Enquire with the university for information about the people who are attending the university with you. And also many universities have the Indian Student Association, which will have information about the incoming students. In the Yocket application also you can find groups for particular universities and students usually post once after they get in. So you can connect there too. Try pinging your university seniors on Linkedin. That can make your life easy. ( Do not ask too many questions at once!!!) Attend an information session conducted by your university, there you can find the students who are attending. (I would suggest creating a WhatsApp group and post group info in the chat box of online sessions) All the best to your journey :)
Yudi bhai help here...my profile is- 10th-86.7 12th- 85.4% Btech EE - 61% MBA -72% GRE -308 (160 quant, 148 verbal, 3.5 awa) TOEFL -100 (28r, 27l, 23s, 22w) Internships -2 Work experience -6 months (present as associate consultant in Infosys) Many online certification (like online foundational course in data science and programming from IIT Madras) Want to do PhD , particularly in EE, quantative analysis)? Should I apply for UVA Darden for quantative analysis PhD? How is my profile for phd?
He said booking a flight ticket before a visa interview is a good choice and you can cancel if the visa interview does not go well. But, if we do that do we get the entire refund, or will there be any deduction?

When you book a flight, you can choose a refundable flight so that way you can get the money back
