Paolini's footspeed is impressive, but what's incredible is her anticipation. She has an amazing sense of where the next ball is going before her opponent even hits it. Djokovic has that ability as well. Pretty good company.

100% right. That Osaka had the game on her palm but Swiatek did let Osaka easily. Although they are two different surfaces, they still produced good tennis. Plus there was no yelling like that of Aryna Sabalenka.

True. Donna played better than all other rounds, but i think the toll of many hours on court, got the better of her. She looked exhausted by the time the tie break came around. I think she tried to wrap that match early to avoid exhaustion, but Jasmine resilience changed all that.

I think Babora will, Donna utterly choked here. physically and mentally she couldnt handle it and gave Jasmine chances, also Keys who was serving for the set. I think a good grass player can take Jasmine out in straight sets if mentally they are there.

Great match but Vekic was exhausted by the second set. What kind of conditioning is she doing? That's ridiculous. Paolini is superb. Love her strokes and heart. She's going to be a top 5 player soon and might win Wimbledon with her court coverage.

I think this match gives Paolini a blueprint for how to beat Rybakina , should she make the final as well. Rybakina has a very similar style to Vekic, though she generally makes less UEs. If Paolini can up her serving performance in the final, she could have a very good shot at winning the title.
Now that Rybakina is out, Krejcikova has a more unpredictable game and mixes drop shots and slice serves. So Paolini will have to adjust her game accordingly faster
Paolini beat Rybakina once recently in 3 set QF or SF (I forget which) on her way to French open finals.

Wow, that late game stamina from Paolini and what a forehand! She's so goddamn fun to watch! Give it up to Vekic for putting up a great competition, she played the net well and had some graceful slices. A classic at Wimbledon.
When Paolini loss at the RG24 final against Swiatek, people commented negatively about her.
Some said the RG24 women's final was boring. Easy win for Swiatek.
But boy... Paolini now has shown that she has the mental toughness to be one of the best women tennis athletes.

THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST OF TENNIS MATCHES EVER PLAYED!!!! This game should not have gone into a tie break. The line judges tried their best to help Vekic to win, with some real bad no calls, for some of her shots that were clearly out. But GOD will always reward the righteous.
