    Merci pour cette vidéo François. J'ai créé un sharepoint IT pour l'entreprise le mois passé, et j'apprends à utiliser flow. La vidéo était très claire et m'a permis de créer un générateur de reception form.

    I would like to populate one Word document with multiple lines from one sharepoint list. Is that possible?

    • @digitalfrancois
      @digitalfrancois  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I have done this for instance with multiple line address. Give it a try

    Hi, thanks for the tip,but have a problem. I want to ask why when i choose "when item is created", mine shows the field names (from the SP list), unlike yours which only has "site address" and "list name" (mine has it as well).
    I dont know this is related or not but my Word document is not populated by the newly created item in SP List and returning blank values. hope you understand what i mean. Have a nice day

      sorry about the delay. Did you figure it out? I would look into the "talking" between SharePoint and Word.. making sure that there is no login issue, re-install Word even ...

    Hi there! This is exactly what I was looking for but I a little bit more in depth help. Is there any way I can connect with you off line and possibly hire you to assist me? I have a sharepoint list and a word document. I need to mail merge certain rows based on certain criteria. I am having a ton of trouble trying to get this to work and your video cut off without going further. My company just migrated to using Office 365 from google and I am so frustrated! Thank you in advance for your hepl!

      Sorry for the delay. Have not received any comments notification recently ;-(
      Keep experimenting to find the solution, and look at third party like Plumsail may help too accelerate.

    Can you please provide a workaround for those who don't have premium feature?

    • @digitalfrancois
      @digitalfrancois  ปีที่แล้ว

      no need for premium, unless this has changed in the features model again. Anyone else here tried recently?

    Hi Francois, Thank you for sharing this video, I was really looking for this solution on how to populate list data to SP. I couldn't see the rest of the flow. the video ended before showing if the flow was successful or not. the reason I am asking is I don't have access to premium connectors. I want to make sure this works so I can ask my manager to get approval to get access to the premium connector.
    Thanks in advance!

      you are right, the last seconds got cut - I will check that ;-(
      However, I am showing the process of writing the Power Automate and yes it works and generates the Word doc, and a PDF if we add an additional action to convert Word to PDF! Just get Premium license as it will only be for the 1 user who is running PowerApp on behalf of

      @@digitalfrancois thank you, just checking if this is possible for excel, populating data to excel?

    • @digitalfrancois
      @digitalfrancois  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@slideman2706 I would investigate using a third party, like I did here (Excel to PDF) as it does the job fast and simply. And yes they do have excel generator which I used to.

    Hi Francois, first of all thank you for taking the time and effort to make a video, much appreciated! As you already heard the ending was bit premature (it's really hard to not make a joke out of this one). What I'm really curious about is the maximum length of the fields you are populating. Or to be more specific; can you populate a field with more than 255 characters using this premium connector? Because I've made this work without using premium connectors, however that puts a limit to the length of the fields to be populated (which is a Word/Office limitation, really). I suspect the premium connector has the same problem...

    Why the polulated document didn't keeped all backgrounds?

    • @digitalfrancois

      that sounds like an incorrect format type, check extension and format encoding.

      yes, it is now Premium. And it is unlikely to find a Doc Gen tool for free nowadays.🤥
