Hell yeah
Hi
Can you build Doc Ock’s suit next?
I would love to see you guys make it bigger and strong enough to lift a whole human😁😁
Plz build the arcane hammer or the arcane glove (the league of legends netflix series)
I know this will be drowned in the masses but you deserve to know that you are one of the main reasons I am who I am today. I've been watching you and Mark Rober since the beginnings and you two inspired my creativity and love of engineering. I am an MIT graduate and as of today I am now a systems engineer at JPL. So big shoutout to you man thank you for everything that you do
You got noticed :)
Bro that hit me right in the feels man.
Drowned? Ha your floating on the top of the world
This is wholesome
This is awesome! Congratulations on landing that job buddy!!
Noticed... also good on ya mate
Im all for seeing your employees getting crushed by heavy machinery
Holy crap it's you!
Legendary man is here
I was here
The legend himself 😎
Aren't we all
The engineering here is insane. Now make Doctor Octopus's arms, complete with built in cameras to the claws.
And make it control the user with dark thoughts and can actually hold the sun and climb buildings with nanotech
yeah try that
Incredibly courageous to be able to show off a prototype that didn’t “live up to your hopes and dreams” but it is still incredible and your messaging about learning more from failures is spot on!! Keep up the amazing teaching moments, Hacksmith team!!
that is a really long username

the effort you guys put in to your vids is insane!!
They keep on getting interns to do it 🤣
@@Brigtzen LOL BRO
The only way you guys get a video a week is by us having a team and having people work on different projects... He was here all term for this one video... in the same time we posted 15 other videos/projects...

@@hacksmith that's crazy man!! you have great videos
As a scientist I really enjoyed the authenticity of "hey, sometimes we get close but sometimes we are limited by what we have at our disposal". Really highlights how the sciences ,such as engineering sometimes don't work out, and that's OK, we can still learn and grow from them! Great upload hacksmiths!
I'm a bioinorgnaic chemist by trade for those wondering my science affiliation. that being said I'm one if the rare chemist who praise engineers, they take all the chemical information we obtain and make actual useful products from them, its amazing!
I honestly feel like that fact is ridiculous if anyones ever truly close to creating somthing groundbreaking they should be given as much resources as they need by goverment or another pffical source
I’m somewhat of a scientist myself
Hey scientist make me a iron man suit
Jlaser and Hacksmith are the only way we can have superheroes in real life.
Way to take one for the team, Caleb. Great prototype and great realization of a fictional concept.
This is like a personal Mako surgical robot for surgeons! I just might need one of these! 😁

Every day these dudes edge closer and closer to being real life super villains
I’d love to see you guys and JLazer video team up to make a full Spider-Man suit, cause you guys have a higher budget, but he climbed up a whole building unassited
I liked how even the failures were shown, because failing is part of the process. Nice job on the build Caleb!
Personally, I start every design brief with "must be great for conversing in a push-up position" as the top priority to avoid tragedies like this ;)
But great job Caleb! I particularly liked the work on making a compact, portable hydraulics system - that sort of thing could definitely be handy on other projects too.
Cool
OMG ITS HIM I SUBBED TO U THOSE WEBS WERE LIT DUDE
Love this. Impressive that you were able to get the hydrolics functional with such a small pump. I do hope that you will one day revisit this project and build upon the foundations. It would be really cool to see how the design could be tweaked, whether modifications could be made to the arms to give them more practical uses. Alternatively, I'd love to see you make Dr Octopus arms.
This is so cool, you guys have just inspired me since I started watching years ago, always loved the spider man and Ironman stuff, you are the reason I do what I currently do daily outside of school, I’ve taken these things and scaled them down to make tiny versions or less complicated versions. Without you guys to inspire me I’d just be a regular 14 year old right about now but since I saw your first video and went “damn that’s badass” I started building things of my own and I think I’m one of the most technologically advanced 14 year olds based on what I can make with your inspiration. So I’d like to thank you for doing what you do and not giving up!
Awesome how you were able to get a hydraulics system in such a thin footprint!
Yup
Who needs Tony stark when you have these guys
I need
Tony Stark could fund them for life 🤑
Exactly
They just need a Bit more Time.
My guy this is some dollar store bargain bin tony stark.
Hacksmith: makes superior engineering that no one else in the entire world could make, has the ability to become Ironman
Also hacksmith: ductapes a knife to an arm
I thought it was awesome! And I love that you posted the video, even though it didn't come up exactly as you expected it. It's just great to see the design and building process, as well as the creativity when it comes to solving challenges like this one. I would love to see a follow up on this project, if there were a way to reduce weight and increase power...
You guys really need to make Doc Oc's arms, that would be a masterpiece.
Wasn't there a child that made a really good one that functions?
JLazer made some you should check his vid it’s really cool
@@nicholascasey6473 well nothing wrong with seeing someone else's style of the arms
Wouldve been alot more climatic than this
2:50
Nice tobey Maguire reference
fun fact: this is how actual spider legs work! they use a system of hydraulics to move by pumping blood through their legs. that is why they curl up when they die, when all the pressure is realised, the leg curls in!
Awesome project as ever guys!! Can’t wait to see what’s next
Hell nah this project was bad
@@jasonmartinez5744 why are you trying to start an argument. And keep it for yourself
Loved how the arm design montage was inspired by the scene where Tobey designed his first suit in the Sam Raimi Spiderman.
Edit: Thanks Hacksmith for liking my comment.
They unliked
Editing unlikes it :\
If you edit your comment after the creator likes it then you will lose that like
Oh well, it was cool while it lasted.

Interesting to see some of the "side projects" showing work flow and problem solving etc.
0:48 for those who watched spider man this is exactly the conversation dr strange has with spider man and this is before the movie came out
Because it was in the trailer…
Jlazervideo: "I'm going to make Doc Ock arms"

Jlaser Just did Spider-Man better :/ (watch the new vid!)
@@dominickwest7558 Totally didnt notice it, thank you for pointing it out. Also lets be real, The Hacksmith should leave the spidey stuff to the guy who literally looks like a mix of all three spiderman actors
@@The-True-KingYT wtf man what's up with looks
@@The-True-KingYT yo that's true
Considering how easy it is to get discouraged when you’re just starting out as a maker and want to do ambitious projects, I think it’s very important to see how things really go rather than sweep the less than perfect outcomes under the rug. To show that we progress and learn in stages one step at a time and you can still get a lot out of a project that doesn’t turn out quite as amazing as you’d initially hoped.
Good work Caleb. That moment where you decided to build your own hydraulic pumps? That's what separates a designer from an Engineer in my opinion. That ability to take existing components and adapt them to your needs, and even modify them to work how you want, that's what makes Engineering so hard to learn, but you nailed it.
How do you guys even manage to build all of this stuff it’s insane!
Well.. the videos show you how they did it?? Lol
@@thebystander1636 yeah but I’m just saying they are literally like the first people to invent most of this stuff irl
Imagination, determination and a wee bit of insanity.
@@gingy30 lol true 😂
With a lot of knowledge and money
(30 years later) Next time on hacksmith… we made a working doctor strange portal that can actually teleport!
I swear one day we're gonna be so experienced that marvel tech will seem like nothing
Considering the limitations we have in terms of technology and material I don’t think we’re going to be getting a replica as good as this for a while, amazing job😁
At least not one that isn't literally around a billion dollars.
I think hacksmith can come pretty close if they had millions or billions of dollars at their disposal like tony stark
The biggest problem seems to be getting a pump/power source small enough but still powerful
You guys are the gateway to a future that is filled with all the amazing things we see in films. With the prototype work Hacksmith does, it opens up doors to other engineers to try similar things and create more refined versions. Take this prototype, if it can get refined to be lighter weight, more power and finer more smoothed out controls, you have a perfect device for helping out during disasters. Someone's leg is stuck under a giant piece of concrete after an earthquake, the arms could easily lift the debri and help rescue the trapped person.
You guys deserve a lot of praise. More than you think.
I have no doubt that you guys would close to possibly make the entire suit of iron man that flies
I know you get a lot of comments on these videos with suggestions, but think about how cool a Lost In Space Robot suit could be! You're the only one I know with the skill and funds to make it happen, so I hope it happens some day!
Honestly this is super detailed. Wish the videos were longer so you could show more details
The fact that there's already 1.3 k like in 7 minutes of being released just shows how great the Channel is
Yeah but do you know how many dislikes there are
report from one hour in, we are shy about 100 k
93k in 1 hour
As well as how topical Spiderman is currently.
Not really. It shows how many people have nothing better to do than wait for the exact minute a TH-cam video comes out.
The Tom Holland and Doctor Strange line was perfect to the movie!!
Actually the iron spider suit has a few joints which you can see that it is round and that circle joint binds the three parts of the claw together ofc,I’ve done some casting by melting copper and I’ve found out something useful for the build on the suit. For me,I put a roll of wire and a pulling system(those in badges)inside the joints and the tip of the nail and let the wire pass through the suit,I then attached the wire onto a glove which I can pull and let it stretch it backwards itself.Hope you found this useful and your videos are great!
Really cool to see the improved control over the hydraulics when replacing the DC motor on the pump to the brushless motor, I'm sure that can be put to good use on some other projects!
Caleb is STINKIN HILARIOUS 😂😂 Those pushups killed me... & His upper lip
This will actually be useful in everyday life since we only have 2 arms, but with this we will have 6 arms, it just needs some upgrade so it will actually be useable.
Good job playing up the humour, engineering is hard, good effort Caleb
I can’t believe how amazing you all are at Hacksmith as far as engineering goes. I’m so hyped for this Spider-Man movie!!!
Also, we saw the Toby/Tom/Andrew paper you tore up. You shouldn’t have done that; now they won’t make an appearance…
This project is everything I love about this channel! A fun idea, a wild and wacky execution and a heck of a lot of fun testing it!
Honestly it works and looks just like how I’d imagine Spider-Man’s arms working, but controlling it was always going to be an issue. It’s even debated how Spider-Man would even be able to control it. I would try to use 2 nunchucks and use the Z button on the front to toggle between using the upper and lower arms. I would love to see this project have another go as the mini power loader that is!
Am The Only One. Who noticed Toby, Tom, Andrew, Caleb At 3:02 🌝
Kinda cool that in 3:03 it's written, in the paper that is going to be pulled,
Toby?
Andrew?
Tom?
You only can see it at 0.25 speed and I loved that detail. Congrats to be a step closer to Marvel
I can just imagine how much that cool creation set you back. :-)
Imagine dr.octopus watching this
The shaping of the metal at 4:53 is a little sus
this channel's progression from when he made batarangs, and other batman gear to this is very special to see. We all thank you.
haha this episode is golden! His struggle is right up in character with Peter Parker - Love it!
Oh and I see the engeneering talent here, my comment is in no way meant to insult or diminish him! - Keep it up Caleb!
Controlling deadly robotic arms with nothing but a Wii Nunchuk. Now THIS is the Spider-Man I want to see.
I absolutely love the build! It is amazing to see the things you build and see his they function! I was also thinking for a potential future project, could you build the Green Goblin mask?
Awesome! How many of you have logged into claim your FREE 3-Star Spider-Man (Classic), Spider-Man (Symbiote), and Spider-Man (Stark Ehanced)?
Where’s the parry dex bug compensation?
Not even pinned lol
I made an account and everything but I still don’t see the characters
5:00 Lol the fact that I designed it is the reason that I do get surprised when it all fits together! 😂
I would not be surprised if hacksmith eventually make a fully working iron man suit
The spider' man's pointing each other meme on the PCB killed me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great build Caleb! I think it’s an awesome prototype! I was wondering if you considered using linear solenoids instead of hydraulics? I think you would lose some power but reduce weight and gain control ability. Or did you have a tone of leftover parts from the Powerloader? Your suits awesome regardless!
This video was so neat to watch! The testing was realistic, and the outcomes occurred as they did! Nothing wrong with how the suit performed! It was great fun to see the building and assembly process, as well as the testing. The red and gold colors really gave it the iron spider look!
You should get haptic gloves to control the arms you can use your pinky’s and ring fingers
I feel both impressed and terrified that I've been on this side of youtube often enough that I understood that rapidfire explanation of hydraulics all the way until it cut to the simpler version. (Still appreciate the refresher course though, it's important to revisit the basics every once in a while to brush the neural dust off!)
Love these projects even if they're not super flashy! Keep it up :)
You know this is some serious engineering when you use a wrench for hammering! Jokes aside Amazing work!
Na that's an adjustable hammer lol
who else think they will make an actual iron men suit in the following years
these guys can easily take over the world with their machines
Would’ve been epic if they got jlaservideo to come with his doc ock arms and be like “looks like we got competition”
21:16
Be careful! You are bleeding!
The concept is fine.
Clearly to reach the performance in the movie you need more controls and electronic (like a glove in which you control each spider arm with a single finger and use the thumb to on/off).
Less heavy (which could be possible changing materials and design).
And a lot more powerful (which could be possible using two coupled pumps for each junctions).
All of this would require too much work and effort for optimization, but could be still possible.
In any case, thank you for your work, was a fun video.
We secretly know he's trying to become winter soldier with that long hair 😂 Thought we wouldn't notice but we did.
For your next project you should make a Hawkeye collapsible bow and a special arrows
My favorite MCU suit, come to life. Thanks for making it.
I can't describe how inspiring your videos and projects are... You , mark rober and Michael reeves changed my views about engineering and inspired me to be a maker.
I could see some cool control with 2 people with sensors on their shoulders and elbows to control the arms remotely!
Great job! I see this as a win
You guys can make a Green Goblin costume in real life
This is so cool! Using this with the spider sensing helmet and some pre-calculated automated functions/positions would make it even better! Thanks for making this great video, Caleb is so funny and such a great presenter! 🧡💙

Brilliant concept, and just as he said this is an early prototype, I loved watching this and all of the other spiderman videos, imagine if they pieced them all together or redid one like this one
you guys should build the Hawkeye bow with the motorized holder and changeable heads!!!
It's been done by Jlaservideo
@@Karman2Y5 I could do it better than that video
This was a great video. Even though the project wasn't the best Caleb was a champ. Watching as he failed at pushups and had to have 3 people help him up along with a busted lip and then come out smiling was awesome. Also at the end with everyone hyping him up like they knew they had been there before when a project didn't go as planned. Great video and great lesson on the engineering process. Hope to see more of Caleb in the future.
I understand that your usual comfort zone is marvel and DC superhero stuff but I've always wanted to see something from the five nights and Freddy's series brought to life, like the scooper, or one of the bots from Security Breach
Maybe if you can hook it up to your brain and control it with your mind, perhaps then it will be a lot easier to control, and by extension, perform better.
Wow great stuff! You guys are so inspiring and so fun to watch!! I wish I could work there one day!
It’s incredible, what you guys have made and this is awesome. Congratulations Hacksmith Industries
The fact that you play MCOC is funny AF to me, not sure why, but seeing Morningstar's Morningstar and Guillotine's sword is awesome. May the crystal gods bless you with the champs you want!
i dont know how many years i have stoped going to your channel but i found you on my recommendations and now YOU ARE BUILDING THE IRON SPIDER SUIT?? thats very cool iron man blaster to iron spider suit. One word AWSOME
Really convenient that this video came out the same day as JLazer’s video for Spider-Man climbing suctions. I was able to go straight from that video into this one. Excellent work you guys! Videos like these are making strides in real life Spidey tech and just generally awesome creations
You guys should use more plastic/3d printed pieces to decrease the weight since your builds are always SO HEAVY!
