Nice! 😎 👍, orange / black look awesome together. I bought a M109r a few weeks ago, the amount of HP and torque these bikes make in just stock form is crazy. I love it! 🤓
Amazing Job, Wowww my M109R is exactly like yours on begin just with 3000 miles 2013 my first Custom bike just now I understand what type of custom I like, Bobber style !!! I still removing some parts !
Awesome informative video. Subbed. Love the orange and black scheme.... really does look sweet....you must be very pleased...I would....and it looks like you enjoyed bobbin it...
Absolutely nail the exhaust to the engine on the 9 & not to the frame. Their engines are rubber mounted at the back so if secondarily mounted to the frame they will eventually leak at the exhaust port flange. There's not many mount points to go from on the motor but if look close near the right lower rear engine mount you can drill some holes for brackets.
Wow dude, fantastic work. I'm hot to get an M109R myself here in Pasadena California. Can't hardly wait ! I've had a Honda VTX1800 and Vulcan 2000 but I know the M109R has an edge in feel and power over both these. Looking forward to it :^)
@@craigslistofprojects3451 Yeah Suzuki put a racing engine in that bad boy compared to the other brands. I'm chasing up a gorgeous black and yellow 2008, oh yeah!
@@fantastictommy great colour, my favourite factory one. Yes, you can tell about the engine. It loves to rev, they n have a top end powerband too. You will feel it kick in, I had a power commander and a timing retard eliminator on it. Made the bike think it was always in 5th gear so used the full ignition timing map, made a big difference. No more pops and bangs either, ran smoother.
Thanks mate, so the intake tubes are from Ebay see below link; www.ebay.com.au/itm/Matte-Spike-Air-Cleaner-Filter-Intake-Kit-For-Suzuki-Boulevard-M109-M109R-PE-/255222505208?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0 Then I just bought some black cone air filters from golebys and adapted them to fit the Ebay intake tubes.
Pro tip on painting. You dont wont your surface smooth. You also dont want gouges and scratches. But the surface itself should feel a lil rough like sandpaper. The reason for this is the paint will better adhere to the surface. A smooth surface will chip and flake off at a much faster rate compared to a rough surface.
*Did you just put a 300 mm Metz on a stock 8.5" rim???* *Also, this is a great job, and if I was you would definitely put in a hydraulic clutch if it's not done already?*
@@craigslistofprojects3451 *It's your call but personally, I wouldn't go more than 260 on a stock rim. Tire damage is not the issue, rather it's more of a safety concern especially handling in cornering.* *I am sure you might've read a lot about it on m109r Forums.* *Ride safe and kudos again for all other mods you did. It looks great.!*
Awesome! Random thought. Do you think raising the foot pegs an inch would drastically improve lean angle without compromising safety? It’s a fairly whipable beast but those pegs seem to drag so fast.
Hi Jean, no modifications to the frame were required. You could put all the original parts back on the bike and return it to factory spec. That was one of the big things in building this bike, I wanted to do it with the option to restore the bike back to original.
Hi Jason, I'm not sure. Wish I'd have kept a tally of the weight savings. I can tell you that it was quite considerable, was an absolute monster afterwards and loved spinning up the back tyre.
@@craigslistofprojects3451 awesome, im gonna start doing a bobber build on my 109 this winter, I’ll probably post on my channel about it. Beautiful bike! Thanks for the inspiration

You won't be disappointed, these things surprise a lot of people in terms of power.

Great build what headlight did you use?
Hi Stefan, it was just a cheap led one from Ebay. If you search on ebay you should find it, just a universal led headlight 👍
Miss you
So beautiful, l want something like this for mine . Unfortunately l don’t have a brother that you’ve got.

What paint and primer did you use to paint the wheels and the engine covers? Did you have to remove the chrome first?

Thank mate, well the exhaust you to catch before my pegs. But then again I lowered mine 2" at the rear.
Awesome job!! Do you recall where you got the seat?
Thanks Greg, yes it was off ebay. Just a universal solo bobber seat. 👍
what size are your tires ?
Standard front tyre, and the rear is a Metzler 280. 👍
Very nice work, did you have to cut any part of the frame to be able to install the rear fender?

where's the headlight and bracket from? looking for one for my 2018
@@danielgage4923 I just made one out of sheet metal, did it out of cardboard first then copied it into steel.
GORGEOUS... it’s possible to tell, how much in US dollars you spent to make this AMAZING WORK🤔.... I do love the Suzuki M-109 ...
Hey Paulo, it cost me around $1500 au, so going off today's exchange rate it would be $1,144.65 U.S
Do u happen to know how much weight was saved from taking off the rear fender?
