idk how i feel about this lmao. The sad and slightly bitter words of a scorned sapphic have been turned into "lol ur poor and you look like shit". Very different meanings 😂
The mix is so good it's kind of a shame the new lyrics have basically nothing to do with the original song, at this point it's just an original using Good Luck, Babe!'s melody
You have a great voice! I do wonder though, was the change in the song’s meaning intentional? I’m a lesbian myself and I’d have loved to see a cover of this song in medieval style that maintains the same context
Thank you! I usually just make up the lyrics which often diverge from the originals - the theming of the original track is done so beautifully that I don't think I'd be able to add much to it even if I tried!
I do really like this, but the meaning has changed considerably. Instead of a song about sapphic heartbreak caused by comphet, it's now a diss track (from a man?) making fun of a woman for being poor. The lyrics chosen are insnaely creative--I admire how they are (in my non-expert opinion) historically accurate while also fitting the rhyme and meter well--but they do not fit the original meaning of the song well.
Of course! I just try to be creative with the lyrics and go with whatever my brain comes up with even if it completely diverges from the original. My version of Yesterday by the Beatles ended up with me dying of syphilis which isn't really related to the original meaning either 😆
Merlin singing it to Arthur after he marry with Gwen.
Girl, same though
The "Good Tidings, Good Fortune" has such a ring to it
An upbeat song to accompany salty or vengeful Bards that were rejected by fallen nobles. Nice! 👍 👍

I never knew I needed a medieval diss track of a petty ex boyfriend this much in my life
Called me broke in a million different ways

Damn, I was not expecting to be as brutal of a roast as it was. It slaps though.
I am OBSESSED with this cover, I have listened to on a loop on and off for the past five days. You have me in a fucking chokehold here.

Ok but can we all talk about his voice! It’s so good idk why but the way you pronounce things scratches a very specific spot in my mind!
Naww thanks so much!

If this could please be put on your Spotify I would be so happy.
very catchy actually
I really love these covers. I only have one minor pedantic quibble: when thou changest the pronoun to 'thou' the verb also changeth accordingly.
Ah, this is a good tip, I will try to remember 😆
This is the funniest way of calling someone broke 💀
love it

Very entertaining but um kinda misses the point of the original. And I know you know there were people having queer relationships in the Middle Ages.

...can I say I prefer this version
This feels very @PatMandziy6725, in sooth
