Nah, bro. Mint mobile and other companies do not charge data for internet traffic on Ookla's network (the speed test provider), because Ookla shares speed test metrics with the respective companies so that they know how much connectivity is in which area and how they could improve. It helps them improve their network. So speed tests are technically free (saw it in a video)

Harnoor, I’ve had mint mobile for a year now. I will give it a 8/10. There are places where the data does not work inside store..buildings etc..but everything else works. I had bought 8gb unlimited talk & text deal for a year plan which cost 240$ a year, so $20 a month. One good this is I got upgraded to 10 gb a month for free from 8gb. Would recommend mint mobile

Mint will not work internationally and also they give u 100 mins free to india. Hotspot usage for a developer is to push pull code to github and for that visible is far better. I have used it and i was a satisfied customer. After 3 months u will pay more than me. I pay 35$ unlimited tmobile 5g with hotspot 10 gb with 5g. So mint is big no here.
