Sunderland fan here. I took my lass down to the City a few weeks back for a Beatles themed Birthday treat. Although i did purposely make time to drag her along for a brief visit to the new stadium. Very impressive. A good looking modern ground. Hopefully it’s location will also help to regenerate some of those beautiful old abandoned mills and warehouses nearby. Of course i miss Roker and it’s atmosphere(night matches especially), but understood how we had to move with the times. I’ll also miss Goodison as well, although not as much as you guys as i’ve witnessed some of our worse results and performances there over the years.😂 I do wish Everton FC all the best though, always had a soft spot for the club. And i’ll never forget the love you all showed young Bradley. Hopefully see you soon, and in The Prem. 🇵🇪
I wish all the best to Everton from a SPORTING Clube de Portugal fan and also i like Everton one of my favourite English football sides ( the others are mainly Tottenham and Aston Villa ) . Cheers from Lisbon 🇵🇹💚
I don’t think I said they had a modern stadium. It was more so they are investing $$ in trying to move a larger stadium. I guess I could have made that clearer
Definitely. I went to Goodison park 24 years ago and couldn't believe how decrepit the stadium was and the terrible sight lines for fans. They were talking about a new stadium back then. Glad it happened, but they have taken so long that the stadium is costing an absolute fortune!
Great video. I think in the long run it could definitely pay off with the added benefits of a new stadium, but the club needs to get the financial issues under control.
Always amazes me how many reds come on here just to have a pop. Best bit is theres not an original comment amongst them all. Magnificent stadium for the first merseyside club.
Always amazes me that Everton fans think they are a comparison to the Mighty Reds just because you come first. Imagine if we hadn’t of had all that success , the people of Liverpool would never of had all them glory days we gave them. Thanks for Anfield too btw, it’s fits just perfect. Head up lad you might have a chance of winning a title next year you carry on with this fine form 😂
Considering the cost of certain NFL stadiums with not much bigger capacities, this is an absolute bargain. Especially when you consider the site preprration also included draining and filling in an entire dock!
Great fly round video Nick looks great , Toffees need too sort it out hopefully not next weekend against Leicester I'll be cheering leicester of course but good luck for season👍
Bramley Moore Stadium have allegedly considered the windy conditions of the Liverpool waterfront in their design. The stadium’s architecture includes features to mitigate the impact of strong winds. For example, the roof has been designed to not only enhance the acoustics by bouncing noise back into the stadium but also to withstand and manage the local wind conditions. Let's hope this is true as recent videos would suggest that they have not taken high rainfall into account 🤣
Stadium from the outside looks cool because as an East Bayer after seeing the Howard Terminal renderings, I love waterfront stadiums. Design is a bit fucked though (what’s with the need for that brown wall?). And contrary to all the jokes in the comments, Everton will be fine when it comes to the relegation battle. They’ve pulled a draw against the Magpies and beat Palace.
Will end up being a recruitment centre for AS Roma. Did you see the press release from the new owners, Everton wasn’t mention only Roma their main interest?
Really, "New Owners" no one has bought EFC yet why would Roma be above EFC ? Italian league does not make as much money, EFC have won more trophies, EFC will have new ground while Roma have been trying for years to get one. Why do people like you comment when it is clear that you have little knowledge of the subject.
The location must enhance the City moving forward need to ensure Transport to and from stadium is good and hopefully the local area will follow with apartments etc
As a Liverpool fan I want Everton to do well enough to not leave the Prem as having 2 Prem teams is better for the city as a whole, but just bad enough for me to be able to laugh at them every season. All jokes aside they needed a new stadium, whether it was the best decision to sink so much into a stadium with the current state of the club on the pitch will only be known down the line, we all seen how much Spurs struggled after a spending a fortune on a stadium.
Everton currently sit at the foot of the table with zero points after 4 games. I think it's going to take more than a new stadium (which does look very nice) to turn things around!
Has anyone wondered how everyone’s going to get off that tiny island and through the four little gates in that massive wall when the match finishes or in an emergency?
It's a ten minute walk from the city centre plus there's always buses put on match days from the train station which is about half a mile away..as for Goodison they are apparently building Dr's surgery housing and office blocks..don't ask me how that's all gonna fit in that footprint.
They teamed up with Sefton Council to work on a transportation plan. Shuttle buses to and from Bootle Strand and there’s also the Merseyrail. As for Goodison park it will be demolished and then 10 new development blocks on the land will be built part of the Goodison Legacy Project.
As a evertonian I can see us being champions of Europe in 10 years time .this fantastic stadium will be a game changer every top player will want to sign for us soon 💙🤍🇬🇧⚽️
Please help me I'm rather puzzled.....there appears to be a feeling that Everton's new stadium will automatically lead to a change in success on the pitch. At this moment in time I'm afraid that's a deluded pipe dream.
I don’t believe so. It will def. help bring in revenue and possibly bring in some new players but they still have a lot of work to do to get back to success on the pitch
Nothing is automatic but it is projected that the stadium will increase turnover by 75 million pounds. Currently Everton's turnover is less than 200 million. That increase will make the club easily the richest club in PL after the top six clubs.
That's your assumption....all Everton can do is follow through with the ambition to generate more funds which will have a better chance of success on the pitch.... though not guaranteed.
The new stadium may look good and bring in extra revenue. But what's the point if the team taking to the pitch are crap. Everton need a whole new squad. If they get relegated as everyone knows getting out the championship is extremely hard. The championship is a better quality of league than a lot of Europe's top division.
It changes peoples’ perception of the club and they can make more money, but that will not translate into more transfers; not that more is always good of course, Everton have proven that.

Saying Goodison was impossible to expand is a lie as it could easily have been re-built with just a few terraced houses removed unlike Anfield which swallowed up street after full street. The new stadium will ensure that some plastic outlets are built next to some soul-less apartments and other inferior homes with no real community, the same rubbish that the planners have always delivered.
The question is- will Everton be able to re-capture the glory years and be able to join the EPL elite-Arsenal Man city Liverpool Man Utd Aston Villa Newcastle Chelsea - or will they forever be a former clubs with a big history such as Sunderland?...
