And in those times Legends like Carl whose only passion is to make his dream come true were born.... i mean it's quite sad.... people at that time with minor resources used to create revolutionary things and now with the presence of everything humans have became dull. This proves what a single person can do if he really gets into his interest and think only about that... 🔥 That's why inventions are only things of past and not now
The car wouldn’t be without Gottlieb Daimler his apprentice Maybach. Benz bought up their invention or let’s say was the investor? But the real deal were those two men
Used to now they just wait for the man to cross the finish line. Bertha supported him with his idea. You don't get women like that no more (No more Queens)

I've taken many trips to far away lands in search of new tech stories and to see anyone who had started from nothing and was able to change the minds of others is a greatness not to ever be loss. With this I feel it would be a greater loss if it wasn't for this and other posting videos. Rumbering the great people of the past.
The birthplace of Carl Benz was torn down in the 1950s to make room for more cars (yes, the irony). Still, a small correction: It wasn't the town of Mühlberg, but Mühlburg, which is a district in the city of Karlsruhe (the difference being one character or 350 miles). Karlsruhe was the birthplace of both the bicycle (Karl Drais) and the automobile (Carl Benz).
@@alanOHALAN well, this was not a bike as you know it today. It had no chain and pedals and you pushed yourself forward with your feet, just like those "learning bikes" (sorry, I don't know the proper English word) for kids. It was called Draisine (in German) and it was the predecessor to what was later invented under the name bycicle.
We thank God for granting Karl Benz as The Father of Automobile & Bertha Ringer as The Mother of Automobile 🏆 👏 🥰... Incredible story! It’s always inspiring to see how someone can rise from humble beginnings to create something legendary like Mercedes-Benz.... Just incredible
Karl Benz, an engineer from Germany, is credited with creating the first practical automobile. He was not wealthy, but his dedication and innovation led to the creation of the Benz Patent-Motorwagen in 1886. This vehicle is often considered the first true automobile. Over time, Benz's company merged with Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft, founded by Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach, to form what is now known as Mercedes-Benz. The story of Mercedes-Benz is a testament to how innovation and perseverance can lead to groundbreaking achievements, even when starting from modest beginnings.

Thank you for your workYou mentioned that in 1908 the long distance trip to Moscow was started in Leningrad but I think prior to the October 1917 the city was called St. Petersburg.
16:00 the way that car just bounced off the wall from a 100% full frontal collision was actually pretty astonishing. Obviously deadly. But the construction and weight of that car is indisputably solid German steel.
Thanks to the vision of Karl Benz, a horse less carriage was created, and later became known as Daimler Benz, a horse less carriage was created and through different changes t o that buggy would be known as Mercedes Benz.
You've got a lot wrong. Nicholas August Otto created the first compressed charge vapor engine after 14 years of failure. The plant engineer and his assistant had different desires as to what to do with that engine. Otto's engines were huge and he had no interest in making an engine that could be used in transportation. So his plant Manager, Gottleib Daimler, and his assistant, Wilhelm Maybach took a 50 Million Gold Mark buy out and moved to Cannstadt where they created what is the engine used in most gasoline fueled vehicles today. Daimler and Maybach pioneered MOST of the major component technology that is necessary to build automobiles. Daimler's goal was to create a light, high speed engine that could be used for all forms of transport. In 1883 the first Explosion engine was finished. A few months later, Daimler and Maybach created a patent demonstrator which was the first vehicle with today's type of engine. It is patented as the Petroleum Reitwagen. A few months later Karl Benz created his 3 wheeler. And very soon after that Daimler/Maybach put their engine in the first 4 wheeled carriage. (1885) Daimler had a Heart Attack and died in 1900. The company had been turned into a STOCK COMPANY known as Daimler Gasmotoren Gesellschaft (DMG), and as happened to many Automotive pioneers (like Horch (Audi), Olds, and Ford) was thrown out of this own company. He was brought back secretly around 1898 to save the company. At one point the company was not doing very well. A Duke bailed them out under one condition. They must change the name on the cars DMG (now known correctly as Daimler Benz) to Mercedes Benz. Benz some years after Daimler/Maybach created the DMG company merged his company and the new company was given the name it carries now. Note that the Founders of the Automobile Industry in Germany did so under the Imperial German Nation. Neither Otto, or Daimler built the first automobile. Marcus built a crude one. in 1859 JJ Etienne Lenoir created an automobile engine that ran on Hydrogen, and later on liquid petroleum. He sold hundreds of engines, but was economically a failure. His invention was seen by Nicholas Otto, who built a better engine, and later after over 14 years got a compressed charge engine to work. It is Gottleib Daimler, the founder of what became Mercedes Benz with put engines in Cars, Truck, Dirigibles, Rail Cars, and Yachts. The world's largest Marine engines are somewhat descended from Daimler's work. Maybach, when recruited to work for Daimler, was an orphan, and a brilliant engineer. Like ALL companies in Germany after the National Socialist Party created a military dictatorship, you did as you were told, or were shot. Maybach engines were in Dirigibles and in German Tanks, etc.
You know whats crazy about this video , it make you realize that when benz wanted to make an engine motorcycle or a car , he didn't care about buying a luxury stuff , but he convinced the world that he's car is a luxury stuff and you should buy it , especially if you're an elite or u wanna look like one of them , so as a summary "focus on your craft" .
Behind every great man, there is a brilliant woman. I am not a great man but there is a brilliant woman by my side (not really beside me, my darling is at work) but you know what i mean. In my eyes a great man needs a fantastic woman to urge him on & to support what he needs to do. Gentlemen, without our wives, girlfriends or whatever bus you ride, we need them more than you think...........
@@VarunK-ii8eb "Behind every men its himself"? I do not understand! Firstly, men is plural of man & if men built it by "himself" that would mean they did it alone! It doesn't make sense in the English Language! My advice? Learn how to speak English before you type your stupid views.....

7:34 It's interesting how the pendulum of life always swings to the point it eventually has to return to where it started. Today we face a similar revolution, with lots of doubt, but also lots of promise. EV's are essentially going through the same hardships that Benz latest tech at the time went through. Many people forget that chapter in history and have the worst things to say about advancements that will soon change the way we live. It's all a matter of time I guess...
The difference is that EVs are being forced upon us despite not being nearly as reliable, versatile, and efficient as combustion engines at the moment. It's being pushed simply because of politics, and that's why most people don't care for EVs. If they weren't being forced, then people wouldn't have such an issue with them.
@@hhasslinger9601 I disagree. People in the US have this habit of looking at every single little situation through a political lens. And a very polarized lens at that. Those folks over 100 years ago also thought all of the same things you mentioned about Electric tech. They thought it was dangerous, inefficient, etc etc etc. They didn't want it. Why would they? Horses were working just fine! Petroleum is the heavy weight when it comes to the battle for support when it comes to Washington, DC. They have been putting dollars and buying politicians for ages. Electric threatens petroleum throne and all the money that they still want to make. But I digress. Just like Benz little engine that needed improvement (and was progressively improved until it became a force to be reckoned with), electrification is going through the same hardships. The difference is that we have the tools and know-how to evolve at an exponentially faster rate than we did a century ago. This is the positive difference I see with our current revolution. And I know not everyone can or wants to agree with this trend, but I really do believe that soon we'll have it figured out and it will prompt developments in more efficient electrification of everything, from homes and commercial buildings, to even possibly planes one day.
@@djbis Again, the main issue people are having with EVs are that they are being forced from the government(s) (many other countries as well as the U.S.) Someday the EVs might become much better and may even replace the combustion engine, but we're not there yet. This is what makes these EVs different from when the engine was created. EVs are being forced on companies and citizens by the government, specifically under the idea of being "economically friendly", which we have learned isn't true at all, and in fact they are worse for the environment in certain cases. The combustion engine never did this to increase its popularity. Instead it just became easier and more efficient to have one.
great video, really enjoyed the storytelling! it's amazing how a humble beginning can lead to such incredible achievements. but i can't help but wonder if the focus on individual success overshadows the importance of systemic change in the industry. would love to hear what others think about that.

And in those times Legends like Carl whose only passion is to make his dream come true were born.... i mean it's quite sad.... people at that time with minor resources used to create revolutionary things and now with the presence of everything humans have became dull. This proves what a single person can do if he really gets into his interest and think only about that... 🔥 That's why inventions are only things of past and not now
not only created mercedes benz, he also invented a car
A car that changed the racing industry.💪 Amg
Yes sir 1885 first Mercedes-Benz first car ever made
"INVENTED THE CAR"
first car to win a Grand Prix
The car wouldn’t be without Gottlieb Daimler his apprentice Maybach. Benz bought up their invention or let’s say was the investor? But the real deal were those two men
His wife was a champion ⭐
It's nice knowing Mercedes-Benz is the FIRST car company, since Mercedes-Benz made the first "modern" car.
Behind every successful men there's always a brave women standing 👑
Used to now they just wait for the man to cross the finish line. Bertha supported him with his idea. You don't get women like that no more (No more Queens)
I wish to have such supportive wife....She took high risks with her son for her husband...That is what lack to these modern women,...commitment, dedication.
I was just about to comment this! ❤❤

Wrong. Men built it. Behind every succesful Man its himself.
Karlsruuuuuuhe
I didnt know the Germans invented bicycle. I know they have artistic bicycle sport.
@@thomasmai232 cool!
Great video with correct and full information absolutely loved it ❤️💯also big shout out to benz's wife who really supported him such a queen 👑🙌
Ahh the days when a Woman supported a Man!
We thank God for granting Karl Benz as The Father of Automobile & Bertha Ringer as The Mother of Automobile 🏆 👏 🥰... Without the determination of these 2 individuals along with the emergence thereafter of Gottlieb Daimler, Wilhelm Maybach & Emil Jellinek, we may still be relying on horses and steam power today 🤗 🤷♀️
Highly Agree with you.
Someone else wouldve invented it. Just a matter of time and luck
@@Passportbroski Seeing how humans evolved with time, this is very true indeed 👍... Benz, Ringer, Daimler, Maybach & Jellinek were those whom seized the opportunity of their respective moments despite the various obstacles they had to endure 👏 🏆
@@AtozatozatozI like your vocabulary
Bro,wtf.. I accet that she had a crucial role but it was him who created the car and the company
In the whole story Karl Benz is simply the KING of automobile world.
*This was absolutely amazing documentary very well done*
With a history of making cars dating back 140 years, Mercedes-Benz is renowned for its innovative technology, impressive design language, racing pedigree and luxury cars
Ireally love Mercedes Benz and
Am very happy to see this fantastic video 😁😁😀
Own a CLK550 convertible. I love it
May God almighty always bless women that shares the "dreams" of their husband, but never to destroy it !. Respect to Karl Benz's wife. Infact, she was such a courageous, powerful and dynamic woman to be reckoned with in the history of technological transformations. Kudos to the BENZ family!.
IT would have been nice to touch on the business and name change history from Daimler Benz to Mercedes Benz.
A uncle of my father was the first workshop master of Carl Benz. When I was young and applied for a engineering intership at Daimler.
So my father instructed me to mention that in the interview. But I was too proud and got the job anyway, haha
impressive
How do I get into Benz pls I would need your suggestion and help
What an inspiring and well-scripted story! Well done! 👍
May I commend you for the well scripted video documentary
Bertha and Karl Benz, the great dream team that changed history. They not Only created Mercedes Benz but invented a car and brought human society up a new level of existence never lived before. Their persistence and insistence to build a car transformed the world.

That's what we call a Real Engineer, a Pioneer in history of humanity
Karl Benz made the next centuries possible for all and his Iron Lady Bertha
This video inspires me as I too in a process of starting a business of myself , Karl Benz story encourages me to continue doing what I'm doing and believe that I can also do it.
1 billion in 1954...man that is so crazy
Don’t forget Daimler, he was the Co creator and helped, his daughter was called Mercedes that’s why its called mercedes benz
I have a Mercedes Benz Vito and despite it being nearly 20 years old. it's the best vehicle I have ever had
This video is so well-made that made me watch every minutes without skipping. I even rewind the video whenever i lost my focus just to try to keep up with the explanation. Thank you for the channel!
Bertha Benz is the real hero this wasn't possible without her.
Editing level insane
Determination, Perseverance and hard work
Thank for your time and effort listening to this at work is amazing 🙏🏼
Incredible... It amazing that some of the biggest things in the world begin from the least expectant individuals.
However, the company wouldn't had marked such remarkable success, if not for the wife-Bertha benz. Thank God for a good and visionary wife like her. I pray for such woman like her.
He wasn't so poor ...brilliant and willing to make something with excellent quality 😁
Speaks volumes that most of his inventions seem to be basically 1:1 in use today 😳
Someone should make a *proper* movie out of this
I like how you explain. You're a good storyteller too
I wondered it was for a daughter Mercedes but we has previous vehicle producers before Carl Benz 💯🤴
He was actually born in Mühlburg now a neighbourhood in Karlsruhe. I live in Mühlburg and i‘m studying at Carl-Benz-Schule and I learned a lot about his life in the recent years. Next time double check your informations.
Incredible story! It’s always inspiring to see how someone can rise from humble beginnings to create something legendary like Mercedes-Benz.... Just incredible
proud to own a mercedes
Also a great video
What a wife! What a couple!
I have been waiting for this. Well-done 👏.
Always a banger♥️♥️♥️
I’m watching this in a SL500 😊
May I commend you for the well scripted video documentary ❤❤❤❤

Your a legend 👍
It's very difficult to put into words what a visionary Carl Benz was - and how important his wife was in him suceeding.
I'm more impressed by those who invented the armor missile machine
Thank you for your workYou mentioned that in 1908 the long distance trip to Moscow was started in Leningrad but I think prior to the October 1917 the city was called St. Petersburg.
Perfect video! I would like to learn how they decided the emblem of the company
I was hoping they would cover that part too!
16:00 the way that car just bounced off the wall from a 100% full frontal collision was actually pretty astonishing. Obviously deadly. But the construction and weight of that car is indisputably solid German steel.
The real say of never give up ❤❤
What say
Benz is a really strong man, after going alot setback he still focus on is dream.
Bertha was a huge W
Thats just sexist. Behind every Men its himself. Bet you wont say that the other way around. Men built it by himself.
@@VarunK-ii8eb "Behind every men its himself"? I do not understand! Firstly, men is plural of man & if men built it by "himself" that would mean they did it alone! It doesn't make sense in the English Language! My advice? Learn how to speak English before you type your stupid views.....
@@VarunK-ii8eb Perhaps you just need to find the right Man......

No mention of the icon, the silver arrow
more than a century later, they are producing some of the worlds best looking cars with awsome interiors and technology

@@hhasslinger9601 evs are better, unless Americans make them as obese as their current suvs and pick ups
@@hhasslinger9601 Horses were more reliable, versatile and efficient back then, but the automobile had to start somewhere 🤷♂️
great video, really enjoyed the storytelling! it's amazing how a humble beginning can lead to such incredible achievements. but i can't help but wonder if the focus on individual success overshadows the importance of systemic change in the industry. would love to hear what others think about that.
Did u know tht Karl Benz wife was the 1st driver in this world.
