Great stuff. What a lot has gone into this game. The lore is interesting - fight between the two corporations, and the robots being referred to as “babies”, then one of them wondering of it was “getting cold”!
You can do some amazing things with the vehicle that don't even involve you driving it, especially once you add a certain upgrade. SPOILERS: 1. You can go behind the vehicle and press a button to store it in your backpack, using only 1 slot. (You can only do this if the item inventory in the vehicle is empty. It's fine to add all the upgrades, though.) 2. Once you upgrade the vehicle to have oxygen, you can put it down any time from your backpack and hop in for a few seconds to restore oxygen, again using only 1 slot. (There is a trick to obtain Zeolite early for the vehicle upgrade.) (You can build a second vehicle and use it only to restore oxygen making the Living Compartment obsolete when you just want oxygen.) 3. Come across a lot of loot? Fill your vehicle up with massive amounts of loot (especially after you upgrade vehicle item storage), then run back to base and use the Recall button on the Vehicle Station to warp the vehicle and all the loot inside back to your base. Poor man's teleporter. (You could also drive back, but if you are not really fond of driving it around then this is an amazing option.)
My Obsidian miners are near that ship and water under the overhang, you can mine Obsidian in a large area there. I shot up the rocket that shows where ores are to mine so I missed that cave you found as I never found Obsidian on the ground.
Great Video, I have made it pretty far, and the dust cleared off that cliff at the beginning area, man it is so worth the wait. No spoilers from me, LOL I am having a horrible time finding larva, I find 4 or 5 and then none for hours.
You missed some rods on the ground outside the container where you could deconstruct the nuclear reactors. I stopped playing last night at 1.45 TTi, you're making good progress.
In the grass area, where the big obsidian rocks are, you can put an extractor down even though theres nothing on the ground. You don't have to put it in the cave. 🎉 ..and yes, you can mine the Uraninite in there 👏🏻
I ran across the sinking issue with my own bauxite rig, it was dark when I went over and I initially thought I had bugged the game and made my rig spawn way higher after a save and load. Needed a staircase to reach the rig even with the rocket pack. Currently at 2 out of 5 TTI and only just noticed that the unlock screen does NOT have an escape rocket unlock available. So, guess I just live on Planet Humble forever now. I'm now building a subterranean base past the melted ice in the ice canyon to maximize my crafting. Going to need a place to shelter from those super alloy meteor storms anyway!
First time I drove around with the vehicle in the main game, I managed to drive into into lava and couldn't get out again. First and only death in that playthrough. But on the plus side, I got an achievement for taking a bath in Lava. Also, small spoiler, the car doesn't break in lava, so I could summon it back to my base.
@@surtrplays Oh, it wasn't fun when it happened. I panicked a bit to be honest. But it was pretty funny in hindsight, and I stopped driving to the volcano area. lol.
just found my favorite area - future beach site (where the huge pit was in the beginning of the game) - it's awesome but only accessible in the later part of the game.
I found my first Superalloy rod in one of those aluminiumiumiumium spheres, didn't blow it up myself it was already open, so maybe theres a small chance of getting one when you blowit up.
I'm on 150MTi, ready to ramp up production and explore few remaining areas. Set up my main base same place as you (and many else). Sadly can not remove the old stuff and rocks.
Tips for the t2 extractor on the dlc planet: There is a super alloy cave which is where that dust storm was in the first biome, later build 16 ore extractors for the uraninite because it is the only way to get iridium and uranium, there is an osmium, sulfur, obsidian, zeolite, bauxite (aluminum), and the rainbow quartz item which I have found but will not reveal the name of for players
@@vinodmidha8752 Goodness I only have 3 and I am having trouble keeping the system flowing properly. Something is always clogging the crushers up and I have to manually clean them out. Need to rethink how I'm doing some stuff.
Hey btw take some O2 bottles with you... so u dont have to build pods... I take two O2 with me.. less space taken up in your to go traveling inventory. I have also found other Ozmium , and Zeolite places to mine... tho I cant find Aluminum to mine
Oh my word! I had to interrupt my own playing to say the stalks at the starting pod are not coral. Go back and have a look! [I've just had my first super alloy fall.] I know you've probably found out yourself by now, but just in case you haven't...
@@surtrplays so did you see what's at the base of the stalks? I'm just thinking we won't need to be in a hurry to plant those if we keep collecting from here
I have no problem using QoL mods but not in a playthrough. I'm being very careful not to corrupt a playthrough save. I may explore some mods later, in a separate series.
@@surtrplays the reason i asked.. i thought might like to use the stacking mod ... lets u store and carry more stuff but that is why i asked im really getting interested in the underground area also i wonder about that giant cliff near the starting point has it changed 🧑🌾 🧑🍳 🧑🔧
I was surprised you didn't bring back that Zeolite on your first trip, although it would only have allowed you to make the vehicle beacon which probably wasn't the most urgent of upgrades. Now you know what happens when you rush one particular measurement - you start unlocking machines you can't craft because you need more Ti first. Wow, wild mushrooms! That was the one thing I didn't like about Planet Prime: your only source of mushrooms was random seeds from chests. Well, I guess you could recycle circuit boards for bioplastic... Notice that the Aluminium nodes are close to each other; if you're careful you can explode two at once. (Obviously more useful early game.) Heh, you were just complaining about a lack of uranium and then the game gives you four free rods! Given that you reached Trees without actually unlocking any tree spreaders yet, I wonder why your Biomass seems so low. I'm going to guess not enough plants rockets, but that's just a guess.
@@surtrplays He is saying that, I believe, because I think that is a way to get the Zeolite you needed when recycled. (But it doesn't look like you need Zeolite as much as before now anyway.)

Excellent tips. Thanks so much. I didn't even think about the last one. Will use it from the caves because its really difficult to drive out of them.
Did not know you could put rover into your inventory, now I have a reason to use it. thx.
Sooo much stuff to pick up! So much to see! Surtr "busier than a one-legged man in a backside kicking competition" ... and loving it!
Great viewing! 🍻
LOL, yes indeed. Very busy over here.
That ship is a death trap! Exploring without checking your oxygen will certainly do you in quickly!
Yup, all wrecks are like that.
My game finally melted enough for me to see where the zeolite is hahaha Crazy!!
Good to hear.
My Obsidian miners are near that ship and water under the overhang, you can mine Obsidian in a large area there. I shot up the rocket that shows where ores are to mine so I missed that cave you found as I never found Obsidian on the ground.
I will get to the rockets soon but I do put down an extractor for Obsidian, in the next episode, and the placement was a bit of a surprise.
Really enjoying this series!

The trade rocket is unlocked with a blueprint chip that you have to find.
