This either needs to be addressed by packaging the correct charger, or figuring out a way to simply allow weaker chargers to do the job. #firmware update
@@RayOrsini Apple already do not provide a charger, so changing the port does not mean they have to provide a power adapter. Moreover, the regulation says if charged by a cable, the plug must be USBc. Apple also has MagSafe - Apple may "comply" with the regulation by eliminating the port completely, like they did with the headphone jack.
How impractical can you make this? Not only do you not have the right adapter in the box, but it means that charging in a primary use case (i.e.- on a sporting event) is really not feasible. Won't charge from a USB-C battery pack? Won't charge on a USB-C cable from my Tesla. If my game goes into overtime, I'm screwed. Love the product, but this may make it useless to me. Also: just odd to make a video like this where you seem to be laughing about how many products are not compatible with yours.
Anthony, talking about Power. Can you tell me why my yolobox pro will not power off unless I disconnect everything from it? Using the Power down sequence procedure stopped working correctly about four updates ago. It keeps turning back on unless everything is disconnected from it.
I don't know why that would be. I never disconnect anything from mine to shut them down. I long press the power button and select shut down from the pop up.

Heres hoping the next batch are supplied with 'official' supported chargers so warranties dont get voided and so it improves troubleshooting. The above tested both on a yolobox pro and Yolobox portable. Remember people 5W. 3A and USBA to USBC.
Just receive mine 30min ago, i plug it into a Xiaomi Charger and Yolobox Pro doesn't turn on, just gets stuck in boot loop showing Yololiv Logo and then a Battery symbol.
The only way that I used to charge my YoloBox Pro was by using the 'USB A' to USB C' cable, with the USB A plugged into a suitable PSU and the 'USB C' connected to the first 'USB C' socket on the YoloBox Pro. Note: 'USB C' to 'USB C' charging only works if you have a suitable USB-C charger which supports fast charging AND a USB-C to USB-C charging cable with a built-in charging recognition chip!!!! So how do you know if The YoloBox Pro is actually taking a charge? If it is, the green power LED turns red, even if the YoloBox is completely switched off. If the box is off, a quick press of its power button will display the battery status IF IT IS RECEIVING EXTERNAL POWER. Oddly the red 'charging' LED does not go out when the YoloBox Pro is 100% charged, which is a nuisance. Chargers and Power-banks that I have successfully used include:- 1) qBLOC A100 Fast Charger using either of it's 'USB A' outputs, rated at 5V at 4.5A 2) An old Apple iPad charger, using its 'USB A' port, rated at 5V at 2.1A 3) A mophie powerstation wireless XL rated at 5v 2.1A 4) A mophie juice pack, rated at 5v 2.1A Do note that items 2-4 above are below Anthony's recommended specification, so I would only use these for charging if the YoloBox Pro is fully switched off.

So I know this is late in the game but I really struggled to figure out what the true requirement is for powering the Yolobox Pro as well as some other devices I use in my livestream setup. But I finally figured it out. All the numbers and label reading that Anthony goes through really doesn't matter as much as the actual technology behind the power supplied ESPECIALLY if you are using a power bank. What really matters is QC technology. It doesn't matter how many amps, volts, gigawatts your device is putting out if you are using Power Delivery (PD) technology it simply won't work. Even if you are using the higher rated output port on a power bank with a USB C - USB C cable, if you plug in the Yolobox Pro into a PD port it will simply not provide power. Using the same Power bank but plugged into a lower power rated QC port using a USB A - USB C cable and you are in business. This applies to every charging medium I've tried to use USB hubs, stand alone chargers...none of my macbook chargers work because they are PD tech but some older Samsung chargers do work because they are QC, new Samsung chargers don't work because they are PD. Simply put QC certified ports work but PD ports don't for YoloPro. I'm sure all the other stuff Anthony is talking about applies to minimum power output required but more important is the port you are plugged into needs to be QC in my experience. Hope this helps others.
'USB C to USB C' charging doesn't appear to work whatsoever with any PSU that I have tried. It seems that you must use a PSU's 'USB A' socket to the YoloBox's 'USB C' charging port

I just got a Yolobox Pro and based on the guidance got an Anker Nano II 45w which, according to the specs on the box, has an output of 5v and 3 amps but still not charging using the supplied usb-c cable...has anyone found a verified list of compatible power adapter??
Informative to be sure, but not sure I comprehend how necessary the 3A truly is, as I've been using a regular 2A Samsung cell charger brick with my yolobox pro, streaming live for 2-3 hours every single week for just shy of 2 years. Haven't had any issues. Never even knew this was recommended... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’m using an Apple type C charger that’s rated for 5V / 3A on it’s single port and I’m trying to charge my new Yolobox Pro that I just unboxed and it will not charge. The indicator light will flash green then immediately turn red. The “yololiv” logo will pop up on the screen for about 5 seconds and then the device just turns off and restarts the whole process all over again. I’ve had it plugged in for at least 30min to see if it would would charge a bit but it hasn’t. Did I receive a defective device and should I exchange for a new one?

For nearly $2000 Canadian, YoloBox Pro should come with an appropriate charger and a solid carrying case.

So should my Apple 14 Pro Max. . . Which costs 2x as much as a YoloBox Mini.

I got mine recently, and inquired why Yololiv never package the Yolobox with appropriate charger.
The only way that I used to charge my YoloBox Pro was by using the 'USB A' to USB C' cable, with the USB A plugged into a suitable PSU and the 'USB C' connected to the first 'USB C' socket on the YoloBox Pro.
Note: 'USB C' to 'USB C' charging only works if you have a suitable USB-C charger which supports fast charging AND a USB-C to USB-C charging cable with a built-in charging recognition chip!!!!
So how do you know if The YoloBox Pro is actually taking a charge? If it is, the green power LED turns red, even if the YoloBox is completely switched off. What if the internal battery became defective, can no longer be charge, could it be replaced?
Some power adapters say 5x3A but actual performance is not always 15W. That's why it doesn't charge well.

I think my Yololiv is not charging, the battery is at 0% I can't even turn it on or charge, I'm using a 20W 3A charger

Pro has a cooling fan, if it is still hot, you can choose to prepare another one.

Try holding down the power button for more than 5+ seconds. This may help.

using a 5V 3A charger with a 240W cord, Yolo live wont stay powered up. I turn it on and it immediately shows 0% battery and powers down.
Hole the power button for 10 or so seconds to clear the device's cache and power it back up. It may be fully charged.
