Looks like 7 seats missing from each of them Kop rows, these are the seats around the disabled section so could be for assistance to those not great on their feet?
The seats in the Kop are accessibility seats - been like that for ages for Ambulant Disabled supporters so no reduction in capacity due to them this year. (My son qualifies for these seats and we’ve sat there for 4/5 years)
I’ve been saying this a lot so I apologise for repeating, but I seriously hope Liverpool commission the re-spraying / re-painting of all seats in Anfield before the new stand is unveiled. It just wouldn’t make sense to open a brand new stand with beautiful red seats, with the rest of the seats of the other stands all faded, the Main Stand lower tier seats are in particularly bad shape.
It's a long time since I've been around the back of The Kop and the main stand (Blue who no longer lives on Merseyside) and there seems to have been a lot of houses and shops demolished from what I can remember there used to be there. The stadium looks far more out in the open now. Does the club own the land where those buildings used to stand and are there future plans to expand The Kop?
Totally obscure and not related but The rock reef at Red Rocks Wirral is probably the model for the 'Axel's Island' geyser on the front cover of Jules Verne's 1864 novel Journey to the Centre of the Earth (front cover and inside illustration). It can only really be proved by getting a drone up on a high tide to replicate the exact angle. Just a thought if you want to prove that we have found the centre of the earth.
Hi Nick, just to clarify the situation with the ticket ballots there are two important dates regarding that. The first date of Monday 31st July is the date that people successful in the ballots will be notified and guaranteed a ticket, the second date Tuesday 8th August is the date those tickets will go on sale to successful applicants. Consequently we won't have confirmation on how many seats are available in the new stand until the 8th August. The club aren't anticipating any delay in the stands availability, the only uncertainty is how many seats will be available for the Bournemouth game. If in the worst case scenario there is a reduced capacity in the Annie Road end for that game it won't be a major issue, only the one game should be affected.
Hi Nick, great vid as usual. The new approach from over The Kop is providing some great footage. When you were looking up at the top row of seats, I noticed that they've started to apply the yellow safety paint on the steps. Defo getting there!
Nick I love watching your videos and think you and the other drone lads provide a great service to us all. I set in the front of the Kop and you tend to get pensioners and ambulant disabled supporters round the front few rows, so I think its for better comfort and ease of getting up out of the chairs. Hi Nick. Just to comment about the seats. I checked my photos from Monday. It doesn't look like any others have been fitted. Could they be on hold while the rope access guys are working above. I know they are doing near the SKD stand at the moment. Just a thought
Hi Nick, great video . I have been saying this for months about a delay. Nick, the council, can release the seating area in sections, i.e., the bottom section, then some of the new sections, so slowly building numbers able to attend. The test advents are to see how emergency processes are delt with. These can be done over 2/3 days, and they can be done in sections if the H&S team believe that some areas are safe. Some of this will be fire doors, stairs from slips hazard, handrails also first aid areas, fire equipment, plus catering , clean fresh water, gas or electric safe, toilets all these are to cover can the new stadium cope large numbers safely. So that's why more workers are working inside . It was stupid for the builders to release so many temps and contractors. My money is that the dum builders will bring back temps to work day and night to finish the seating.
Hi Nick, been watching your videos on the Anfield Road Expansion since the very beginning. Keep up the good work! I'm highly skeptical they'll be finished in time by the Bournemouth game. There is still a lot of cladding, brickwork and landscaping to do.

Everything seems to be going at a snails pace and I get the feeling that it won't be ready on time. I really hope they prove me wrong.

I can't believe the lack of steepness on the Kop. Looks like a 4:1 or 5:1 ratio. Not good behind the goal when you've got foreshortening of the entire length of the pitch. Although a lower, single stand, does make for more noise.
They could have added more seats in both corners if they’d merged both the main stand and the KD stand with AR stand. I think the corners is a waste of space in my opinion.
Alright mate just wondering if you can find out when the Taylor Swift concert is on next year that stage is at the Anfield Road stand just thought it was a bit weird that is was at the new bigger more modern stand and not at the Kop end.

The armrest Inn the kop have been there for years, as a member sat all over the kop and sat in one of the for the FA cup matches few years ago. As the test events, I did both events for for when the main stand was getting its certificate in august of 2026, with the first home game being a month after it, tho that might of been because of international break late normal.lands in September tho.
Hey Nick, I was looking at PL fixtures. Let’s say hypothetically, if Liverpool know they can’t hold two test events before August 19th. Do you think they’ll be able to switch that fixture to Bournemouth instead as Everton are playing away from home that weekend so might make a bit of sense. So before Liverpool’s first home game they’d play three away games & not at home until September 3rd agains Aston Villa. I visited Anfield today and had a good look around the outside. Wow the new stand is big! As I was walking back to my van I overheard 3 workers who heading over to the stand. One was saying there is no way it’s going to be ready its just that no one wants to make the call. (To say it’s not going to be ready on time) Obviously this is just a conversation I overheard and not fact. I think it will be very close but as you’ve already covered on your channel I think getting the safety certificates needed may be what delays it. Thanks for all your hard work in making these videos. Evening Nick, lighting at that time of the morning is excellent. Progess is bring made on seats cladding etc. One thing I noticed the NIKE logo on seats has gaps with red seats! Seems odd to me. Hey, I was inside doing a collection job on the 1st of July getting some equipment from inside the Anfield Road end absolutely nothing at all was done inside nothing what so ever I was convinced and tbh still ammit won't be done on time I asked the 2 lads helping load the van who work there do they think it will be done in time and they where both convinced it would be said they hand it over to LFC on the 19th at mid day.. honestly I would be blown away if it's done on time would love to see what's been done inside now since it was over 2 weeks ago now..
On to this of what I think the stand will be at capacity and open but I can tell you on the 1st of July not a single thing under the lower stand was done it was I can see them putting toilets in but there will be no refreshments etc and will be all boarded up in places as I said the 2 lads I was speaking 2 both said yeah it will be all done but I just couldn't see it when I went inside thought a month and a half to go and you fully have to fit the insides

I could imaging that the Council might telling the club that in order for them to grant a license for a certain number of additional seat the club will need to hold test events with minimum number of people. So, before the test event they will know provided the test event is successful the number of extra seats the license will cover. So, that will be how the club will know number of extra seats before the test event. However, I wonder if the stand might open with slightly fewer seats than originally anticipated and those extra seats added after couple of games. For example in corner by main stand they have to finish the cladding to walls then install new terraces the seats. That corner they might not have the seats installed by 1st home game,, but they will be available shortly after.
Hi Nick, any news on where the away end is going to be? from the original pictures, it does appear that they are moving to AL9 and AL8 in the lower tier along with AM7, AM8, AU7 and AU8 in the upper tier, but the athletic are saying that they are staying where they are?
Hi Nick, Been loving watching your videos over the last few months. Just to reply to the person about the seats in kop with arm rests. I've sat here a couple of times. They are for ambient supports with none obvious disabilities like autism ect. The club have been brilliant with this side of things and made great strides being more inclusive for supporters with hidden disabilities. Keep up the good work. Thanks Rich

Looks like all the bottom section in the Anfield Rd has safe standing seats, maybe the away fans will be moved to the upper tier, surely they wouldn’t give the away fans safe standing seats giving them the advantage to make more noise as they will stand all through the match.
It's probably already been mentioned but I'm watching this right now and I've noticed that the scaffolding has come down from the sides of the new upper tier, and the inside cladding's been done so maybe confirming what I said a couple of weeks ago about them doing the inside cladding first before blocking up the gap on the left side as you look at it from the Kop?

Re. The Kop arm rests. It looks like for every 7 seats, there’s 6 with arm rests in front, so a small reduction in capacity unless seats have been relocated elsewhere.
Hi Nick, I noticed that the scaffolding has been removed from the upper tier of the stand. All the inside roof cladding must be now complete. Roll on full completion but remember safety first guys. 👍🏻
looks like there is a steel in place next to the base of the green cherry picker which could possibly indicate that they definitely looking at putting seats into the lower corner to fill it all in

No they where planning on building a hotel on that land but have now hand the land back to Liverpool council

Normal rows had 29 seats, 2 rows with arm seats have 23, so it looks like 12 seats in total have been lost.

Bought tickets yesterday from my club bournemouth for the game v liverpool hope it does go ahead as booking hotel as well for weekend with my son.

Black netting is off the Anfield Road end to separate home and away fans and is just there whilst the building work goes on.

the only thing i can see different is some cladding on the main stand side and the scaffolding is down on the SKD side.
Think net on KDS, also one on MS above tunnel is to show where halfway line was to give ground staff some bearing
