How did you manage to place the explosive? I'm having trouble because I fire my weapon when I attempt to place it.
That can be an error caused by a range of things from: poor installation, missing user config, Incorrect mission modules, Or just a server misbehaving.
Check that all of your other ACE stuff works correctly, Check the modules in the mission, Check Arma vanilla Explosives and then possible reinstall ACE.
Is there a way to make the IED detonate with a trigger or make an Ai detonate it because I want to make a mission where I'm in a convoy and I want the front vehicle to get blown up.
8 years too late but this is mostly for new people who see the comment:
Give the ied a variable name ex “ied1”
Place a trigger and in the triggers innit box put “ied1 setDamage 100;” and have the trigger fire with an option of your choice
I cant find the phone in miscelanous items at all....
can you IED a vehicle lets just say a quad bike if you lave the bike while is walking foward she will keep acelerating , can you ied the bike to run into a nato position and KABOOM ?
I know thia might be a bit late but place any explosive on the vehicle, link it to a detonator and you are set. If u want to go full isis, set it to a dead man's switch and ram any vehicle in sight :)
why cant i place the ied? Could my other mods be blocking it? CBA and RCE?
+VVarhead666 CBA is the base for most mods, I'm not familar with RCE
the Escalation mods?
You should get familiar with them.
The escalation mods go under RHS? most of these videos have RHS running. If i am wrong about RCE please link me to their armaholic page.
This would be easier to explain over teamspeak but yes it is doable. Youll need to place a marker so that the bomb can get coordiantes or you can set the bomb to the vehicle either way you'll need to know some scripting.
