seriously the best tutorial i have seen in a long time. So much information in 30 minutes and going over stuff people would usually have questions for that other youtubers would skim over. thank you :)
I'm just starting with substance painter ( have been using it for 3-4 days), but I cannot overstate how many really cool quick tips and tricks this video provides, great job !
Thanks so much for this. Learning a lot! I'm glad you can import existing normal maps as I have a bevel modifier I want to bake as a normal map before I export to Substance
I havent finished the whole video yet but I gotta say how thorough it is with the amount of things to be explained, well done you and your team behind the channel!
Just finished this and the robot prior off and on during the week. You made it so simple to understand by simply stating it's basically like another "layer" program. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
this video, fucking perfect. It's one thing to just show off the interface, and talk about their personal artistic preferences when making decisions, but this video really conveys the foundational techniques.
Advise in Video Editing : if there will be yellow dot following mouse cursor instead of zoom in , zoom out will help us to detect where you are clicking. zoom simply distract our eyes where you click!
lol very true. For a special reward skin, MW2019 was more detailed than Modern Warfare 2’s. Their gold had 2 layers: wood or grips were black and the metal was gold. MW2 they literally only slapped on a single layer gold texture. Yes it was custom with swirls and everything but there was no separation of grips and wood sections from the metallic sections
If you don’t mind answering, I’m trying to bake 3D foliage or a mesh with all its texture maps onto a flat 3D plane in Substance Painter. Is this possible? If yes, could you guide me on how to achieve it? Thanks in advance! additionally how didi you made These normal maps before adding to substance painter and what is the work flow for this Detailed Untextured mesh?
Thank you very much for sharing. I have learned a lot of knowledge about mapping here. I would like to ask which website can I buy welding line and Matel Rust? Thank you for your answer❤
Hello! Some question! 1. When isolating certain textures, you only apply with the mesh fill (where you only apply on certain parts), does the actual model from where I exported from have to be separate objects not as one? Since when you only filled on certain objects they only apply to them. I just wanna make sure. 2. The black mask is to isolate the texture for you apply to certain parts of an object? 3. Majority of Substances textures and smart masks are built in?
Seeing how you paint, you made that model and detail on it separately, I mean in blender bolt and triggers main body as different object and combined them right? If so, please let me know
For some reason the normal map I am trying to import is not baking in Substance painter. I can see it in Blender just fine - any idea what the problem might be? I double triple and quadruple checked and I have all of my setting exactly the same as he has his in the video.
Hi! Amazing tutorial, but one question, the Weld Material you used, where can I find it? I didn't see it in the standard Adobe collection, or on Substance Share
Good day, JustMike. I don't know what you use as you primary modelling software, but blender has an add-on called Ucupaint which has a layer based system like Substance, Photoshop and Gimp. You can find it on the Blender Extensions page. There tutorials for it as well here on YT.
NOT a beginners tutorial. You do the same thing others do, in that you speed click buttons and expect everyone to get what you just pushed. I think I just prefer an actual teacher
Wow, all Substance Painter learners should watch this video. It's so instructive

you got it! Check out other Substance tutorials for similar content, more than enough to get you past the beginner stages

thank you for this amazing easy and simple tutorial
It's better than the official Substance Painter tutorial.
Thank you so so so much for the step by step guide.
This was so easy to follow (for both Blender and Unreal)! Thank you!
As far as the game dev process goes, this looks like it’d probably be my favorite part. Love photoshop so this would be even more fun
Finally found the best tutorial, Thank you so much.
this channel is beyond the beeeeeest!!! such a greaaaat tutorial!!!

Thank you so much. I am way less apprehensive about learning SP, Blender and UE5 now.
Thank you so much! You saved my Tutorial Series 😅
This is an amazing tutorial. nicely done.
Where is the previous video he talks about where he adds stitches to a barbarian-looking weapon at 19:56? I cannot find it.
Its in the video called 'Get better at substance painter'. They dont show full texturing process

coporations be selling gold skins for $20. imagine the audacity
Aren’t most good skins grind-able? No skin should be worth 1/3 of a game tho these companies are crazy

Good tutorial, but the topologi is ass
no adequate studio will accept such “textures” :)))
How is the gun free when it's behind a paywall with $15/mo minimum to join!? Niiiice!
Uncheck the donate option or use the free link in the description
His ass did NOT watch the video 😭
The tutorial is too fast paced for a beginner. Making it somewhat slower could be better.
