@@jjjyli686 Because of the way chess ELO works - with a 400+ point difference her mom could (theoretically) beat her in chess pretty much every time and you're seeing a direct comparison between the two along with explainations. Also, Anna Cramling is talking to her mom and the audience, trying to get the match done asap and dealing with the pressure of having a GM player watching over her shoulder (silently judging her lol) all while playing against an equivalent rated bot. Multitasking complicates thought processes and increases the likelihood of errors whereas we're free to chill and look for the best move. She's managed to earn the praise of Magnus Carlson when she played against him in person so I doubt she's trash.

Very nice. It's interesting to see the greater depth that a GM sees. I'd like to see you each play the Black side of the starting position. It might be difficult for family harmony, but it would also be interesting and entertaining to see Mom vs. Daughter with your thoughts. That is you each play the position against each other twice. What does a GM see that a strong expert does not? What is an expert thinking vs what a GM is thinking? Perhaps you need to be in separate rooms, recording your thoughts. "If she tries this, then I'll do that...". You don't want to give away your thoughts while competing.

Look how open the white king is black, has the open file, my bishop is stuck and how am I going to leave my kings defense. I considered briefly what would happen if I pushed the kingside pawns but discarded that idea and settled on getting my king safely defended on g2 first. To hear the thoughts of a GM and how to navigate the position was great and It made me realize that I need to work on defense as well! Thanks, Please do more!

15:02 GM Pia acknowledges Queen trade upcoming, and for white to keep pawns on black.
Everyone agrees a Queen trade at 17:22 would lead to a white victory.
But everyone, including Magnus misses the pin chance for Magnus by moving the Queen to B4 instead of the pawn after the pawn blunder by black at 16:32. This was a mistake by both black and white because Magnus did not capitalize on the forced Queen trade, which would have left his pawns on black, threatening an attack on blacks pawns also on black.
White has a much better pawn structure. How did they ALL miss the best move Queen pin to force trade?
