Balam is the Korean word for wind. It can also mean hope. So using the word Levanter for it's English title is very fitting. There was a trailer for Levanter that helped piece it into the story. I'll give you a bit of info for that one. In the trailer for Levanter, you see the members in scattered areas that they have traveled through. They seem to be reaching for each other through dimensions. And you see that when they are crossing paths on the street, I.N & Chan have static & feedback that effects them & spreads to the others. In the elevator, it's actually Chan who presses all the buttons when Seungmin is reaching for the Han in the lavender fields. Then we see Han with them as the elevator goes out of control. (The crazy numbers are an indication that is not just going down or up, but across space as well.) The door that forms isn't the elevator that they had been using. It links so much in their story. Every path they took opened & closed doors. (This will come into play in Back Door.) And then we get the lore for Levanter.
- Levanter starts with them seeing the door, and the lavender field group in peace on the other side where nothing changes. Everyone is then in separate places after that.
- The tunnel seems to be the one from My Pace, but the distance between Changbin & I.N crumbles into a chasm before their feet. They also dance as a group there. A lot of the choreography is reminiscent of past choreo. Felix & Hyunjin from Side Effects, except this time Felix comforts Hyunjin's fears. The Mirror choreography of Changbin & Hyunjin. The move Han & Hyunjin do is very similar to the one Seungmin & Lee Know do in Mirror as well. The dance with Chan in the center is reminiscent of both District 9 & Double Knot. (Also, if you watch the dance practice for Levanter, it starts with Chan raising Hyunjin up from the ground in almost the same way he was laying at the end of Side Effects MV.)
- We see Felix in a place outside of time & space watching the compass. It seems track the other paths & members form other realities. I.N can see some of this, as he is the glitch. When he was talking about letting go, it was with Felix holding him. Then Felix reassures everyone that "It's all good". Chan is the one who brings I.N's attention back to what the others were doing when he got distracted with the other places he could see.
- They burned the elevator & the ticket. But they also let go of holding onto the keys. These were all things that they hoped led somewhere, or symbolized a path that they thought they had to take. Because they were searching so hard, they got lost in trying to find the way. They lost sight of the reason they had started in the first place. Here they realized that what they needed wasn't something they had to chase. When they realized this, they went through the door. And even though it had a keyhole, they never used a key to open it. They left the quiet lavender fields that were anything but paradise, they left the darkness, they left the destruction that they had traveled through behind.
People tend to try to say Levanter was about Woojin leaving, but if you look for old reactions to trailers for Levanter, you will see Woojin. He was part of it till right before it was to come out. So they had to push back the release, redo all the songs, and reshoot a lot of the MV to be without him. Yes, They were angry & upset when they did this. They were quite devastated, and that bled through into their emotions as they sang. JYPE deleted the old trailers & edited Woojin out of those. They had already shot most of Astronaut as well, so Woojin had to be edited out of that as well. So this being the first comeback & video after he left, it is definitely like a re-debut, but it was an ending. They then had In Life with Gods Menu & that was the beginning of the SKZ we know now.

@@barbaragonzalez3306 from what I understood the album and most of the mv's were done by the time he left that that stuff had to be either rerecorded or refilmed bar astronaught, which was edited alot.
46:30 I JUST noticed that, that staircase Felix is jumping around on is the same staircase he danced on in S Class? I wonder if that staircase is just like... on the JYPE building or something, so it's an easy spot to film on 😂

I am totally behind you doing a full album listen of 5-Star. I think it definitely shows where they are right now and will be a great point of comparison to what will technically be Natasha's first comeback later his year. I think they would enjoy seeing just how much they change from one comeback to the next and not just over the years. Keep it up!
Fun fact about the Question video. The part with Han shoving his shoe in everyone's face & them recoiling is probably true. Early Han had a nasty habit of not washing his feet as much, so his shoes tended to stink. He's gotten better over the years.
When the boys were starting out their budget for MVs was very little. The boys wanted to give their fans more content so they did street videos that they filmed themselves. I think there are 7 of them. Question, Boxer and Mixtape 4? Were all filmed in Australia.
Manic ...... they are all in cosplaying outfits to represent how we pretend to be someone we are not so to fit into society. They are saying underneath we are all unique, maniacs. Although we love maniac, it was a rough time for SKZ. HAN had injured himself so couldn't participate in the dance during the MV. Later Felix injured his back and couldn't participate in the live dance.

You should watch the dance practice for Levanter it is so good with all the formations
there is also a second meaning to levanter which is “a person who runs away leaving unpaid debts” I think this resonates more with the song considering there talking about reminiscing or like losing something (woojin)
I'm pretty sure when Levanter was written Woojin was still in the group. People say it's about him but timeline wise it doesn't make sense.

Next time you should definitely show them "19" by stray kids. It's a super underrated song and I LOVE the music video. It's probably my favorite stray kids song atm.
