Worth mentioning that Richard Jeni never did much else and killed himself, nobody knows who Bob Nelson is, and Jackie is listened to daily still even after getting the shaft n
I just want to apologize to my wife Nancy for, uh, the Jessica Hahn bathtub incident. It was stupid and I'll never do anything like that again and I love you and I'm very sorry. And I'm very sincere. And don't, please don't make a mockery of this. I'm serious. I'm sorry. Im not trying to bring the show down I just wanted to apologize. She's very upset. Thank you. I'm done Howard..
Does anybody else find this oddly mean-spirited? I know they went on about how much Jackie complained. But, it just seemed venomous. Funny, but venomous
Comedy is a tough gig. Bob Nelson really didn't do much of note after the 90s, Richard Jeni's show didn't do well (although to be fair, he's had one more show than any of the commenters here have) and later killed himself, Thea Vidale's show didn't do that well even though i remember it being very funny (add it to the pile of shows that didn't get the audience it deserved) and now is on the road. Save your money, cause it's a real short trip.
I don't think so. He had the kind of connections where he could do what he said he would and punch up scripts, which is a pretty lucrative gig. The problem is that Jackie is a niche comic, the kind Penn Jilette referred to as an "archivist," the kind of comic who tells old jokes. While there's definitely a market for that, the big money is in writing 22 minute scripts, which Jackie doesn't seem to be able to do.
Howard can say what he wants about Jackie but I'd much rather be Jackie than Howard at this point.
Jackie's the best.

Losing Jackie AND Jackie Puppet. Not the same show ever again.
That story about Jackie hacking Nancy’s cycloptic dump into small pieces so it would flush is one of the funniest stories ever told on the stern show
“She’s so good in bed Howard” Jokeman defending his woman for her various BS
1990s Gold standard of the HSS.
The bowl spanner! Looked like the golden gate bridge. Toll please….
😂Wasn't it like Richard Jeni who found it or someone like that?
@@Teeveepicksures he found it and chopped it up while Jackie cheered.
You know what's funny about this is besides Tim Allen, Jackie will go down as being more famous than the other guests
Without Howard ...Robin would be living in obscurity, Jackie would atleast have a shot at fame because of his stand up.
Lol. First time hearing this. Lol fuckn Howard!!!

Too much chipmunk oil! Riiiight
Great bit.
howard what happened to you ?
Imagine if Howard gave Robin this treatment?
Who is the 1st comedian
Bob Nelson.
Probably Eve, when she said “Does this fig leaf make me look fat?”
Bob Nelson was big in the 80s and his career had petered out by this point. But he still had 4 HBO specials to Jackie's zero! 😆
Thea’s movie was in 1995 so the jokeman was 47.

Is it possible that Jackie’s career was hobbled by being on Stern’s radio show?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, if he wasn't too tired from getting up at 4am, he could have been writing scripts for Hollywood

I just noticed "Nancy 's Spanner" in the corner!
