond. And frankly, I'm tired of watching Soviet online games that only consist of Rhino/Flak spams because that's the ONLY viable strategy in vanilla RA2 online.
It's kinda a bummer that only Allied have infiltration unit... At least Mental Omega mod gives Soviet and Yuri their own version of Spy
I havent played this game for more than 15 years.. really missed it and ts/tsf. But theres something that bogs me. I remembered there was a unit that u could acquire using a spy, a stolen tech unit in other words. Well, I cant seem to recall the name but it was something like cyborg. It shoots plasma balls like a cyborg commando in ts. The only difference is its a reddish flame ball and on a vet one it'll be upgraded into a very powerfull blue colored one. Oh, the projectile also makes an explosion effect like an apocalypse tank when it hits the target. Does anybody know what im talking about?

@@tsiripas tq for the quick reply. But thats the mystery, as I said before, I played this game way long ago.. I was around 15 - 17 when I last played this game. Im almost 32 now. It was still not far away from the year it was released. so I dont think there were any mods yet at the time. And obviously im just a dumb, innocent young teenager that juz love games. not some techwise guy u know. It was still either win 98 and 2000 whenever I played this game. Oh, and bought the cd... although i cant remember if this was in an ori cd or a pirated one. My father used to have a cybercafe back in the little town that I used to grew up. Im in Malaysia
@@tsiripas I still remember vividly testing that special unit in a map that got the cloning vet like building that you need to capture first. Trying to rank up all those units to try and make an army of super soldiers. But it ended up in a disaster because they were to op... their attacks also have a splash effect. So everytime a horde of enemy attacks that includes some agile units and manage to get close enough to those sup soldiers.. there will be a nasty friendly fire.. man all those time it took to rank them up.. but it was reallly fun haha
Ohh man.. im going crazy coz of this. I checked ur vid. U mean uragan right? Thats not the 1. I played it in normal not a moded. Or at least I think it is. I cant find anything bout it by quick searching in google also. Dammit.. is anybody out there know what im talking bout? Could it be existed only in the early version, and removed after by any chance? Or maybe its a special char for certain distribution? Is there like a limited edition version before? I cant get this out of my head... I really wish I could turn back time to proof that im not imagining things...
Another characteristic that I could remember was either factions, soviet or allied could get this unit. The only difference was the skin colour. If im not mistaken, if u chose allied and infiltrated the soviets, ull get a black/grey + red and if its vice versa it should be metallic/white + blue.. I cant remember which building u should target to acquire it. or does need a specific steps.. wait, can a spy target a barracks?

Chrono ivan can make enemy buildings disappear if you can take down defences. He takes time to eliminate the building. Therefore while he is taking down a building he will get killed very easily.
if enemy use massive prism tank or grand cannon. jump them in middle of those tanks and see miracle there

The appropriately name Apocalypse Tank is war in a cann. It can withstand any ground or air units due to it's very strong armour. It is expected to be the last unit standing.

You can easily do that in the last mission of allied campsign

I'll give you one bug info I faced while playing against ai, let your energy reactors drained by floating disc
Start building nuclear reactors, at some point, you should have energy and floating disc shouldn't be capable of leaving you with no power.
No sorry, I would not do any video demonstrating bugs. This would only help players abuse them and ruin games that are currently running online.
